The Ghost Realm.

Today, the usually peaceful Ghost Realm has suddenly descended into chaos. The reason is that a giant serpent has escaped from the depths of Hell. It is said that the giant serpent has been imprisoned in the Ghost Realm since ancient times, but for some reason, after being imprisoned for so long, it suddenly escaped.

"Quick, go stop it!"

"No, boss, this snake is too powerful, the brothers can't stop it at all!"

"Go! We can't let it get away! It'll be a disaster if it gets to the human world!"

Seeing the group of ghost messengers desperately resisting the giant serpent, Yue Jiuzai couldn't help but want to lend a hand.

Actually, the giant snake's 'escape' was also somewhat related to her. The incredibly sharp blade plunged deep into the enormous snake's body, but Yue Jiuzai clearly encountered difficulty as she pierced it. The snake's scales were far harder than she had imagined. Had her short sword not been an extraordinary weapon, she might not have been able to even wound the snake.

"Hiss~ Damn it!"

The giant serpent, pierced by the Moon's Calamity, writhed in pain on the ground. It could speak human language and transform into human form. In the blink of an eye, it transformed into a man clad in armor.

The man looked ferocious. As soon as he transformed back into human form, Yue Jiuzai immediately drew his short sword, fled from his side, and blended into the group of ghost messengers nearby.

Although the man had been stabbed, it did not have much effect on his body. He could still easily defeat the weak ghost messengers. Just as Yue Jiuzai was about to make another move, the master of the underworld appeared.

The newcomer was none other than the legendary King Yama, a majestic and imposing figure. He emerged holding a token and began smashing it against the man, saying, "So you've finally come out after all!"

"Hmph, I've already said it before, you can't hold me here!"

When the man saw the King of Hell appear, he became somewhat wary and stopped fighting. He exchanged a few blows with the King of Hell before running away.

After seeing his prisoner escape, the King of Hell didn't show any reaction, only saying, "Alas, it seems this battle was ultimately unavoidable."

When Yue Jiuzai, who was hiding to the side, saw that King Yama had come out, she tried to sneak away from him, but she didn't expect that she still couldn't escape, because King Yama seemed to have already discovered her and called her back.

"Wait, are you Yue Jiuling? Or is it a split soul of hers?"

King Yama called out to Yue Jiuzai, "Don't go yet, I have a few words I want to say to you."

Recalling his violent theft of Hellfire years ago, Yue Jiuzai made a plan in his mind: as soon as the King of Hell made trouble for him, he had to run away quickly and not stay to be caught.

What Yue Jiuzai had imagined never happened, because King Yama wasn't there to cause trouble for him. He simply turned to Yue Jiuzai, who was following behind him, and said, "I know you came to the Underworld looking for something, but there's nothing here that you're looking for. You should leave. Also, I won't hold the matter of the Netherfire against you; consider it the only assistance I can give you."

"Hmm? Your Majesty, do you know what I've come to the Underworld to find? And what is that assistant?"

After hearing King Yama's words, Yue Jiuzai was utterly confused. Unfortunately, no matter how much she didn't understand, King Yama offered no further explanation. He simply opened the gates of hell and expelled her: "Of course I know. Go now. I can't tell you too much. You'll understand what I mean later."

"Hey, what the heck? Can you please explain yourself more clearly?"

Seeing that she had returned to the human world, Yue Jiuzai was completely bewildered, because she really didn't understand what Yama King meant by what he had said to her, and the 'assistant' gave her a bad feeling, making her feel very uneasy.

Since Yama had already driven her away, Yue Jiuzai could no longer enter the Ghost Realm, so he simply went back to find Yue Jiuling.

It was still night in the human realm. After having a late-night snack at Xiaobaicai's restaurant, Yue Jiuling packed some food for her family's divided souls. When Yue Jiuzai returned, she ran into her friends who were having a late-night snack.

"Hey~ Tsk tsk, you guys are having a late-night snack, is there any for me?"

When Yue Jiuzai returned, she saw everyone eating a late-night snack and immediately felt very hungry. However, unlike Yue Jiuxing and Yue Jiuyue, she didn't rush to grab the food as soon as she saw it, acting like a reincarnated hungry ghost.

Seeing Yue Jiuzhai, who was politely approaching her and asking for food, Yue Jiunian smiled. She pointed at Yue Jiuling and said, "Ask Jiuling for some. By the way, you came back quite early this time."

Yue Jiuling and the others had actually had a premonition about Yue Jiuzai's return, because they had sensed it the moment Yue Jiuzai was driven out of the underworld by Yama. Therefore, they were not very surprised when they saw Yue Jiuzai.
