As she spoke, Qingcheng got off the bed and walked barefoot toward the hole.

There was nothing he could do. He had discovered his shoes were missing when he woke up earlier, but he couldn't find them in the cave, so he suspected that they had been lost when he was captured.

Qingcheng didn't actually want to drink; he just wanted to see if he could get out of the cave. Initially, he planned to lure the snake demons away one by one to fetch things for him, but now that he discovered they didn't know what alcohol was, he wanted to use his search for alcohol as an excuse to leave the cave.

Qingcheng's plan was well-thought-out, but it still backfired. Although the snakes didn't know what alcohol was, they were quite intelligent. When they saw Qingcheng walking towards the cave entrance, they all blocked the doorway and wouldn't let her out.

'Hiss hiss hiss~'

A dozen black snakes blocked the entrance to the cave, hissing and flicking their tongues at Qingcheng as a warning, clearly intending to prevent her from leaving the cave.

Seeing their behavior, Qingcheng said impatiently, "Hey, what do you mean? Your boss told you to take care of me, and this is how you take care of me? I've been waiting for water for so long and it still hasn't come back, and I didn't get any wine. Now that I want to go out and find some myself, you won't let me pass. Is this how you treat your guests?"

'Hiss hiss hiss~'

After Qingcheng said a lot, the snakes ignored what she was going to do and just stood guard at the cave entrance, refusing to let her pass.

Their stubborn refusal to give way made Qingcheng so angry that she wanted to just rush out without a care in the world.

However, he remembered that these snakes were all poisonous, so he held back. He wondered what if he got bitten again? The wound from the previous bite was still throbbing. Although the two-headed water dragon had told him before it left that the poison on his buttocks was gone, Qingcheng was still a little scared.

"Hey, can you guys even understand what I mean? I said I'm going to find some alcohol."

Qingcheng stood with her hands on her hips, looking down at the snakes on the ground. However, the snakes all stood up, sticking out their tongues and hissing warningly at Qingcheng.

Seeing this, Qingcheng realized that communicating with them was no longer an option, and it seemed that he had no choice but to force his way through. Although there was a possibility of being bitten, there was no other way. He hoped that the snakes would not bite his butt again, and that they would bite other places if they didn't bite him.

"Hmph~ You idiots, I'm not going to bother with you anymore, I'm going out to find some drinks, seeing you guys is so annoying!"

Qingcheng tried to walk out of the cave. He slowly stepped out of the cave and then made a surprising discovery. The venomous snakes that he thought would bite him seemed to be afraid to bite him. Instead, they were slowly moving back. Although they were still hissing warnings, they still made way for Qingcheng!

After discovering this, Qingcheng boldly took a few more steps outside. With each step he took forward, the snakes retreated a little. Although the progress was slow, it at least gave Qingcheng hope of sneaking away!

But just when Qingcheng thought she was about to succeed and excitedly took six or seven steps, an accident happened!

The snakes probably thought that Qingcheng was too far from the cave entrance and couldn't let her go any further. Instead of making way for her, they all pounced on her and tried to drive her back into the cave!

"Holy crap! Weren't you guys afraid to bite me?!"

Qingcheng was stunned when the snakes pounced on him. He hurriedly retreated, quickly pulled all the snakes off his body and threw them aside, then looked at the snake swarm with some fear.

He couldn't understand what was going on. They hadn't dared to come near him before, so why were they acting like this now?

"Tsk~ How could you guys do this? Luckily, you didn't bite me~"

Qingcheng realized that although the snakes had pounced on him, none of them had actually bitten him. He suddenly understood that the snakes weren't actually meant to bite him; they had simply been trying to scare him and prevent him from leaving.

Having figured things out, Qingcheng was no longer afraid. He braced himself and said to the snakes, "Come on, as long as you don't bite me, I'm definitely going to get out of here today!"

As he was about to walk out of the cave again, the snakes hissed at him again and tried to jump onto Qingcheng's body once more!
