Chapter Fifty-Four Error

"Is there something wrong with the person who found it? What could be wrong with them?"

The woman was skeptical after hearing the 'master's' words. She no longer really believed in this so-called 'master', but she didn't know who else to turn to for help to save her son.

The master nodded and said, "Yes, my talisman is unlikely to have any problems. As for whether the problem lies with that person, let me try it and we'll know."

The master then found three sticks of incense for worship in his shop, lit them, and placed them in an incense burner on an eight-immortal table. He also lit the candles next to them.

He prepared everything he needed for the ritual, then took out a yellow paper talisman with incantations drawn on it and placed it on the table. He muttered incantations and then used a peach wood sword to draw and gesture in front of the incense burner.

Despite his efforts, the yellow talisman on the table remained completely still, lying quietly in its original place.

"how so?"

The 'master' said in surprise, 'That's impossible. Let me try again.'

As he spoke, he began repeating the same actions he had just performed, while the older woman next to him grew increasingly distrustful of him.

"Heavenly spirits, earthly spirits, all you great gods, manifest your divine power, rise!~"

After the incantation was finished, the yellow paper talisman on the table finally made a slight movement, but it was only a slight movement, because it just floated up slightly, less than a few centimeters from the table, and then immediately fell back onto the table.

The master's expression darkened upon seeing this: "Tsk, how could this happen?" He asked the woman behind him, "Do you remember who you gave the talisman to?"

The older woman answered honestly, "It was just a little girl. I saw her at the entrance of a restaurant. She was queuing to eat there, and when I saw that no one was paying attention, I secretly dropped the money and the talisman there."

"Do you still remember what she looked like?" the master asked, frowning.

The woman recalled, "It wasn't dark yet. I remember she was neither fat nor thin, and about the same height. Oh dear, I can't quite recall, but if I saw her again, I'm sure I would recognize her."

The master nodded and said, "Yes, it seems that the talisman is being suppressed by someone, which is why your son hasn't recovered yet. How about this, come back to me tomorrow and take me to that restaurant to find that girl, and I'll see what's going on."

The older woman had just seen the paper talisman float up by itself, even though it was only a few centimeters high. She said, "Okay, I'll come back to see you tomorrow."

The woman left after saying that, leaving the master staring thoughtfully at the yellow paper talisman.

The next morning, Yue Jiuling was woken up by an alarm clock. It turned out to be the alarm clock that was supposed to take Yue Jiunian to the station.

"Hey, get up! Aren't you rushing to catch the train? Why are you still sleeping? Get up now!"

Yue Jiu Nian was sleeping soundly with her blanket when Yue Jiu Ling's commotion woke her up. She got up with messy hair, squinted, and said, "What's the rush? If you miss the train, you can reschedule."

Yue Jiuling was already getting dressed to brush her teeth and wash her face when she glared at Yue Jiunian and said, "You can change your ticket. I don't have to go to work, you bastard. How about this, you keep sleeping, I won't see you off, you can go catch your own bus."

Upon hearing this, Yue Jiu Nian said, "Fine, I'll get up then. I'm too lazy to change my ticket. I can just sleep after I get on the train."

After quickly washing up, the two headed straight for the station.

Yue Jiuling saw Yue Jiunian off into the car and watched it drive away before leaving. She touched Shuang'er with a hint of reluctance and said, "Sigh, I'm leaving now. I hope we can all be reunited soon."

The Twin Swords seemed to sense their master's emotions and trembled slightly.

"Beep, work card."

When Yue Jiuling returned to the management office, she just made it to the last minute before work started. Looking at the clock on the wall, she said, "Thank goodness, I was just two minutes short. If I hadn't made it to the perfect attendance bonus for the month, I would have missed it again."

Little Cabbage walked over with a cup of soy milk and said, "Sister Jiuling, you're here! Here, this is some soy milk I just made. Do you want some?"

Yue Jiuling hadn't had time to buy breakfast because she was taking Yue Jiunian to the station, so she took the soy milk and said, "Thank you, but you gave it to me, what about you?"

Little Cabbage said, "It's okay, I bought a lot, I can make more anytime, it's instant soy milk powder anyway."

Hearing Xiaobaicai say that, Yue Jiuling lowered her head, took a sip of her soy milk, and said, "Oh, that's good. Hmm~ Not bad, it's quite sweet. Thank you, little cutie~"

"It tastes great, right? Haha, you're welcome!"

As the two chatted, they walked towards the desk and happened to run into Ya Zi, who was eating breakfast.

There were several steamed buns on Ya Zi's table. When he saw Yue Jiuling arrive, he greeted her, "Good morning! Have you had breakfast yet? I have some left here, would you like some?"

Yue Jiuling nodded and reached out her paw to grab the bun without any hesitation: "Not yet. I was in such a rush today that I didn't eat anything. Luckily, I had Xiaobaicai's soy milk, and now I have your bun, otherwise I probably would have been hungry until noon."

Little Cabbage said, "Thank you, Brother Long, but I've already eaten today, so I won't take any more."

Ye Dongfeng and Yinni were catching up on sleep, both of them clearly having stayed up all night playing games.
