"Hey, what are you doing? We haven't even started eating yet, and you're already pulling out your wallet?"

After asking about the situation, Bai Xinyu skipped back and saw Yue Jiuling looking down at a bright red hundred-yuan bill, seemingly lost in thought.

"Hey, snap out of it! I just asked around, and apparently this restaurant is having an anniversary sale with everything 50% off, that's why there are so many people. Do we still want to eat?"

Bai Xinyu was scrolling through her phone watching videos when she heard someone call her number. She immediately raised her hand, holding up her waiting number: "We're here! Is it our turn?"

The waiter was a young man. He glanced at the order in Bai Xinyu's hand and nodded, saying, "Yes, please come in with me."

The waiter led the two into the restaurant, took their order, and then left.

"Phew~ I can finally come in. I was quite tired after waiting outside for so long."

Bai Xinyu fiddled with the chili sauce ingredients the waiter had just brought over: "By the way, I just calculated that this meal isn't very expensive. I can treat you, so we don't have to split the bill this time."

As a civil servant, Bai Xinyu had to admit that the two of them were definitely the poorest among their comrades, so poor that they even had to split the bill when they ate.

While she was speaking, the waiter was already serving them their table of food.

When Yue Jiuling saw the sauerkraut fish that made her mouth water, she immediately put down the money and yellow paper talisman in her hand and picked up chopsticks to eat the fish.

In the middle of the night, Yue Jiu Nian was sleeping while she was still struggling to catch her train. Suddenly, she woke up with a start, grabbed the short sword 'Shuang'er' in front of her chest, and stared sharply at a dark shadow on the ceiling above her bed.

That dark shadow was actually a ghost. The ghost was probably attracted by the aura emanating from Yue Jiunian, and it probably wanted to 'eat' Yue Jiunian.
