"Hey, do you know where there's a big cave on this hill?"

Deep in the mountains, Yue Jiu Nian would ask any plants or animals she saw if they had seen any caves, but almost none of the people she asked were spirits or demons, so no one answered her questions.

Just as Yue Jiu Nian was about to leave in disappointment after searching almost the entire mountain, she jumped onto a large rock and shouted at the empty surroundings, "Hey! Is there anyone alive? Isn't there even a single sentient being who can talk?"

After Yue Jiu finished chanting, she quietly squatted down to listen to the echo of her voice in the mountains. She was extremely disappointed. There was nothing in the mountains except for those small animals that had not yet developed intelligence. There were hardly any animals that could talk.

However, just as Yue Jiu was contemplating whether to leave now and go back to prepare for the exam, the large rock beneath her feet suddenly began to shake.

The large rock could actually be called a megalith because it is so huge, about the size of a small truck.

The sudden shaking of the large rock startled Yue Jiu Nian. She thought it was an earthquake and quickly jumped off the rock!

"Holy crap, was there an earthquake?"

However, after Yue Jiu Nian jumped off the rock, she found that the ground did not vibrate at all; only the rock itself was vibrating.

"Huh? What's wrong with you? Is something underground trying to come out?"

Yue Jiu Nian curiously reached out and touched the big rock to see what was going on, but to her surprise, the big rock shook even more violently and even started to talk!

"Hey, stop touching me! Who are you? Why are you stepping on me like that and disturbing my sleep?!"

Yue Jiu Nian stared in shock at the shaking boulder and exclaimed excitedly, "Oh my, big boulder, you can talk! You scared me to death just now, I thought it was an earthquake!"

Suddenly, two strange eyes and a peculiar mouth appeared on the originally uneven surface of the large rock. It said impatiently in an old man's voice, "Hmph, what's wrong? Are you plants and animals allowed to become spirits, but we can't?"

Yue Jiu Nian immediately knew that the stone spirit was angry with her. She smiled and said, "Hehe, not at all, you stones can become spirits too. I'm really sorry for stepping on you just now, hehe~"

"Hmph~" Big Stone snorted and said, "By the way, I think I heard you making some noises when I was sleeping just now. What are you trying to do?"

When Yue Jiu heard this, she immediately remembered her own business. She said, "Oh, right, it's like this. A long time ago, I lost something in this mountain. I remember losing it in a cave, but now I can't find the cave. Do you know if there are any caves around here?"

After hearing this, the big rock shook its body and recalled, "A big cave? If I remember correctly, there seems to be a cave behind me."

"There's a cave behind you? Quick, let me see!" Yue Jiunian said excitedly.

The large rock is located near the mountain, but it is so big that no one would guess that there is a cave behind it; they would simply assume that it was originally located there.

Yue Jiu wanted to find the cave as soon as possible, so she tried to push the big rock away. However, the rock was too heavy for her to move by herself, and the rock's cultivation level was not high enough to move it on its own.

Big Stone looked at Yue Jiu Nian and said helplessly, "There's nothing I can do. I've only been a spirit for a few hundred years, and my cultivation is not enough. If I could move, I would have been running all over the mountain by now."

Yue Jiu Nian frowned and looked at the big rock with sweat dripping down her face, saying, "What should we do? I really need to go into this cave, but I can't move you away."

When Yue Jiu heard that the big stone was feeling unwell, she immediately went to check on it and found that there was indeed a problem, because the big stone had been knocked away by her and had a corner broken off!
