Master Celestial Jiang Si transmigrated into a book and became an 18th-tier, internet-hated celebrity. In the book, Jiang Si had offended the original heroine, Xiang Zhiyi, leading to widespread ru...
"Don't worry, I'll go take a look."
After Jiang Si agreed, Zhou Chongyang breathed a sigh of relief.
Zhou Chongyang took leave and personally went to the airport to pick up Jiang Si.
"What about your friend now?" Jiang Si asked.
"He's having a blast at the bar." Zhou Chongyang looked worried; he had no idea when his brother had learned to dance at a club.
They just keep jumping around, just like they did more than ten years ago.
After being laughed at for being old-fashioned, he quickly learned the modern trend of clubbing and became incredibly energetic.
He never used to go to places like bars.
I didn't see him like this when he failed the exam.
It's midnight, and the bar is in complete chaos.
Jiang Si followed Zhou Chongyang inside.
How could one not drink in a bar? And most of the people there were young. Once the alcohol took effect, they all wanted to go up and chat with Jiang Si, but because they had Zhou Chongyang, a big, silly guy, with them, they didn't dare to go up.
"He's the one dancing the most enthusiastically up there," Zhou Chongyang said, pointing to the dance floor inside.
Jiang Si looked over and saw that Fan Shuda was acting like a madman, twisting his body wildly, as if he was releasing what he had been suppressing for too long.
Jiang Si remained silent, while Zhou Chongyang, feeling somewhat uneasy, asked, "Master Jiang, is my brother alright?"
Although he sent Jiang Si to check if anything was wrong, he actually hoped it was just a false alarm.
"Something's up." Jiang Si didn't explain why, but simply asked Zhou Chongyang, "Where did he get his tattoo?"
"It's a newly opened tattoo shop, and I heard it's quite popular. Lots of people get tattoos there, even the kind that aren't considered strange or unusual."
You could understand getting a flower tattoo or a dragon or tiger tattooed on your body, but why did it have to be a ghostly image?
The old man couldn't understand the young man's curiosity.
"A lot of people?" Jiang Si suddenly turned her head.
"Is it serious?"
"It's quite serious." Jiang Si didn't expect there to be so many people involved. They really are asking for trouble. "Let's not worry about your friends for now. Let's go check on them first."
Zhou Chongyang glanced at his friend again, paused for a moment, then turned and took Jiang Si to the tattoo shop.
In the car, Zhou Chongyang said, "I actually checked that shop, and everything seemed normal. The tattoo artist was a very polite young man. I checked his background privately, and there was nothing wrong with him. He graduated from a regular university, failed the civil service exam, and then opened a tattoo shop."
“What you’ve investigated is only what he wants you to see,” Jiang Si said.
Zhou Chongyang hadn't even touched the deepest part of it.
Jiang Si never expected that there would still be people from the Ghost Clan alive.
The Ghost Clan are not ghosts, of course. It's just that all members of the Ghost Clan are born with the spiritual power to communicate with ghosts, and they do business with ghosts.
"What do you mean?" Zhou Chongyang asked.
“They are a very mysterious race,” Jiang Si said briefly. “They are born with the ability to make deals with ghosts.”
The more Zhou Chongyang listened, the heavier his heart became, and he accelerated a little.
When they arrived at the tattoo shop, the door was closed.
"It's closed for the day," Zhou Chongyang said. "What else can we see?"
"Let's pry the door open and go in," Jiang Si said.
Zhou Chongyang: "???"
As a police officer, Zhou Chongyang never imagined that one day he would trespass on official documents without any identification.
"Don't hesitate, the person has already run away." Jiang Si said as she got out of the car, "The moment you came to find me, the person was gone."
The ghost clan deals with ghosts, and ghosts have a vast network of knowledge. Knowing that Jiang Si had come to their door, they immediately reported it to Yin Fengyao.
Yin Fengyao packed up and ran away immediately.
Zhou Chongyang: "!!"
Jiang Si didn't even bother to scan the surveillance cameras, knowing that no one would call the police to arrest her.
She took a hairpin from her hair, inserted it into the door, and with a gentle twist, the door opened automatically.
Zhou Chongyang: "..."
He didn't know whether, as a police officer, he should turn a blind eye.
Jiang Si swaggered in.
The place wasn't messy at all; it seemed like the owner had simply gone out for a quick meal.
Even the catalogs I selected for the clients are still there.
Jiang Si opened the book; it was quite thick, and the whole book could be described as a collection of pictures of a hundred ghosts.
There are all kinds of ghosts, old and young, male and female, just like real ones.
There's even a picture of a demon mother, heavily pregnant, looking like she's about to give birth.
Jiang Si asked without much hope, "No one has this tattooed, right?"
Zhou Chongyang was reviewing the records, his expression somewhat grim: "Someone got a tattoo a few days ago."
"Who on earth would be so foolish as to tattoo a ghost mother image on their body? Do they want to become a mother early?" Jiang Si was speechless. She leaned over to look at the records.
Only a name and a phone number were left on it.
Zhou Chongyang quickly called back, but no one answered.
"Never mind, give it to me." Jiang Si took the notebook and quickly calculated the exact location.
"Let's go quickly." Jiang Si was unusually anxious.
“Okay,” Zhou Chongyang said.
Following Jiang Si's directions, they made their way through the winding streets until they finally arrived at a rather dilapidated residential building.
This is an old residential area, so the lighting is rather dim.
Jiang Si asked Zhou Chongyang to stop the car, and after she got out, she quickly walked into the alley.
The alley was dimly lit. Zhou Chongyang was about to warn someone to be careful, but then he thought that it was probably someone with ill intentions who should be watched out for.
After walking in the alley for a while, I soon saw a figure lying on the ground, thanks to the faint moonlight.
I walked over quickly and found a young woman clutching her stomach and moaning softly in pain.
Zhou Chongyang quickly helped the man up; his face was so pale it startled him.
