"next time?"
It's like a child throwing a tantrum because they didn't get their favorite toy.
Upon hearing this, Guangyou gently shook his head and said:
"I think this time is the best."
Ai felt a little helpless in the face of the somewhat childish Kōyū.
But what can we do?
After all, he's the boy she likes.
Even though she knew he was faking it on purpose, Ai softened and chose to give in.
She nodded, made a move to get up, and said:
"Then you can sit here."
"I'll go pour you another glass."
Before she could get up, Guangyou suddenly called out to her:
"etc."
"No need to pour it out."
"I didn't actually want to drink milk."
These words made Ai stop getting up.
She looked at Guangyou, a hint of confusion appearing in her gentle gaze, and asked:
"Then what do you regret?"
Only now does Ai realize that she seems to have misunderstood.
Looking at the empty cup on the table, Kwangyu slowly said:
"I regret that you didn't get to drink it."
That sounds a bit strange.
It's just milk; you can pour more if you want more.
It's nothing rare; there's plenty more in the fridge.
Ai, who is naive when it comes to love, has no idea that Kousuke has other thoughts in his mind.
Feeling something was amiss, she didn't dwell on it, simply saying:
"I already drank it."
She had already had a drink before that.
She even took a few sips of the second cup.
She was a little unsure what Guangyou meant by those words.
But with her keen mind and understanding of Guangyou, she vaguely sensed that something was wrong.
Her eyebrows furrowed slightly, and her questioning gaze swept across Guangyou's face, trying to find some information from his expression.
This allows us to speculate on what Kwang-yu is thinking at this moment.
But she couldn't find it, so she had to ask Guangyou herself:
What are you thinking?
Under Ai's gaze, Kōyū glanced into the bathroom.
Seeing that Mingmei hadn't come out of the bathroom yet, he bit his lip lightly, as if he was struggling with something.
Such a Guangyou is not common.
This is why Ai is even more convinced that Kousuke definitely has ulterior motives.
She felt a layer of "guard" against Guangyou, but she didn't show it on her face.
Her tone was less gentle than before, and more indifferent than usual:
"Just say what you think."
"Is there anything you can't tell me?"
The cold tone did not diminish the trust contained in those words in the slightest.
Guangyou felt a warmth in his heart upon hearing this.
He nodded, gestured for Ai to come closer, and said:
"Ai, come sit over here a bit."
I don't want Mingmei to hear about this.
Upon seeing the gesture, Ai didn't immediately sit down.
Her gaze swept across Guangyou's face.
Although she didn't notice anything unusual, her intuition told her that Guangyou had other ideas.
Unlike when the two first met, Ai now has some experience.
Seeing Guangyou let her get closer, she recalled their previous conversation.
She had already guessed what Guangyou was thinking.
But Guangyou was unaware that she already knew, and still looked preoccupied.
She couldn't help but think to herself:
"This guy..."
"My mind is full of unhealthy thoughts."
Her words were full of disdain, but she was just teasing.
Even after learning of Guangyou's thoughts, she did not immediately get up and leave.
I'm still sitting on the sofa.
She pretended not to know anything and said to Guangyou:
"What is it?"
"Just tell me directly."
"It's okay even if my sister comes out."
Didn't you already say that?
"We're all family, why worry about these things?"
What does it feel like to be choked by what you say?
Now Guangyou has truly experienced it.
He was speechless upon hearing this, having no way to refute it.
After a long pause, Guangyou finally managed to utter a sentence:
"That's true."
He figured it out; Ai must have guessed that he wanted to "ambush" him.
For a moment, he was plunged into self-doubt:
Was I being too obvious?
In the past, his "sneak attack" plan would have been a sure success.
He thinks he acted quite well.
Although he is not formally trained, compared to those actors who can only count numbers and have the same expression throughout the entire performance, he is definitely worthy of being called an award-winning actor.
Of course, this is just a comparison with those actors.
Compared to a true movie star, he is undoubtedly a hundred million miles away.
only...
Even so, shouldn't it be more obvious?
Seeing Kōyū's speechless expression, a faint smile appeared on Ai's face.
Her tone remained unchanged as she asked:
"Go ahead and tell me."
"What is it?"
Now that the plan has been exposed, Guangyou can no longer continue the act.
His previously troubled expression vanished, and he waved his hand, saying:
"fine."
"I've figured it out."
These words made Ai even more certain of her suspicions:
"That guy, Kōyū, is really something..."
"They're always thinking about 'sneak attacks'."
"Even today..."
Recalling what happened in front of Akemi today, her face flushed slightly.
However, it wasn't very noticeable under the warm lighting.
Even though Ai didn't call him out on it directly, Kousuke was still a little embarrassed.
