Chapter 1098: Disappointed Fujieda Soka

Behind Yukiko Kudo, Conan looked utterly helpless.

He muttered under his breath:

"Hello, hello, hello..."

Where did these lights come from?

"And this is called 'low-key'?"

A male voice rang out from the darkness nearby.

"I found these lights in the storeroom of this house."

The sudden sound startled Conan.

Then, Kwang-yu emerged from the darkness.

Upon seeing Kōyū, Conan clutched his chest and rolled his eyes.

"Why do you walk without making any sound?"

Guangyou showed no intention of apologizing.

He retorted to Conan with a self-righteous air:

"If there are footsteps, won't someone notice us?"

After recovering, Conan waved his hand and said:

"Forget it, I won't argue with you."

"Tch." Guangyou curled his lip and didn't say anything more.

As Yukiko Kudo had instructed, he took out his phone and took a few photos of her.

...

"Click!"

Yukiko Kudo pressed the switch, and the living room became bright again.

After the lights came on, Eri and Ran asked at the same time:

"So, Yukiko, do you already know who the murderer is?"

Kudo Yukiko gave the two an OK sign and said with a smile:

"yes!"

"I already know everything!"

"Who is the murderer, and how did they deceive us?"

"Could they be using surveillance cameras?"

Unaware of the truth, Inspector Megure and Takagi began to speculate.

However, none of them guessed correctly.

After shaking her finger, Yukiko Kudo said mysteriously:

"It's not what you think."

“We were actually deceived by the murderer from the very beginning of the case.”

Immediately afterwards, Yukiko Kudo explained to everyone the methods used by the murderer:

"The killer misled our judgment with notes and bullet casings."

"It's like placing a wrong road sign."

"Let us assume that he will attack Fujieda Mikio with a gun."

Hearing this, Inspector Megure asked in confusion:

"But wasn't Mr. Gan Xiong shot and killed by the murderer after he was threatened with a gun and raised his hands?"

"That certainly seems to be the case."

There is no doubt about this, and Yukiko Kudo nodded in agreement.

But she abruptly changed the subject, not continuing, and instead asked:

"I don't know if Inspector Megure noticed."

"The book that Mr. Gan Xiong was reading before he was killed still had a string tucked inside as a bookmark."

After listening, Inspector Megure also felt that something was wrong.

Before he could ask, Yukiko Kudo continued:

"Bookmarks are usually placed on the page you've finished reading."

"How could someone do such a thing when threatened with a gun?"

“That makes sense.” Inspector Megure nodded in agreement.

Then, Yukiko Kudo asked:

"If you were a police officer who had finished reading a book and wanted to relax, what would you do?"

Recalling a similar situation, Inspector Megure replied:

"It's probably just turning your head, stretching your shoulders, and tapping your waist."

“Or just stretch…” Takagi replied, while making a stretching motion.

But the next second, the two of them suddenly stopped.

"Could it be..." Inspector Megure thought of a possibility.

After nodding, Yukiko Kudo directly confirmed this guess:

"That's right."

"Mr. Gan Xiong raised his hands not because he was threatened with a gun."

"I just stood up and stretched."

This claim was questioned by Fujieda Motoka:

"How is that possible?"

"Then Gan Xiong collapsed, didn't he?"

"Could it be that this is also because of stretching?"

Having learned the truth from Conan, Yukiko Kudo calmly explained:

"It's not a problem with stretching, but with what happened when he stood up."

"If you stand up suddenly after sitting for a long time, you may feel dizzy or experience a temporary blackout."

"I'm sure many of you have had similar experiences, right?"

The killer's identity has been confirmed; it is not Fujieda Motoka.

It is believed that Fujieda Motoka is well aware that she did not commit this crime.

Even after hearing this explanation, Fujieda Motoka still tried to find flaws in the reasoning:

"But isn't this timing a bit too accurate?"

Conan also raised this question, and Yukiko Kudo answered it without any hesitation:

"There is a drug that can be administered at the perfect time."

"The name of that drug is isopropyl...isopropyl...isopropyl?"

She didn't recognize the drug, and its name was really hard to remember.

Now, unfortunately, she has forgotten.

Guangyou, who had only intended to watch the show casually, used his voice-changing skills to save the day:

"The drug's name is isoproterenol..."

He didn't know much about medicine, but Conan had just told him about it.

When taken appropriately, it can treat asthma.

Next, Conan used his bowtie-shaped voice changer to explain the effects of the medicine to Yukiko Kudo.

The rest were not difficult, and the reasoning went very smoothly.

The others also learned from this information how the murderer had deceived them.

After learning about this method, Eri Kisaki also learned the identity of the murderer.

That was Ueki Kusahachi, who shouted, "Master, raise your hands!"
