These words puzzled Judy.
She asked:
Why are you so sure?
After glancing at Professor Agasa's house, Shuichi Akai said calmly:
“Viperines never attack immediately after finding their prey.”
"Instead, we approach quietly and wait for the perfect opportunity."
"I guess she ran into Guangyou, found out about this place, and rushed here immediately."
"I think she probably wanted to install listening devices in this house, right?"
"This will also help prepare for future plans."
Upon hearing this, Judy made a move to get out of the car.
She said:
"Shall we go and remove the bugging device she installed?"
But Shuichi Akai stopped her.
He said:
"no need."
"If we remove the listening device, it will be equivalent to exposing our whereabouts."
"She will also change her plans because of this."
"Why don't we let her eavesdrop, and then we'll turn the tables on her and make some arrangements to counter her plans?"
At this point, Jodie understood Shuichi Akai's intention.
She withdrew her hand from the car door handle and then asked:
"Let's talk to Guangyou about it later."
“Mm.” Akai Hideyoshi nodded.
When talking about Kōyū, Shuichi Akai's lips curled up, and he said:
"Moreover, Guangyou is no ordinary person either."
"He's the predator who lays an ambush on the venomous snake."
"A predator hidden in the darkness, unnoticed by anyone."
Having worked together for so long, Jodie had gotten used to Shuichi Akai's way of speaking.
She agrees with this.
If Guangyou hadn't confessed, she wouldn't have known that Guangyou had another identity.
Moreover, their strength is considerable.
Then Judy asked:
"Should we continue waiting here?"
"We'll leave after Guangyou and the others return."
With that, Shuichi Akai started the car.
He said to Judy:
"Let's drive the car a little further away first."
"One person, one intersection."
"To avoid arousing suspicion from others."
After saying that, Shuichi Akai drove to the intersection in the opposite direction.
“Okay.” Judy started the car and drove to the intersection ahead.
While waiting for Kōyū to return at the intersection, Akai Shuichi was eavesdropping on a phone call from Shinichi Hospital.
He clearly heard Shinichi Araide's voice.
This means that the plan is progressing smoothly.
He exhaled a puff of smoke and muttered to himself:
"Next, we just have to wait for the snake to crawl into the trap on its own."
Upon seeing Professor Agasa's yellow Beetle, Shuichi Akai and Jodie restarted the car and drove away from the vicinity.
...
At this point, no one knew what had just happened.
Upon arriving at their destination, Ran and Sonoko prepared to leave first.
She first wished Ai a speedy recovery, and then instructed Kōyū to take good care of Ai.
Kōyū took this opportunity to ask for a few days off to stay and take care of Ai.
His excellent grades naturally earned Xiaolan's approval.
She will explain the situation to Sumiko Kobayashi and help Kousuke and Ai ask for leave.
Afterwards, Ran and Sonoko said goodbye to the others and turned to leave.
Ai, who was still recovering, listened to Kōyū's advice and went back to her room to rest after taking her medicine.
I wanted to make some egg porridge for Ai.
Just then, Kōyū received a text message from Judy.
After reading the text message and replying with "I understand," Guangyou deleted it.
He had anticipated this would happen on his way back.
We have already come up with countermeasures.
Coincidentally, he was also prepared to turn the tables on the plan.
There's no need to worry too much.
All he needs to do is make sure he doesn't get exposed.
Now he'll cook the porridge first.
After a busy day, I was indeed quite hungry.
And Ai didn't eat much today either.
On his way back, he ate some of the snacks he had bought at the pharmacy.
When the egg porridge was ready, Kōyū wrote a note to Conan.
He planned to tell Conan about his encounter with Vermouth that day.
He also wanted Conan to cooperate with him in putting on a show.
...
Upon seeing the contents of the note, Conan's pupils constricted sharply.
He then picked up a pen and wrote another paragraph on the note:
Does he know who you are?
"No," Guangyou answered his question by shaking his head.
Seeing this, Conan breathed a slight sigh of relief.
After confirming, he deliberately asked Guangyou, as written on the note:
"Kuangyou, did you go see Dr. Araide today?"
"No."
He seemed puzzled by Conan's question.
After answering, Kōyū asked Conan:
"What's wrong?"
"Oh, you mean the clinic of the newly appointed doctor isn't closed today either?"
"But there's no one there anyway."
I saw him at the clinic this afternoon.
"He went to help out at his classmate's clinic."
"No," Conan quickly denied. "I meant you can't go see Dr. Araide."
After saying that, Conan asked again:
"You said you ran into Dr. Araide this afternoon?"
Did he ask you any questions?
"No," Kōyū asked, sounding puzzled. "Why do you ask that?"
"It's nothing."
Without explaining the reason to Kyou, Conan simply said:
"Anyway, you shouldn't bother Dr. Araide."
