Chapter 143 The Radiance of Life

Nanako tried to tell him the truth about the situation, but every time she tried, Takahara Zen would have an attack and would pick up a knife or something to destroy things in the house. Moreover, every time he woke up, he would forget what had happened before and what she had told him. Whenever this happened, Nanako would run to the art studio to hide.

The studio was personally arranged by Takahara Zen. Takahara Zen never entered the studio without permission, even when she was ill. She would record the current situation every now and then.

Upon seeing this, Kōyū suddenly realized: "No wonder I could find a bottle of vitamin C-like pills in every room. It seems Nanako was secretly treating him."

"Nanako seems unwilling to send Takahara Zen to a mental hospital. She wants to change Takahara Zen herself, and the effect seems to be okay."

In his diary, Kōyū can see that Nanako had a total of three episodes after trying to treat Takahara Zen. The first episode lasted for an hour, the second lasted for half an hour, and the third lasted only fifteen minutes.

It clearly states that Nanako experienced her fourth episode recently, but this time it happened suddenly. Mitsuhiro can see that Nanako was taking notes at the time, which read, "I was preparing for my fourth... Why is he suddenly having an episode now...?"

The writing stopped there. According to Guangyou's speculation, perhaps Nanako quickly jotted down a few words after hearing the commotion downstairs, then hid them and went into the art studio. Considering the signs of damage to the door earlier, Guangyou had a very bad feeling: "Could it have failed this time?"

He suspected that Takahara Zen's illness this time was even more insane. He threw aside the rules he had previously followed and rushed into the art studio, hurting Nanako.

Just then, a breeze blew past the window, and in the breeze, Kōyū caught a faint smell of chocolate: "Chocolate Universe?"

Following the scent, Kōyū arrived at the yard, but Uncle Mori was nowhere to be seen.

Another gust of wind blew, and besides the fragrance of flowers, Guangyou also caught a faint stench. His eyes widened instantly: "No way?"

At this moment, Uncle Mori returned with Zen Kogen and some police officers.

Uncle Mori said, "I dug up a bloodstained shovel in your yard. The blood on it has been tested and should belong to your girlfriend, Nanako Nanakawa. But I only found your fingerprints on it. Can you explain that?"

"How could I! I love Nanako so much! How could I possibly hurt her!"

Wearing handcuffs, Takahara Zen looked shocked and tried to explain to Uncle Mori. His expression was genuine; if he were lying, he would be an Oscar-worthy actor.

Kōyū handed the diary he had found to Uncle Mōri: "Uncle, I just found this in Mr. Kōgen's bedroom."

"You brat, didn't we agree not to mess around..." As he looked at him, Uncle Mori's expression changed, becoming unusually serious. "You did a very good job messing around. Mitsuyu, you did an excellent job on this case."

After saying that, Uncle Mori picked up the notebook and pointed it at Zen Kōgen: "Take a look for yourself!"

After glancing at it a few times, Gao Yuanchan's face turned deathly pale, his eyes filled with disbelief: "How is this possible!"

Gaoyuan Zen kept repeating the word "impossible".

Suddenly, Gao Yuanchan's eyes turned blood red, the muscles on his face trembled slightly, and he raised his head and roared, "Impossible!"

For a moment, even Uncle Mori, who was closest to him, was startled. However, he quickly recovered and saw that Takahara Zen had broken free from the restraints of the police officers behind him and rushed towards Kōyū. Uncle Mori reacted quickly and grabbed Takahara Zen's arm to throw him to the back.

Gao Yuanchan lay on the ground, his eyes still bloodshot, muttering, "Impossible, impossible..."

Uncle Mori narrowed his eyes slightly: "He has a mental illness, please keep an eye on him."

Subsequently, under Uncle Mori's instructions, the police officers moved the flowers away. After digging down about three meters, they discovered a female corpse, which was still emitting a faint stench.

The police officers quickly moved the female body upstairs, and the forensic doctor also came forward to begin his work.

Looking at Nanako lying on the ground, her face filled with resentment, this 1.8-meter-tall man couldn't stop the tears from streaming down his face: "Nanako."

His eyes were glazed over, but then he hardened his resolve, stomped hard on the officer who was holding him, and used the last of his strength to break free from another officer. Then, in front of everyone, he slammed into the wall.

The head was like an egg against a stone; the egg shattered...

Blood streamed down Gaoyuan Chan's head as he lay on the ground, but his relieved expression made everyone sigh with relief.

Guangyou was also shocked. He never expected that Gaoyuan Chan could be so ruthless. He then sighed, "Love makes people willing to die for each other."

Kōyū truly felt the depth of their bond, which made him understand why Nanako's face showed only resentment and no regret before her death. She was resentful that she hadn't restored Takahara Zen to normal, she was resentful that she hadn't been able to continue the Takahara family line, she was truly resentful...

Everyone was shocked, and the scene fell silent. It took them a while to react before they began to clean up the mess.

With a heavy heart, Kōyū returned to Professor Agasa's house. After he told Ai about the case, Ai couldn't help but sigh at the feelings between the two and felt very sorry for the story that happened between this seemingly perfect couple.
