After shopping, Ran's mood improved considerably, and she said with a smile, "Detective Conan is really good too!"
Ran's sudden praise made Conan blush a little, and seeing this, Eri and Ran both laughed.
Eri Kisaki wasn't one to dawdle. Since it looked good, she decided to pay the bill. Her smooth card-swiping payment process was exceptionally cool. After paying, even the two kings were a little hungry, so they didn't hesitate and went straight into a restaurant on the roadside.
After lunch, we took a stroll around in the afternoon and enjoyed a very sumptuous dinner in Ginza before heading back to the office.
...
In a completely dark room, a man opened his eyes and found himself in complete darkness. He tried to move his body but found himself locked to a chair. He didn't call out because he knew it was useless.
Suddenly, a snapping sound came from inside the room, followed by a light illuminating the room. The sudden light stung his eyes, and it took him a while to recover.
He slowly opened his eyes, a hint of panic in them, but his expression remained calm: "Who are you? What are you doing here?"
In front of him stood a short man wearing a dark red robe with a mask on his face. The robe was embroidered with a shark pattern. Who else could it be but Guangyou?
Kōyū grabbed the man in front of him early in the morning. He had no patience to let him achieve his goal. This time it was related to Ran, and Kōyū wouldn't allow himself to use Ran as a gamble. Over time, Ran had always taken care of him like an older sister. Whether it was something delicious or fun, Ran would always remember Kōyū and Conan.
Kōyū lowered his masked head slightly, and a deep male voice came from beneath the mask: "Because you crossed my line, Mr. Kazato Kyōsuke!"
The man locked to the chair was none other than Kyosuke Kazato, Shiratori's psychologist. He was actually a little dazed. After his buttocks were attacked by Kouyu yesterday, he stayed at home to rest. After a day of rest, he was almost recovered. He got up early this morning intending to go to the hospital to work and look for an opportunity to continue attacking Ran. However, while washing up, everything went black, and when he woke up, he was locked here.
Kyosuke Kazato's face seemed to be trying to please him: "Sir, I don't know you. What did I do to offend you? Tell me, I will definitely change. Can you let me go?"
Even if he dared to kill, it doesn't prove he wasn't afraid of death. Otherwise, he wouldn't have killed three police officers—Nara Sawaji, Shiba Ichiro, and Miwako—to delay the police investigation.
Fortunately, thanks to emergency treatment and her good fortune, Miwako did not die. However, although she has woken up from her gunshot wound, she is still lying in bed.
Guangyou pulled a chair over and sat down, his tone unreadable, and said calmly, "You shouldn't have attacked an innocent girl and those three police officers."
He had made himself perfectly clear, and Kazato Kyosuke wasn't stupid; he instantly understood why: "But if I don't kill them, I'll be arrested! I think I did the right thing by killing Jinno Yasushi! He ruined my future and my dreams!"
“I understand why you went to kill Nino, but I will remain neutral about your actions. However, you must not touch those three police officers or that innocent girl.” Kōyū’s tone finally changed slightly, his words filled with murderous intent. “The police officers were just doing their job. Regardless of whether Nino ruined your future, the officers did nothing wrong, the girl did nothing wrong, the wrong thing is your actions.”
Seeing that Kyosuke Kazato still wanted to argue, Mitsuyu continued, "If you had only killed Yasushi Nino, the court would have considered the circumstances and nature of your case and might not have sentenced you to death. But since you did something to silence him, you can't escape the death penalty no matter what."
"But I don't regret it!" Kazato Kyosuke was already somewhat deranged, and Mitsuyu nodded in agreement. After all, Kazato Kyosuke was a psychiatrist, and it was difficult for him to remain completely unaffected when dealing with many patients who might have psychological issues. People who seem fine on the surface might become incredibly dangerous when they encounter a certain point.
Guangyou had anticipated the current situation, and a smile appeared under his mask: "I guessed it, so I'll give you a deluxe package."
"What... a deluxe package?" Although Kyosuke Kazato didn't understand what Kouyu was talking about, his subconscious told him that it was definitely not a good thing.
After saying that, Kōyū took a few steps back, and the lights went out as he did so, leaving only Kyōsuke Kazato locked to a chair in the silent room.
Quiet! That was the only thought in Kazato Kyosuke's mind. For the first few minutes, he remained calm, telling himself that he was just a little dark-skinned and it was no big deal. It was as if Mitsuhiro could read his mind. Just as he was thinking this, a rustling sound came from inside the room.
The sound wasn't loud, but it was very clear in the empty room. At first, it didn't seem like anything, but after listening to it for a while, Kyosuke Kazato's perception of the sound began to become distorted. In his mind, the sound was like a mouse crawling by, or like someone scratching the wall with their fingernails, and a sense of fear inevitably arose in his heart.
But he was, after all, a psychologist, and he knew that these were all psychological effects on him. Even though there was some panic in his eyes, his mind remained calm.
Suddenly, the sound stopped. He breathed a sigh of relief and took a deep breath to calm his panicked heart. However, Kōyū didn't give him much time to catch his breath. He had already quietly come up behind Kazato Kyōsuke without making a sound. Then, Kōyū forcefully covered his face with a wet cloth.
Kyosuke Kazato was startled, and then everything went dark. He instinctively tried to resist, but the straps behind his head prevented him from getting off. Then came the smell of a wet towel. The wet towel covering his face made him very uncomfortable. Air was clearly a luxury for him. Before long, his covered face was already turning red.
Of course, Kōyū wouldn't stop there. He grabbed a bucket of water and splashed it directly onto Kyōsuke Kazato's face. The feeling was extremely uncomfortable, and Kyōsuke Kazato couldn't breathe at all.
About ten seconds later, Kōyū removed the cloth covering Kyōsuke Kazato's head and opened the window. Kyōsuke Kazato's face was flushed, his eyes were bloodshot, and his eyeballs were filled with blood vessels.
After being untied, Kyosuke Kazato gasped for breath for almost five seconds. Once he felt a little better, he looked up, his face honestly a little frightening. His fierce expression made Kōyū pat his chest: "I'm so scared! Hit me if you want!"
Kōyū's words left Kazato Kyōsuke speechless for a moment. He swore he wanted to stand up, take off the mask of the masked man in front of him, and smash his head in, but as it turned out, he couldn't.
