After entering the tunnel, the two robbers took off their ski suits and, holding guns, directed Akai and his companion to change into ski suits, their intentions clear.
These two wanted Akai and Shin to come out and take their place as robbers. They were both completely disguised before, so who could be sure what they really looked like?
That's why they deliberately waited until they entered the tunnel before ordering the driver to slow down, in order to gain more time.
There were no lights in the tunnel, so the two could minimize the risk of revealing their appearance.
Sure enough, the two robbers said bluntly, "You two will have to take our place for a while. We'll pretend to be passengers and get off the bus first. Don't worry, the passengers will help you get away with it later."
Another robber pointed at the driver: "Whether we two brothers succeed or not depends on you, driver."
"After we get out of the car, you continue driving forward to distract us. However, to ensure our safety, we will take one hostage with us."
After saying that, he looked around the carriage, seemingly very seriously looking for a hostage. Suddenly his eyes lit up and he looked at the girl with chewing gum in the back: "You're the one, the one chewing gum. Come to the front with me. I've put up with you all the way here. Don't blame anyone but yourself for chewing gum and being too noisy."
The girl with chewing gum who was called looked panicked, but she was actually as calm as a rock. Guangyou could only sigh that their acting skills were really good.
Seeing all this, Guangyou could only give a faint sneer. The robber's words might fool the panicked children and ordinary people in the car, but if there was really nothing wrong, what was the purpose of the bag in the middle?
Is it meant to be left behind as compensation for the passengers?
The compensation package will include a bomb?
"Isn't it just about silencing them so they can perfectly pretend to be passengers? What a hassle..." Guangyou said with disdain.
After seeing the first ray of light shining into the tunnel, Conan began his performance.
Conan seemed to have figured out the robbers' intentions, and directly cooperated with the professor by raising the sled bag: "You're all going to be blown up by this bomb anyway, otherwise why would you let us see your faces?"
There was a strange string of words written on the sled bag, but the driver could understand it. The words could only be seen clearly in the rearview mirror. They were four letters and one word: "STOP".
The driver understood that the word meant for him to stop. After hesitating for a moment and hearing Conan's stern urging, he slammed on the brakes.
Kōyū caught Ai in time, and Ai, who bumped into Kōyū's arms, didn't feel much pain, while he, due to inertia, slammed hard into the seat in front of him.
After the car stopped, Guangyou rubbed his arm and gasped, "Wow, this is pretty good quality."
"Are you alright?" Ai looked up, her face pale but her voice filled with concern.
Guangyou shook his head: "It's nothing."
Guangyou and his companion were alright, but the rest of the passengers either fell to the ground or clung to whatever they could find due to inertia.
If someone with something to hold is like this, imagine what it's like for a robber who has nothing. The robber fell flat on his face again, and one of the robbers, A, even knocked out one of his white front teeth.
He stood up and, speaking with a lisp, said, "This guy is a devil, isn't he!"
Just as he was about to draw his gun, Conan's tranquilizer dart arrived.
When the car braked, Conan was naturally prepared. As soon as the car stopped and he came to his senses, he rushed straight at the robber. When he saw the robber reach for his gun, he raised his hand and gave him a tranquilizer dart.
"She doesn't act like a child at all..."
The robber, blinded by the hit, staggered a couple of times and collapsed to the ground.
"Shin-san! Grab that woman's hands quickly! The watch on her wrist is a bomb detonator!" Conan shouted to Shin-san, who was standing next to the woman, as one of the robbers had already fallen.
Meanwhile, another robber stood up and pointed a gun at Conan.
At that moment, Judy moved, delivering a knee strike straight to the man's stomach. The robber, in pain, clutched his stomach, his eyes wide like light bulbs. Then, Judy delivered an elbow strike to the man's spine.
The robber fell to the ground, raised his gun, aimed at Judy, and pulled the trigger several times, but the bullets did not shoot out like he did.
Looking at the gun in his hand, the robber was puzzled: "What's going on?!"
"The safety of the Togarev rifle will automatically lock when you gently lift it up to the middle. You should learn and remember this basic knowledge, understand?" Judy instructed calmly.
"Who...who are you? Who exactly are you?" The robber swallowed hard, looking at Judy sitting on him. He didn't care about her at the moment, let alone holding those two guns. One of them was locked, and the other was completely useless. At this moment, he only wanted to know who he had lost to.
“Shh, this is a big secret,” Judy said seriously. “Secrets make women more feminine.”
Suddenly, she excitedly shouted, as if she had lost her mind, "Have you surrendered?"
The girl with chewing gum, who was being held captive by Shinichi, glanced at her watch and suddenly yelled, "Let me escape! I have to escape quickly! That emergency braking hit my watch, and the bomb's timer has started! There's only one minute left before it explodes!"
No one cared about continuing the argument, and they quickly ran off the bus in an orderly fashion.
"Conan?" Miwako, who was waiting by the car door, looked at the person who rushed out and asked with some confusion, "What's wrong?"
"The bomb the culprit brought is about to explode!" Conan said to Miwako as he ran.
Upon hearing this, the police officer forced himself to calm his inner panic. Miwako instructed the others, "I'll take charge of organizing the vehicles on the other side of the tunnel. Chiba, you take charge of the other side. The rest of you are responsible for evacuating the crowd!"
"Perhaps this is the best ending. I will definitely run into her in the future. If she finds out that all the people around me have to leave, I will know that there is no place for me in this world when I escaped from the organization."
Ai lowered her head, wrapped her red coat tighter, and said softly, "Home? It seems I'll never be able to have a proper home in this lifetime."
"It was so hard to even have a sliver of hope, why did it have to take me so long to meet him..."
As she thought about it, her eyes reddened slightly, but she didn't shed tears. Instead, a smile appeared on her lips. Images and figures flashed through her mind, and her eyes became hazy.
Kind parents, a gentle and loving older sister, the innocent Mitsuhiko, Genta, and Ayumi, the kind-hearted Ran, the narcissistic Uncle Mori, the childish Professor Agasa, the arrogant Conan, and... and that idiot...
