Two seconds later, Kwang-woo finally surfaced. Once out of the water and free from the current, he took several deep breaths to replenish the air in his lungs.
After getting ashore, putting on his clothes, and taking his gear, Guangyou walked thoughtfully around the coastline for a while.
His eyes darted around restlessly, then suddenly he stopped, staring intently at the grove of trees.
With a puzzled look, Guangyou walked into the woods. Looking at a mark on the ground, his doubts vanished.
These marks were definitely left by someone when they were dragging a large object, such as a boat.
"That anchor probably came with the ship. If it's hidden underwater, that would be quite unexpected."
Guangyou pinched his chin and continued walking along the trail.
After walking a short distance, Guangyou saw the boat covered by a cloth.
Lifting the cloth covering the boat, Guangyou saw something inside that looked like a picture frame, and a hint of disappointment flashed in his eyes.
Kōyū had no interest in the thing inside the boat. He covered it with a cloth and prepared to go back to meet up with Kaito.
"Something's happened. The ship that left has returned."
When they were halfway there, Kaito's voice came through the walkie-talkie.
Kōyū quickened his pace and jogged to the spot where Kaito was lying in ambush.
I picked up my binoculars and looked at the small dock. Five people got off the boat. They were either tall or thin, but the only thing they had in common was that they all had a smile on their faces.
He was wearing a vest and had a cigarette in his mouth.
Looking at them, Guangyou felt they didn't seem like a bandit gang, but rather...
A gang of thugs?
