Chapter 353 The Storm Will Eventually Subside (shuhaige.net)

When Guangyou and Xiaolan returned to the competition venue, there were still two hours until the semi-finals.

Conan and his friends are also making their final warm-up preparations for the semi-finals.

"Lan, I was so worried about you."

The moment Sonoko saw Ran, she ran over, hugged Ran tightly, and sobbed on Ran's shoulder.

She believes it was her fault; if she hadn't been curious and picked up that phone, this whole thing probably wouldn't have happened.

Ran smiled and patted Sonoko on the shoulder: "It's all alright now."

When Ayumi and the others saw Ran arrive, they all ran over and surrounded her, asking her all sorts of questions.

Uncle Mori, in particular, carefully observed Xiao Lanzi, and only after confirming that Xiao Lanzi was alright did he truly breathe a sigh of relief.

"Thank you so much this time."

Conan thanked Mitsuyu in a very serious tone.

Guangyou nodded, waved his hand, and said, "It's nothing, it's what I should do."

Then Kōyū turned to look at Ai, and Ai nodded faintly.

Upon seeing this, Kōyū knew that Ai had already taken care of things.

During the break, Conan asked Mitsuyoshi about the situation, as he had also participated in the operation.

Kōyū told Conan everything he knew about the matter without reservation.

After listening, Conan gritted his teeth and said, "How can someone like this become a councilor? I really don't know what the people here are thinking."

Even Conan had heard a little about Kenzo Narumi's deeds, but he didn't know that Kenzo Narumi would do such a beastly thing.

Guangyou looked around and whispered, "Where's that beast?"

"he?"

Conan chuckled and said, "He's probably still dreaming. He probably won't wake up until after the game this afternoon."

...

The semi-finals have begun.

The Junior Detective Team versus the Kumamoto Soul Team.

The moment he saw the name, Kwang-yu burst out laughing.

The two teams were evenly matched, and both sides were starting to tire. Suddenly, a ball flew straight at Ayumi's face. Startled, Ayumi put her tennis racket in front of her and bounced the ball back, deciding the game.

"Is this the second time Ayumi has had this kind of luck today?"

Conan shook his head. Sometimes you have to admit that luck is also a part of ability.

This is the second time this has happened today.

Ayumi said excitedly, "Mom said that girls who smile a lot are lucky, and that's really true."

The finals are scheduled for tomorrow, and the next competition will be the finals for the adult group.

Sitting in the audience, Kōyū saw Tachikawa Masato, who was about to assassinate Narumi Kenzō, surrounded by what seemed to be invisible flames.

This fighting spirit left his opponents somewhat bewildered.

Masato Tachikawa put all his strength into every shot, and finally, he won the game.

To his surprise, the award was not presented by Cheng Zengjian.

Masato Tachikawa reached out and took the trophy, asking curiously, "Excuse me, where is Mr. Chengmao now? Isn't he supposed to be presenting the award?"

The person who presented the award on behalf of Cheng Zeng shook his head: "Mr. Cheng Zeng has disappeared. We can't find him no matter how hard we look."

Masato Tachikawa gritted his teeth and nodded reluctantly. After being casually photographed by the media for a few minutes, he left the scene.

...

The match was over, and the group prepared to go back to the hotel to rest for a while before going out for dinner.

Just as she got up, Xiaolan's phone rang.

"Excuse me, are you Ms. Ran Mouri?"

The voice on the other end of the phone was unfamiliar, and Xiaolan didn't know who it was. Out of politeness, she still said, "Yes, may I ask who you are?"

"I am Inspector Shirogane from Aso City. There has been some progress in the case you just reported. Would it be convenient for you to come over now?"

After hearing this, Xiaolan looked up at Uncle Mori, who nodded after a short while.

He'd like to see who kidnapped his daughter.

So, the group's itinerary changed from returning to the hotel to going to Aso City.

After a nearly one-hour drive, the group arrived at the Metropolitan Police Department.

The police inspector was already waiting at the entrance of the Metropolitan Police Department. He greeted Ran and her group with a smile.

As he approached, he looked Uncle Mori up and down and asked in confusion, "Are you Kogoro Mori?"

Uncle Mori paused for a moment, then nodded blankly.

Shirogaki said with a smile, "Mr. Mori is indeed extraordinary. It's better to see him in person than to have heard so much about him."

Uncle Mori chuckled twice, but quickly got to the point: "What about the robber? And how's the progress?"

"They're in the interrogation room. I'll take you there."

Cheng Yuan smiled and led the way.

The Metropolitan Police Department here is much smaller than the one where Inspector Megure works.

As I walked down the corridor, several people gave Uncle Mori unfriendly looks.

Shirogaki quickly explained, "Mr. Mori, please don't mind them. They just don't like detectives."

If he hadn't said anything, Uncle Mori wouldn't have seen it, so he just casually responded with a couple of "yes".

"The two kidnappers are inside."

Shirogaki opened the door to the interrogation room, making way for Uncle Mori to walk through.

After Uncle Mori entered the interrogation room, he seemed like a completely different person.

I was about to take out a cigarette from my pocket, but after a moment's hesitation, I gave up on the idea.

"Why did you kidnap my daughter? She is innocent."

Uncle Mori's expression was calm, showing no sign of anger, but his tone carried an air of unyielding authority.
