Chapter 368 The Murderer Caught at the Victim's Villa

The three of them went straight up the stairs to Ai's room.

Even when going out to play, Ai didn't forget to bring her notebook, which made things convenient for the others.

After typing a long URL into the address bar, Guangyou pressed Enter, and the browser instantly redirected to a video page.

The text message also indicated the time; it was more than a month ago that Iwata Katsumi ordered the diamond ring.

From the surveillance footage, Guangyou could clearly see a man who was about 1.8 meters tall and had a side-swept fringe walk into the store.

The surveillance footage wasn't very clear, but that didn't stop Guangyou from recognizing that he was quite handsome, especially compared to the victim.

This also made Guangyou realize why the two of them were doing this kind of thing behind the victim's back.

It seems that Tomomi Mitsui is feeling a bit lonely. According to a survey, more than 30% of girls in Japan feel a sense of loneliness, whether they are married or in a relationship.

"The TV series didn't lie to me."

A strange smile appeared on Guangyou's face. He shook his head to banish the thought from his mind and turned back to watch the surveillance footage.

There wasn't much else to see. He chose his favorite style, filled in some relevant information, paid, and left the jewelry store.

...

Inside the Yamanashi Prefectural Police Station, Haruka Yoju sat in a chair, his slightly chubby hands extending two fingers to type on the keyboard.

He was one of the few frontline officers in the police station who used a computer, thanks in large part to his son, an IT engineer, who constantly brainwashed him about how society was about to enter the Internet age.

After learning the basic operations of the internet for a while, Chun Shangyang also discovered the magic of the internet.

He posted pictures of the evidence on a jewelry forum.

This is Japan's largest jewelry forum, where many merchants promote their shops.

Spring poplar tree reached out and picked up a cup of coffee from the table, taking a small sip.

There was hardly any coffee left in the cup; it was only enough for a couple of small sips at most.

The dark circles under his eyes were quite deep; he hadn't slept last night, only relying on coffee to stay awake.

His deep thought last night made him realize that this case might start with the ring, and only the ring could be investigated in depth.

However, it was already so late and the jewelry store was closed, so he came to this forum to post a message and also asked some police officers to investigate information about the ring.

He's over fifty this year, and his energy isn't as vigorous as that of a young man. After a night of meditation, even with coffee, his upper eyelids are almost touching his lower eyelids.

Didi

This was the notification sound from his email. Hearing this, he forced himself to reach out and drink the rest of his coffee in one gulp.

The bitter taste in his mouth lifted his spirits somewhat.

He opened the email, and upon seeing the title, his eyes widened instantly, and his hands moved faster.

The email wasn't long; he read it all in less than a minute, a glint of shrewdness flashing in his eyes.

Looking at the link below, he hesitated for a moment, but finally clicked on it.

"really..."

...

Guangyou stretched and got up to go downstairs.

Conan turned his head and asked, "All done?"

Guangyou nodded.

Things progressed fairly smoothly, and Conan finally felt relieved.

At that moment, the door opened, and Xiaolan and Yuanzi walked in.

Ran comforted Sonoko, who was standing beside her with a worried look on her face, saying, "Sonoko, don't worry, I think someone must have framed you this time."

"I think so. I still don't believe my family's business would make such a basic mistake."

Sonoko nodded, but the worry on her face remained.

The two of them had just gone out for a walk, a morning stroll. The scenery was lovely, the weather was perfect, and their moods were as bright as the weather.

But most of the people I met on the street were discussing what happened yesterday.

All the people I met were guys, and they were complaining that the weather was so nice today, and taking the girls to the water park at the resort would have been a great choice, but after what happened yesterday, the girls stopped coming out and just stayed in their villas watching TV.

“Sonoko-neechan, I also heard from a police inspector that this wasn’t an accident.” Kōsuke turned his head and said to Sonoko, “They said they’ll catch the culprit soon.”

Sonoko had no doubts, and her brows finally relaxed: "I knew such a basic mistake couldn't possibly happen in our Suzuki Group's businesses."

After skipping that topic, the group started playing cards in the living room.

It wasn't until lunchtime that the group left the villa to head to the resort for lunch.

As soon as I arrived at the entrance of the resort, I saw several plainclothes police officers quietly walking towards Section B.

Guangyou was able to recognize these plainclothes officers because Haruhiko was nearby giving them some instructions.

Guangyou quickly calculated and came up with something he found very interesting: the murderer did not flee after killing the person, but instead took over the villa and played games with the victim's girlfriend.

The next action of Haruhiko confirmed Guangyou's guess. He stretched out his hand and waved towards Area B, and the plainclothes officer also walked slowly towards Area B as if he were a tourist.

Guangyou wasn't in the mood to watch the arrests; he'd rather eat more than watch the spectacle.

Only Conan would use the excuse of leaving something at the villa to sneak up behind.
