"Alright, I should go take a shower now."
Ai slowly got up, greeted Kousuke, and then took small steps to Akemi's room to get a change of clothes.
Guangyou also turned his attention to the TV. When he saw that the program was in commercial break, he picked up the remote and changed the channel.
After trying several different channels, Guangyou found they were either full of commercials or not very good, so he decided to give up on watching TV.
Aside from not being able to go out often, Mingmei's life was quite comfortable. There was a rocking chair by the window and a small bookshelf in the corner.
"It seems that Mingmei is still an artsy young woman, but her temperament is quite suitable for it."
Guangyou flipped through the books on the bookshelf, which mostly contained literary works; technical books were relatively rare.
Guangyou randomly picked a book from the bookshelf and lay down on the sofa to read it.
Literary books may not be as funny as comics, but they are quite good after reading them for a while. The writing is excellent and the emotional descriptions are very delicate.
However, Guangyou only occasionally flips through these books when he's bored.
He didn't know how much time had passed when he saw a pretty face in his line of sight. He immediately sat up and patted the spot next to the sofa: "Sit down."
When Kōyū sat up, he realized that Ai's clothes were a bit out of place for him. It wasn't that they were bad, but they didn't match her previous character: a pink cartoon pajama set with lace trim on the cuffs and collar.
Kōyū's gaze made Ai blush slightly. She didn't say anything, but inwardly she was complaining that the clothes Akemi had prepared for her were too girly.
It's not that she dislikes it, it's just that she rarely sees Guangyou in this form.
"It looks great, I think it suits you very well."
Kōyū stroked his chin and admired Ai from head to toe. This girlish Ai had some things in common with girls her age, which also proved that Ai's mindset was changing for the better.
After Ai sat down, Kōyū didn't make a conscious effort, but he casually caught a whiff of a delicate fragrance. He knew from the slightest thing that the fragrance was coming from Ai.
There's a saying that "you can tell a woman by her scent," which sounds a bit perverted at first. Why do you have to go up to someone and smell their fragrance?
However, this statement is not entirely wrong in some respects; it can be helpful in judging the personality of a strange woman.
Kōyū had already "smelled" some of Ai's personality traits, but he already knew these traits, so his judgments might be somewhat off due to preconceived notions.
For a time, he was quite envious of people who possessed this skill—able to discern a person's personality and interests simply by smelling them, then tailor their approach accordingly, and ultimately...
Ai looked at Kousuke, waved her hand in front of his eyes, and called out, "Snap out of it! What are you thinking about? It sounds like you're thinking about something really filthy."
Guangyou shook his head and quickly explained, "No, how could that be? How could such an upright young man like me be so despicable?"
"I wouldn't believe you." Ai pouted, not believing Kousuke's explanation, but she didn't intend to pursue the matter further. Instead, she asked, "Do you have something to give me?"
When Ai mentioned it, Kōyū remembered that he still had something to give Ai, slapped his thigh, and nodded: "I do have something."
Kōyū stood up and handed the gift bag that was on the other side to Ai with both hands, smiling as he said, "It's for you. It's not very valuable, but the sentiment is genuine."
Ai reached out and took the gift bag, hugging it to her arms. She looked up expectantly and asked, "Is it really real?"
Guangyou was a little confused. He scratched behind his ear and nodded: "Yeah, otherwise, would I just buy it for fun?"
After hearing the confirmation, Ai nodded, but didn't look up, so Kousuke couldn't see her expression.
Logically speaking, it's just a very ordinary little gift, so why is Ai's reaction so unusual?
Could the bracelet be broken?
Or is there something wrong with the gift the boss gave us?
Ai patted the seat next to the sofa, gesturing for Kousuke to sit down.
Guangyou pointed to the gift bag still being held in his arms and asked, "Aren't you going to open it and take a look?"
Ai put the gift bag aside and explained, "You can open it anytime, there's no rush."
"Fine, it's your gift anyway."
Kōyū nodded without saying anything, then suddenly raised his eyebrows and looked at Ai with a playful expression.
Ai felt a little uneasy under his gaze, shrank back, and asked, "What are you looking at?"
Kwang-yu rubbed his chin and said, "It's nothing, it's just related to something very important that I'm thinking about right now."
Ai asked, "What is it?"
Guangyou glanced at the puzzled girl in front of him and smiled slyly: "When are you going to take your tip?"
The person closest to here is still in her own room, probably surfing the internet and listening to music on her computer right now. Guangyou can even faintly hear the English songs coming from next door.
Upon closer listening, it seemed to be a familiar classic old song; he could hum the tune, but he had forgotten the specific title.
There was no one around, except for the music and the TV presenter talking non-stop.
To create a warm and inviting atmosphere throughout the apartment, the lighting often uses a slightly warm tone. However, in this case, the lighting creates a somewhat enchanting ambiance.
A faint blush rose to Xiao Ai's cheeks, and she could clearly feel the vital organ in her chest pounding faster.
This sentence was unexpected for her. Originally, she wanted to chat with Guangyou and have a heart-to-heart talk so that she could better enter Guangyou's world.
She still kept Mingmei's words in mind. She felt that Mingmei's analysis made a lot of sense, so she wanted to take this opportunity to try it out. But she didn't expect Guangyou to say these words.
Meanwhile, Guangyou's mind was in turmoil, and for some reason, his mouth uttered those words uncontrollably.
Now that he's in a bind, is he just going to pack up and go to sleep?
Although it might be a good idea, since he brought it up, I really want to give it a try.
At this moment, all the distracting thoughts in his mind had been completely forgotten, and the pent-up frustration that had been hidden in the deepest corner of his heart seemed to have become smaller and hidden even more deeply.
Xiao Ai suppressed her shyness, her eyes darting around, her slender, snow-white hands tucking a few strands of hair behind her ear: "I..."
"Shhh."
Kōyū held up a finger to his lips, signaling Ai to be quiet.
She hesitated for a moment, her long, curled eyelashes fluttering gently, and then she slowly closed her beautiful eyes.
Guangyou wasn't stupid. Although he didn't have much experience in this area, he had read a lot of novels, which didn't stop him from understanding what the other party meant.
He closed his eyes, waiting for the moment of contact to arrive.
"Bang"
