Conan suddenly realized what was going on. He simply said something and hurriedly ran back to Tokyo Tower. When he arrived, he saw that, sure enough, the answer was the neon lights.
Kwangyu knew the plot was on track and it was time to make plans. So Kwangyu quietly slipped away to the hiding place of the maple leaf coins.
After Kōyū finally finished setting up the trap, Conan and his friends arrived at the riverbank. Through the window, Kōyū could vaguely see several small black dots on the riverbank, including Conan and his friends, as well as three other people behind them.
Seeing Conan and his friends run towards the house, Kōyū's signature smile appeared on his lips.
As Kōyū retreated, he gradually disappeared until he was completely hidden in the darkness...
Just after Conan found the treasure, the three men in black behind him picked up the gold coins that had fallen to the ground.
Unsurprisingly, four children were tied up and left aside after a direct confrontation with adults.
The three men in black were also searching, and they still hadn't found it. They had to ask Conan, Ayumi, Mitsuhiko, and Genta where they were crying. At that moment, the Japanese man in black picked up a gun and pointed it at Conan: "Kid, hurry up and tell me where the gold coins are, or else, hehe."
Just then, Guangyou's voice reached everyone's ears: "Those three who couldn't even decipher the code, haven't you heard the famous saying that villains die from talking too much?"
Upon hearing this, everyone reacted differently. Ayumi and her group, along with Conan, recognized the voice as belonging to Kousuke and seemed to relax a bit. The three men in black, however, were different, their expressions tense: "Who is it? Come out right now, or I'll kill these brats!"
As Guangyou spoke, he emerged from the darkness: "Fine, I'm out."
The disdain in those words infuriated the three men in black.
Their anger intensified when they saw it was a child, because they were actually frightened by a child!
Before the three could react, Guangyou pulled a switch he had set up next to them. The rope loops under their feet tightened, causing them to stagger and their pistols to slip from their hands.
Kōyū seized the opportunity and delivered a devastating kick that sent a chill down Conan's spine.
Following the same method, the remaining two were also given a fatal kick, leaving them lying on the ground, their bodies still twitching.
After the bad guys were dealt with, Conan and the others ran to a nearby police station and explained the situation to the police.
The police arrived shortly afterward and successfully arrested the three children, praising them in return.
When the group returned to the office, Xiaolan, upon learning what had happened, showered them with praise.
Mitsuhiko and Genta were vying for credit, which Ayumi couldn't stand. She told Ran that it was all Conan's doing, and then gave him a kiss.
Genta Mitsuhiko was filled with rage, but at the same time, he also became a jealous person.
Seeing this, Ran teased, "Conan, you've got a cute little girlfriend now~"
Knowing the truth, Conan blushed as he explained, glancing at Kōyū, a renewed suspicion about him resurfacing in his mind...
Before going to sleep, Conan sat on his bed and seriously asked Kōyū, who was changing his pajamas, "Who are you? What are you trying to do by moving into Ran's house?!" Kōyū didn't pause for a moment and said, "Well~ Conan-kun, I'm Kōyū~"
"Then how do you know so much?"
“I was abandoned when I was little. Everyone around me disliked me and wouldn’t play with me. Apart from a few people in the orphanage who were willing to talk to me, there was no one else. After the orphanage was disbanded and I recovered from my illness, I secretly went to the bookstore to read books. Apart from that older sister, books are my friends. I read all kinds of books, so I know a lot of things.” Guangyou’s eyes were slightly red, but his smile did not fade.
Conan felt a pang of pain in his heart, so he didn't press the matter further. He apologized and went to bed.
He didn't see that Guangyou's smile had changed from innocent to a triumphant one.
But this smile came and went quickly, followed by a pang of heartache and sorrow, and a single tear rolled down her slightly reddened eyes...
