Chapter 404 Accompanying You to Explore the World

It's getting dark...

The stars climbed into the night sky and twinkled silently, while distant neon lights illuminated a small patch of the night sky.

Guangyou sat on a swing in the park, the back-and-forth swing bringing a gentle night breeze that felt extremely comfortable on his face.

Sitting on the other swing was Ai. She swung very slowly, and often had to push off the ground with her feet to get back on the swing.

Ai looked up at the night sky and said, "The night sky over Mount Fuji was so beautiful back then."

"It's beautiful when you're away from the city."

Kōyū's smile remained bright as he said to Ai beside him, "Let's go climb it again sometime, just the two of us."

Ai's beautiful, pale red lips curved into a smile: "Okay, you have to keep your word."

"Definitely, we'll go when there are few or no people around."

Guangyou doesn't want to go there to watch the sunrise amidst crowds, or even to be restricted in doing anything.

As for what to do, of course I'll do what Kōyū loves to do!

Before long, Kōyū got tired of it, stopped swinging, and turned his head to look at Ai, who was gazing at the starry sky.

Feeling that intense gaze, Ai blushed slightly and turned her head to suggest, "Let's go on a trip together after all this is over."

"Okay." A slow smile spread across Guangyou's lips. "I'll take you around the world and show you every corner of it."

"Hmm." Ai turned her head and asked, "I want to go to Beika Department Store to ride the Ferris wheel tomorrow. Can you come with me?"

"It would be my great honor."

...

Kōyū chuckled to Ai beside him and said, "I think I see a few familiar faces."

Ai raised her eyebrows and said, "I saw it too."

Next to Beika Department Store, there is a fairly large amusement park, which is frequented by many children.

Kōyū spotted Conan and his group in the crowd at a glance.

Ayumi, who was in the distance, also saw Kousuke and Ai walking in this direction, so she stood on tiptoe and waved to them.

As he got a little closer, Kōyū got a clearer view: Ayumi was standing next to Conan, shoulder to shoulder, with a smile on her face.

Conan himself didn't notice anything, but Mitsuhiko and Genta stood to the side, glancing at Conan and muttering to themselves.

"Why are you standing so close..."

After taking a few steps, Ai broke free from Kousuke's hand. She wasn't that shameless, even though many people already knew about it.

Guangyou asked curiously, "You guys came to play too?"

"Yes, we came here to ride the Ferris wheel."

Ayumi pointed to the huge Ferris wheel behind her, still wearing that innocent smile.

Guangyou was startled at first, but then calmed down. Although they were also there to ride the Ferris wheel, who said they would be sitting in the same cabin?

Professor Agasa smiled with satisfaction: "I didn't expect your destination to be here today too."

Kōyū explained, "I heard that this Ferris wheel is quite famous in Japan, so I came to take a look."

Professor Agasa nodded: "You two have fun. I'll take Ayumi and the others upstairs first."

...

Inside the Ferris wheel cabin

"Now it's just the two of us here."

Kōyū sat down next to Ai, put his arm around her shoulder, and said, regardless of whether she blushed, "It takes eighteen minutes to go around once."

The implication in her words was quite clear, and in turn, Ai's face became even redder.

Xiao Ai turned her head to the side, looking at the scenery outside the window, her voice fading: "She's still young..."

Guangyou chuckled, a playful smile slowly spreading across his lips: "What I mean is, can I lean on you for a bit?"

"Um."

Ai didn't speak, but only uttered a syllable through her nose.

Kōyū leaned against her, lowered his head and placed Ai's hand in his palm, quietly enjoying the moment.

The Ferris wheel is all about enjoying the view from a high place; but more important than the view is who you ride with.

Ai's seat was on the side closest to the glass window. She tilted her head, feeling the weight coming from her left shoulder while looking at the scenery outside the window.

The city, a steel jungle, stretches as far as the eye can see, while the distant green mountains appear faintly in the distance.

The sky was as blue as a fine blue brocade, with a few thin white clouds floating slowly in the wind, as if melted by the sunlight, like patterns adorning this blue brocade.

Eighteen minutes passed in the blink of an eye, and the Ferris wheel had already completed one rotation.

When Kōyū came out of the cabin, he saw Conan not far from the Ferris wheel.

At this moment, Conan and his friends were gathered in front of a tall woman.

"Miwako."

After taking a few steps in that direction, Guangyou recognized the person who had come. "Is this person here to find the answer in their heart?"

Ai let go of Kousuke's hand and asked curiously, "What are you talking about?"

"It's nothing, we're just going to join in the fun."

Kōyū chuckled, gave a vague answer, and then led Ai over.

Miwako caught a glimpse of Kousuke and Ai beside him out of the corner of her eye, chuckled, and looked up to greet Kousuke: "Kousuke, I'm planning to treat them to something to eat, do you want to come?"

Guangyou smiled and declined, saying, "I won't go. You guys have fun."

Miwako nodded, not insisting, and then left with Ayumi and the others.

Before leaving, Miwako suddenly turned to Mitsuyu and said, "Thank you."

After Miwako left, Ai took Kousuke's arm again and asked, "Is there something between you and that policewoman? Why did she thank you?"
