Chapter 439 The Melancholy Conan

You're overthinking it.

Kōyū looked up at Conan, seeing his disbelieving expression, and shrugged helplessly, "It's really nothing."

Conan still didn't believe it, but seeing that he knew he wouldn't get any answers from her, he had no choice but to give up.

The case here is over, but the show isn't.

"Mr. Mori, do you have time tomorrow?"

The director looked worried. This episode will air tomorrow night. If they invite celebrities again tomorrow and bring them along for filming, the time will be very tight, and there might not even be enough time for post-production editing.

"tomorrow?"

Uncle Mori thought for a moment, then nodded. "Although I'm busy, I can spare some time. Is there anything I can help you with?"

Upon hearing this, Kwang-woo couldn't help but twitch the corner of his mouth.

Uncle Mori said he's busy, but not too bad...

If nothing unexpected happens tomorrow, Uncle Mori will probably still be sleeping in his chair...

I reckon that among this group, Uncle Mori is probably the most free...

"Well, it's like this, since Yoshiteru Kazami, who plays the detective, and Mr. Nagumo, the butler, can't film anymore, so I'm thinking..."

The director looked a little awkward, as if he was afraid that Uncle Mori would refuse.

Seeing his expression, Uncle Mori smiled smugly, coughed lightly, and said calmly, "So you want me to play the detective?"

"Well..." Uncle Mori paused deliberately, pretending to think, and said, "Detectives help people solve problems, so I'll agree. I'll make time to come tomorrow."

The director rubbed his hands together, smiling but also looking somewhat embarrassed: "Then thank you, Mr. Mori, but..."

Uncle Mori looked at the director, his eyes revealing undisguised joy: "But what?"

"but..."

The director seemed quite conflicted, pausing for a long while before finally speaking, "I actually wanted to ask Mr. Mori to play the butler played by Mr. Nagumo."

"kindness?"

Uncle Mori smacked his lips, seemingly still in disbelief, "Butler?"

The director, also embarrassed, smiled and nodded: "Yes."

He seemed worried that Uncle Mori might not agree to the role, so he added, "But it's not confirmed yet. We might ask you to play the detective later."

Uncle Mori didn't know what to say for a moment.

Upon hearing these words, Kōyū couldn't help but chuckle softly. But as soon as he opened his mouth and let out a laugh, Uncle Mōri's eerie gaze drifted over.

Startled, Kwang-woo quickly covered his mouth, took a few steps back, hid behind Ai, and laughed silently.

That's really awesome. Looking at Uncle Mori's astonished face, he couldn't help but laugh.

It's not his fault; even he thought that if Uncle Mori came to play the role, he would be playing a detective.

It turns out he was just a backup option, and he'll most likely be playing the role of the housekeeper.

Conan, who was standing to the side, temporarily forgot the fact that Kouyu seemed to have hidden it from him earlier, and covered his mouth with his half-moon eyes and laughed.

Ai turned her head and glanced at Kousuke, who was leaning on her shoulder and laughing. She then looked at Uncle Mori, who was speechless because of this, and narrowed her eyes, a smile appearing on her face.

After staying at the scene for a while longer, the group decided it was time to go home and find their mothers.

After getting into the car rented by Uncle Mori, the group set off towards Beika Town.

Kōyū leaned close to Ai's ear and whispered, "Do you think Ran found out?"

Ai glanced at Ran sitting in the passenger seat, then shook her head: "I didn't feel anything."

"Let's look back." Guangyou glanced at Xiaolan in the rearview mirror. "I can't tell if Xiaolan heard what we said earlier."

If Xiaolan really heard it but pretended to be like that, then her acting skills are too good.

If an ordinary girl were to encounter something like this, she wouldn't necessarily react on the spot, but she would at least keep glancing at Conan, right?

But Xiaolan didn't. As soon as she got into the car, she took out her phone, seemingly texting someone, and a smile appeared on her face from time to time.

It was impossible to tell whether she had heard what had happened before.

Or maybe she really didn't hear it.

Um.

Guangyou prefers the latter.

"I hope so."

Kōyū turned his head and glanced at Conan, who was deep in thought, rubbing his chin, and muttered to himself, "I hope not."

At 11 p.m., the group finally returned to Beika Town.

Uncle Mori deliberately drove around a bit to take Ai to Professor Agasa's house.

With others present, Guangyou couldn't do what he used to do. After saying a few words of farewell, he closed the car door.

With limited time, Guangyou didn't take a bath as usual, but just quickly washed up and climbed into bed.

"ah."

Kwang-woo lay on the soft bed and let out a comfortable sound.

To be honest, I had a very comfortable day.

It wasn't just because of Ai Haibara, but also because that silly goose Yoshiteru Kazami gave him a chance.

Finally, he had a punching bag to vent his frustrations on!

Punching bags and those things don't feel as intense as hitting a real person.

Normally, either there's no one to fight, or you can't beat them, which is incredibly frustrating.

He did want to fight Kyogoku Makoto, the pinnacle of martial arts, but now...

He really wanted to, but couldn't. He really wanted to have a match with Makoto Kyogoku when he grew up.

I can't say whether we'll win or not, but it'll definitely be a lot of fun.

Comfortable, pleasant...

This is exactly how Guangyou feels today; his love life and life are both thriving.
