"There is indeed such a disk."
Inspector Megure picked up the disk with his white-gloved hand, stood up, looked at Takagi, and asked, "Takagi, how do I use this?"
Takagi took the disk, pointed to the computer on the table, and said, "The computer will do. Let me open it and take a look."
Takagi was in charge of operating the equipment, while Uncle Mori and Inspector Megure stood by and watched Takagi operate it.
"It seems that Mr. Itakura had a habit of writing a diary every day for five years."
Takagi, operating the computer, said, "Perhaps someone will indeed come looking for his information."
Hearing this, Conan, who was standing to the side, breathed a sigh of relief and said, "It seems that there must be a record of his conversation about Tequila two years ago."
The diary was last dated three days ago, and its contents aroused suspicion among the group present.
"The people at the restaurant suddenly said some strange things to me today. Could it be that one of the three of them has already found my address?"
"Never mind, it doesn't matter. I'll just find another restaurant if they find out."
The tone of his words made Uncle Mori feel that the three people behind him were becoming increasingly suspicious.
"It seems that all three of you are indeed suspects."
Uncle Mori turned around, scrutinized the three of them, and advised, "If you confess now, that will be considered turning yourself in."
The three of them looked tense, but none of them spoke.
Seeing that the three of them had no reaction, Uncle Mori snorted coldly, "They really won't shed a tear until they see the coffin."
Inspector Megure asked Takagi, "Is there anything else besides that?"
Takagi shook his head and said, "That's all."
Inspector Megure looked at Takagi and said, "As for this disk, I think we should hand it over to the forensic team first."
"That's fine too."
Takagi nodded, reached out and took the disk out of the computer, put it in a plastic bag and sealed it.
Looking at Conan's worried face, Kōyū knew what he was thinking.
He took small steps to Conan's side and quietly asked, "Trying to find the culprit?"
"Nonsense, I need to find the culprit to prove that the disk is not related to the murder, only then will I have a chance to get my hands on the disk."
His emotions were already fluctuating, and with the information about the organization right in front of him, it was absolutely impossible for him to give up.
Kōyū leaned close to Conan's ear and whispered, "Pay attention to the computer keyboard and the chessboard behind you."
After saying this, he pretended nothing was wrong and walked up to Xiaolan, saying, "Sister Xiaolan, may I wait for you in the hotel lobby first?"
"Okay." Ran nodded at Conan and smiled. "Remember not to wander off and don't cause trouble for the hotel staff."
"I see!"
After responding, Guangyou left the room and took the elevator downstairs.
...
"It's snowing again."
Standing at the entrance of the Mihana Restaurant, Guangyou watched the snowflakes falling from the sky and sighed, "I'm about to face that man for the first time."
He grinned, slightly lowering his eyelids as if his eyes were dazzled by the pure white snowflakes. His eyes reflected the city's dazzling lights, and he repeatedly murmured a name: "Shuichi Akai..."
I stood at the door for half an hour, staring blankly at the snow for half an hour.
"Kuangyou, let's go."
Ran's gentle voice snapped Guangyou out of his reverie. "Dad still has some things to discuss with Inspector Megure. Let's go."
"good."
...
After walking for a while, Xiaolan suddenly stopped. Although she had a smile on her face, it looked forced no matter how you looked at it.
"Kuangyou, Conan."
Xiaolan turned her head to look at the two children beside her and asked, "Do you think people change?"
"If the person leaves, will things change?" Xiaolan looked up, and the streetlights made Guangyou see the tears welling up in her eyes. "This feeling of waiting all the time is a bit tiring."
"Ran-neechan, you don't need to worry." Conan gave a wry smile, looked up at Ran, and said, "Shinichi-nii won't change. He'll still be the same person you knew before!"
Guangyou seemed to remember something as well, and looked up to say, "Sister Xiaolan, sometimes waiting is also a kind of happiness."
"After all, isn't it a kind of happiness to have someone make you wait?"
Guangyou's lips curled up into a smile, "The waiting process may be tough, but the happiness of finally reuniting is something not everyone can experience."
“You and Shinichi grew up together since you were little, and it’s been more than ten years now.”
Kōyū glanced at Conan, whose smile was fading, then turned to Ran and said, "You have to believe in Shinichi. The feelings that have been built up over a decade aren't so easy to disappear."
"That's true."
Ran felt a little relieved and chuckled softly with a slightly flushed face: "I remember when I was little, a teacher took good care of me, but when Shinichi saw it, he got angry at the teacher."
"yes."
Kōyū nodded and teased, "Besides, Shinichi is basically a mystery fanatic. Whenever there's a case, he doesn't even care about the girls around him. If you spend a lot of time with him, I believe not many girls will stick with him."
"So, Sister Xiaolan, you can rest assured."
"Yeah, I have to trust Shinichi. After all, I doubt anyone but me would be interested in a guy with such low emotional intelligence like him."
