Since she couldn't find Guangyou's blood relatives, she would become like family to him and stay by his side. This was the best method she could think of so far.
She had once come across a sentence in a book, but she had only glanced at it briefly and it hadn't left a deep impression on her. However, the current situation suddenly reminded her of that sentence.
After thinking for a moment, Ai's memory of that sentence became clearer: "I remember the sentence was 'Being there for someone is the longest confession of love'?"
She hadn't really thought about it before, but now she felt it made perfect sense. Instead of constantly saying she liked him, she could just stay by his side, hand him a warm glass of milk when he came home, or prepare a delicious meal for him.
Ai secretly made a decision in her heart, saying, "I need to study cooking properly from now on. I'll put the next issue of the fashion magazine on hold for now."
Kwang-woo, who was sleeping on her lap, smacked his lips and let out a soft moan: "Uh..."
"She seems to be waking up."
Ai's voice sounded like a countdown; as soon as she finished speaking, Kōyū woke up and slowly opened his eyes.
...
The moment the pure white dream space disappeared, Guangyou felt as if he were in darkness. He tried to reach out his hands, but he could see nothing and grasp nothing.
In fact, all of this happened in an instant. The next moment, Guangyou felt that he had woken up, but he was still a little confused after sleeping so soundly.
He slowly opened his eyes, and what he saw was a handsome little face.
Ai, with a smile on her lips and tenderness in her eyes, completely brought Kōyū back to his senses.
He realized that he was lying on Ai's lap, and the thought of getting up was completely forgotten.
"Ha~"
Guangyou opened his mouth wide, yawned loudly, then smacked his lips and said, "I slept so well."
"woke up?"
Ai felt much relieved after hearing this answer.
When a person first wakes up from a dream, their expression and the first words they utter are closely related to the content of the dream. For example, when she had a nightmare before, her reaction upon waking up was to sit up and gasp for breath.
Good afternoon, Ai.
Kōyū kept his eyes open, showing no intention of getting up. He just stared directly into Ai's icy blue eyes.
"good afternoon."
Ai didn't ask him to get up. After a simple reply, she got to the point and asked, "What did you dream about? You were laughing one minute and feeling sad the next."
Slightly embarrassed, Guangyou asked, "Uh, did I talk in my sleep?"
"I said so."
Seeing that Kousuke wasn't answering, Ai didn't press him and said, "If you can't say, then that's fine."
Guangyou shook his head slightly and said, "No, that's not it. I dreamt about two elders I'll never meet in this life, actually they are..."
He was interrupted by Ai before he could finish speaking. After hearing that he had only dreamed of two elders, she had a guess in her mind.
"Let's try to avoid this kind of topic."
After making up her mind, Ai stopped Kousuke from continuing and changed the subject, asking, "How much longer are you going to lie there?"
"Oh, oh, oh."
Upon hearing this, Guangyou quickly propped himself up with his hands, scratched his head, and said apologetically, "Sorry, I probably couldn't control myself and accidentally fell asleep."
Even now, he still believes that he accidentally fell asleep, then accidentally fell down, and then accidentally lay directly on Ai's lap.
"fine."
Ai responded calmly and then turned around, secretly rubbing her slightly sore and numb legs as she said, "Actually, it wasn't that long."
She wasn't bold enough to tell Guangyou that she had actually asked him to lie on her lap to sleep.
"That's good"
Guangyou patted his chest, breathed a slight sigh of relief, and said, "How are your legs feeling? They'll get a little sore after a while."
"It's okay, I don't feel anything."
Ai continued rubbing her leg, her voice sounding as if nothing was wrong, while she muttered to herself, "My leg is fine, it's not important. What's important is that I'm happy."
After taking a nap, Guangyou felt refreshed. He jumped off the sofa, stretched, and made a "crackling" sound all over his body.
"Hey."
After Ai felt her leg was better, she let go of his hand, looked up at Kōyū, and asked, "Are we going to the amusement park tomorrow?"
Kōyū turned around, gave Ai a bright smile, and nodded: "Okay."
Sitting back down on the sofa, Kōyū glanced at Ai with slight surprise. Going to the amusement park was no problem for him; he was happy to do so. But he felt that Ai was acting strangely today.
Kōyū asked in confusion, "Ai, why do you suddenly want to go to the amusement park?"
"I just suddenly felt like going."
Ai noticed the increasingly suspicious look in Kousuke's eyes, turned her head to look at him, and said, "Is that not allowed?"
If she were to ask "What do you want?" directly, it would be too blunt, and Kwang-woo would probably scold her. But if they went to an amusement park, she wouldn't have to worry about Kwang-woo seeing through her little scheme.
Guangyou reached out and pinched his chin, still somewhat doubtful, and said, "Going is definitely possible, and I'm happy for you too, but I feel like something's off about you today."
He couldn't explain where this feeling came from, but he really felt that Ai was more proactive than before.
Ai taking the initiative was definitely a good thing for Kōyū, but he was still a little surprised.
