Ai placed the doll on the service counter; it will be delivered to Professor Agasa's house later along with the cup.
The extra coins were returned to Guangyou, and the change he received was just enough to buy two servings of takoyaki, not a penny more or less.
With one hand holding the bag of takoyaki and the other holding Ai's hand, Kōyū left the arcade.
The sky outside had lost its original azure blue, and in its place, a golden yellow shone with brilliant light.
As the sun set, the two strolled along the road and discovered that the number of tourists around them had not decreased but had actually increased.
"It's all for tonight's fireworks display, isn't it?"
Kōyū pulled Ai to sit on a bench opposite a fountain, watching the flow of people, and said, "There are more couples, but fewer children."
During the day, you could often see staff dressed in mascot costumes running around with balloons in their hands.
But now there are very few of these puppet figures left. Looking around, there's only one in the distance, and it seems like it's about to leave too.
However, the number of flower sellers has increased, indicating that the park management also wants to seize this opportunity to make money.
"Time flew by today."
Guangyou leaned back in his chair, looked up at a flock of birds flying overhead, and said with a hint of reluctance in his voice.
"Um."
Ai felt the same way. The scene of meeting in the morning was still vivid in her mind, but now it was already the time for the sun to clock out.
It has to be said that sometimes time can feel very long, but sometimes it really doesn't last long.
It was as if he had only been in a daze for a moment, and by the time he came to his senses, the day was almost over.
He was looking forward to the fireworks display, but he didn't want it to start so early. He wished time could stop.
However, this is just wishful thinking; time continues to pass second by second.
Kōyū extended his hand to Ai and said, "Let's go, let's play a little longer while we still have time."
"Um."
Ai placed her hand on Kousuke's hand and stood up with him.
There are actually many more rides in the park. Even last time they didn't get to try them all, let alone this time. This time they only managed to ride one or two, and spent most of the afternoon in the arcade.
With some time still remaining before the fireworks festival, the two decided to find some more activities to do, even if it was just to enjoy the scenery.
The amusement park was bathed in golden light as the sun set, and people coming and going all wore faint smiles. Laughter and cheerful voices lingered in Guangyou's ears, never stopping for a moment.
It was a different kind of tranquility. Kōyū turned his head and glanced at Ai. The light emanating from the setting sun was not as dazzling as at noon, and it shone on her face with an indescribable gentleness.
With her delicate, fair skin and exquisite, three-dimensional features, or perhaps it's a case of beauty being in the eye of the beholder, Guangyou believed he couldn't find any flaws in her face.
"Ai, I..."
The two stopped at the same time. Ai turned her head with a slight puzzlement, looked at Kousuke, and asked softly, "What's wrong?"
Looking into the girl's eyes, Kwangyu hesitated for a moment, thought for a while, then shook his head and said, "It's nothing."
Guangyou actually wanted to say something to the girl, but after thinking about it carefully, he felt that he should wait for a suitable time to say it. At that time, there would be a better atmosphere, and he could better express his feelings when he spoke.
"oh."
Seeing that Kousuke didn't want to talk about it, Ai didn't press him. She nodded and said, "Let's go then, we still have to queue up later."
"Um."
...
The two arrived at one of the main attractions at Dorobiga Park, which involves taking a boat along an artificial river to see the tropical rainforest scenery created by the park.
From a purely recreational standpoint, Guangyou felt that this project was completely unnecessary and that the thrill of riding the rapids at "Volcano" was far superior.
However, this project is not just about sightseeing; it's also about deepening relationships between people or relaxing.
Therefore, most people who come here are families or couples; very few, if any, come alone to do this activity.
Occasionally, one or two boys would appear as if they had just broken up with someone or something, looking dejected and lacking any of the positive emotions one would expect when out having fun.
But it's understandable; if there wasn't a story behind it, who would come to a place like this alone?
Of course, it's possible that some people simply prefer to come to such places alone, but they are fewer in number.
This project allows you to choose to rent a small boat or go with others.
The former is more expensive, but it's quieter; the latter has a female escort to explain things to you. It's hard to say which is better or worse; it depends on personal preference.
Kōyū prefers quiet, so he personally prefers the former. Ai's idea is similar, so he rented a small boat for two people.
After paying, they boarded the small boat he had rented through the side passage, and with the staff watching them go, the two officially began their short "drifting" journey.
The river surface shimmered, and the small boats moving along it created ripples. A gentle breeze carried the faint fragrance of plants from both banks, but Guangyou could still smell the aroma of the two portions of takoyaki in his bag.
"Takoyaki goes perfectly with beautiful scenery."
Guangyou opened the box by himself, picked up a takoyaki and stuffed it into his mouth. After swallowing, he let out a long sigh and said, "It's a little cold, but it tastes good."
Did you not eat enough for lunch?
Ai looked at the scenery around her and heard Kousuke talking to himself. She turned around and looked at Kousuke, teasingly saying, "It feels like you haven't stopped talking all afternoon."
