(PS: New author, didn't know how to write in the early stages, currently working hard to improve, please bear with me.)
(PS: For the early chapters, please don't take it too seriously...
The only way to calm Aoko down is to have Kaito appear safely. Knowing he was powerless to do anything, Mitsuyu turned his attention back to the movie and the crispy popcorn.
The movie's plot is so-so: humanity's overuse of resources and pollution of nature cause biological mutations, and monsters launch an attack on humans. At the beginning, the monsters are invincible and you can't beat them no matter what you do. In the middle, the protagonist accidentally discovers a weakness or a solution, and finally successfully saves the earth.
There's not much to say about the plot. Watching this kind of movie is mainly about seeing the special effects and maybe grabbing some popcorn to kill time.
Fortunately, not many people in this era watch it. Aoko was initially quite restless, but as the plot progressed and with Kōyū occasionally offering her words of comfort, Aoko calmed down considerably.
The plot was only halfway through at this point. Guangyou glanced at the time, made a mental estimate, and thought to himself, "If all goes well, it should be about time."
Kōyū is not a fortune teller like Mr. Wolong, nor can he predict the future. This time, his calculation was slightly wrong, and Kaito did not appear.
Fortunately, just as the movie was entering its later stages and the most exciting part was just beginning, Kaito, whom Aoko had been worried about for so long, finally returned to the theater.
Aoko shifted her attention from the movie and turned to Kaito, who had just sat back down, asking, "Kaito, do you want to go to the hospital for a checkup?"
"No need, didn't I already say I just needed to use the restroom?"
Kaito looked at Aoko with suspicion, his words as rude as ever, and asked, "Would it benefit you if something happened to me?"
"Fine, don't go then. You really don't appreciate my kindness."
Aoko secretly breathed a sigh of relief, but on the surface she showed no sign of yielding. She snorted coldly and turned back to continue watching the movie.
