The office was filled with the aroma of food as five people sat around the table eating lunch.
"This is my first time making it, so it might not taste good."
Ai lowered her head and ate her food in small bites, her words clearly directed at Kōyū sitting next to her.
"Whether it tastes good or not, we have to try it first."
Anyway, he had already decided that no matter how well or poorly Ai cooked, he would give her a word of encouragement.
Ai made the stir-fried eggs with chives especially for Kōyū, so she placed the dish in front of him.
Guangyou picked up a small bite with his chopsticks and put it in his mouth.
As soon as he took a bite, Guangyou knew he was overthinking it.
The taste wasn't that great, but it was already quite good for someone making it for the first time.
The flavor was a bit bland, probably because less seasoning was added considering his health condition.
Moreover, the leeks in Japan are not as delicious as those in China.
"It's quite delicious."
Guangyou picked up a large mouthful and put it in his own mouth, directly showing Ai that her cooking was indeed good.
"That's good."
Ai had been watching Kōyū's movements out of the corner of her eye, and she felt very gratified when she saw him eating the dishes she had made with gusto.
She knew exactly how the dish would turn out; it was edible, but far from delicious.
"Let's try again later."
Ai decided to go back and practice more, hoping to be able to make dishes that truly deserve the title of "delicious".
...
The meal lasted until almost one o'clock.
After finishing his meal, Guangyou slumped onto the sofa, rubbing his stomach clockwise with his hand, and then let out a rather impolite burp.
Guangyou ate most of the food at lunch today. Perhaps it was because he needed a lot of energy to recover after overexerting himself, or perhaps it was because Ran and Ai made some of his favorite dishes, so he ate more.
Guangyou rubbed his stomach, burped again, and said contentedly, "I feel like I'm alive again."
"I'm going out for a bit."
Uncle Mori put on his ever-present suit, said something to the group, and then pushed open the door of the office and walked out.
"Uncle Mori is acting a bit strange today."
Suddenly remembering something, Kōyū turned his head and glanced at the dozen beers on the corner of the table, wondering to himself, "He only drank one can today, which is not like Uncle Mori at all?"
Normally, this dozen beers would be empty cans by now, but after eating so much food today, Uncle Mori only drank one can of beer.
If he weren't familiar with Uncle Mori, Kōyū might have thought someone was impersonating Uncle Mori.
"Something might have happened."
He didn't think about it too deeply. Uncle Mori had his own things to do, and Kōsuke had no right to interfere.
Compared to Uncle Mori's strange behavior, Kōsuke was more concerned about the park's reaction.
It's been two or three hours since I heard the news. Even if I called them one by one, they should have reached the firm by now.
Putting aside the inaction, at least apologize first, right?
Guangyou felt that his request was not excessive. Although an apology could not make him recover immediately, this formality was still necessary.
"Has the park management lost their minds?"
Guangyou really couldn't understand the park's baffling behavior. From yesterday until now, for the past few hours, apart from appearing in the news this morning, it's been like he's dead.
They didn't issue any statement or anything.
"Go check out their official website."
Guangyou immediately took out his phone and opened the amusement park's official website.
The park's official website still looks the same old thing. As soon as you open the webpage, you see the park's promotional image. From this angle, it doesn't seem to have changed much.
Guangyou patiently looked down and then found a notice on the bulletin board that the park was temporarily closed for maintenance.
This was not the announcement Guangyou wanted to see, so he turned to the next page and finally saw an announcement titled "Apology Letter" on the page after the maintenance announcement.
Guangyou's eyes were full of disdain as he scoffed, "What's the use of just posting on the website? There's no real action involved."
After spending five minutes reading the so-called "apology letter," Kwang-woo couldn't help but laugh, a cold laugh.
"What's wrong?"
Ai was puzzled when she heard Guangyou's cold laugh. She had just finished washing the dishes and was about to rest for a while when she heard the cold laugh as soon as she walked near the sofa.
Kōyū handed his phone to Ai and gestured, "You'll see when you take a look."
"Um."
Ai took the phone, looked at the content displayed on it, and gradually exuded a cold aura.
The above content is indeed an apology letter. At first glance, the content seems normal and unremarkable.
However, upon closer reading, it becomes clear that the park seized upon the police's statement that "the equipment may have problems" and directly shifted the blame to the police.
The message conveyed between the lines is, "We didn't receive any information, this isn't our fault."
They even embellished it a bit; one part of the apology letter read something like this: "After seeing the news about the prisoner escaping, an employee in the park immediately notified his superiors and applied to have the news broadcast throughout the park."
Below this content is a video, the time of which is when the park broadcast the news. It can be clearly seen that many tourists began to leave after this news was broadcast.
The text below also mentions several figures, which can be summarized as: "Our television coverage is very wide. Those who saw it have already left the show. It's not our fault that we didn't see it. After all, Tokyo is so big, no one knows where the criminal might go."
