Chapter 564 Decision

Putting away his phone, Guangyou's smile was disdainful. He scoffed, "Seven million to shut me up? Do you really think I'm easy to fool?"

Even if they go back and increase the compensation to ten million, so what? Guangyou will still stick to his point of view.

Money was never the point; Kwang-yu didn't care about the money at all. He just really hated the way the studio was so greedy.

Making others take the blame for them, and then pretending to be victims to apologize, is, in Guangyou's eyes, "doing the dirty work while trying to maintain a virtuous image."

From Guangyou's perspective, he doesn't think the park will lose a lot of money after admitting it. As long as it's handled properly, rational people will forgive it and even think the park is willing to take responsibility.

But that's only from Guangyou's perspective; those businessmen wouldn't think that way.

There's a saying, "No merchant is honest," which Guangyou finds very insightful.

When faced with such a situation, the first question that pops into the minds of many businessmen is not, "Where did things go wrong this time? How can I compensate the victims?" but rather, "Can this incident be used to my advantage and bring me enough profit?"

This term is somewhat of an overgeneralization, as there are still many conscientious businessmen. However, there's no smoke without fire; if such "unscrupulous merchants" were just isolated cases, this term wouldn't exist.

In this incident, Guangyou happened to be one of the many parties involved. Others might compromise because of the compensation, but Guangyou would not.

Simply put, Kōsuke wanted to spend seven million yen to see the park staff admit their mistakes, leaving them with nothing.

"Wait...it seems there's still room for maneuver."

Guangyou suddenly thought of something. As the person involved, it was only right for him to pay compensation. Moreover, this was the park's mistake in the first place, so he had every right to demand it.

If the park agrees to apologize, he can agree not to pay compensation first. Then, after the park tells the public the truth and admits its mistake, he can have Uncle Mori go to the park to ask for compensation.

So what if there were recordings or contracts beforehand?

How old is he this year?

He's just an ordinary elementary school student now, and his apparent age is not even ten years old. Can his words have any legal effect?

If the park decides to use his agreement not to seek compensation as leverage to refuse payment, aren't they afraid of making themselves a laughingstock?

Guangyou chuckled, a playful look on his face: "It's fine if they don't agree, we can just let Uncle Mori handle it."

Since the younger generation has gotten into trouble, it is only natural for Uncle Mori, who is both an elder and a detective, to investigate the matter. This action is reasonable.

Whether the park agrees or not is irrelevant; the outcome is the same anyway. The only difference is whether the park chooses to admit it voluntarily or wait for someone else to reveal the truth.

"Knock knock knock"

After a knock, the door opened, and Uncle Mori walked in and sat on the edge of the bed, asking, "Kuangyou, you didn't agree to their demands, did you?"

Guangyou nodded, handed the phone back to Uncle Maoli, and said, "Well, I didn't agree. It's better for Uncle to decide these things."

"Yes, you did the right thing this time. Let the adults decide on the compensation."

Uncle Mori took the phone, nodded seriously, and then asked, "By the way, what kind of compensation are they offering?"

"Free tickets to the amusement park forever."

Upon hearing this, Uncle Mori frowned sharply and said with a displeased expression, "Luckily I didn't agree. How much are the tickets worth? You're so stingy."

"There is also a compensation of seven million yen."

Uncle Mori, his brow still furrowed, shook his head slightly: "Seven million? Those are really stingy...how much?"

As they were talking, Uncle Mori realized something was wrong. His tone suddenly rose, and he looked somewhat incredulous. He stammered, "How...how much? Seven...seven million? Say it again."

Kōyū nodded and repeated, "Yes, they said they would give seven million yen in compensation."

"You're quite generous."

Uncle Mori coughed lightly, regaining his serious expression, and said, "It seems they are sincere, but we can't agree so quickly. Let's keep them hanging for a few days."

"You get some rest, I'll head out now."

After saying that, Uncle Mori took a deep breath, slapped his thigh, and got up to leave the room.

"Hehe, Uncle Mori's expression changed drastically as soon as he heard 7 million. That's so true."

When Kōyū thought about Uncle Mori's reaction earlier, he couldn't help but laugh out loud.

He had initially thought that Uncle Mori could remain calm in front of Shichiyoku, and was quite surprised at first, but the next second Uncle Mori revealed his true colors.

The contrast between before and after made Kwang-woo unable to suppress a smile.

"That girl hasn't replied yet."

Guangyou took out his phone and glanced at it. The last text message was the one he had just sent. He couldn't help but shake his head and mutter to himself, "Looks like this girl isn't over it yet."

"Let's talk to her about something important first."

Guangyou took out his phone, typed a text message, and sent it to her.

"The amusement park contacted me just now."

...

Mingmei Apartment

The bathroom door of the apartment was pushed open, and Ai, with a white towel around her neck, walked out.

Because she had just taken a bath, Ai's expressionless face had a pretty blush.

Her brown hair wasn't completely dry; some strands were still damp and shimmered faintly under the light.

When Ai took her phone out of her pocket and saw the explanatory text message, her temper had almost completely subsided.
