Teitan High School, Class 2-B
The classroom was bustling with activity, as students gathered in small groups to chat.
The male students were mainly talking about their female classmates, especially the pretty ones…
There are also beautiful female teachers.
The topics the girls discussed were quite varied.
From celebrity gossip to the most mundane everyday matters.
Cosmetics, horoscope, what kind of guy I've met recently.
They could talk about these topics for a lifetime and never run out of things to say.
On the side of the classroom by the window, Xiaolan did not discuss these issues with the other girls.
Instead, he sat quietly in his seat.
Sitting behind her was Sonoko.
Sonoko, who is usually very talkative, was unusually silent at this moment.
"Sonoko, is something on your mind?"
In the past, Sonoko would always find a topic to chat with her about at this time.
But today, contrary to his usual behavior, he stayed in his seat.
This worried Xiaolan, and she asked, "Is there a problem between you and Mr. Kyogoku?"
"no…"
Sonoko shook her head and said, "I call Makoto every day, and everything is fine except that he's not as proactive."
"Then what's wrong with your expression?"
Xiaolan was a little surprised, because in her mind, Yuanzi was a carefree and sunny girl.
He's always smiling, as if he has no worries.
But now he looks worried.
"It's that news from a couple of days ago."
Sonoko suddenly looked up, staring intently at Ran, and asked in a rising tone, "Ran, aren't we good friends!"
Why are you suddenly asking this?
Xiaolan nodded, and replied with a puzzled look, "Of course it is, we've been playing together since we were little, how could it not be?"
Upon hearing this, Sonoko slammed her hand on the table and demanded, "Why didn't you tell me when Mitsuyu got into trouble!"
"Hey, you know about this?"
Xiaolan seemed to understand something.
"Yes, I knew when it happened that night."
Sonoko nodded, then slapped the table and asked, "Such a big thing happened, and you didn't even tell me, Ran?"
Xiaolan explained, "Guangyou is fine, so I didn't want anyone to worry."
"How could I not be worried! I was actually in a good mood when I saw the news that Lord Kidd was saving people that day."
Sonoko recalled that night and continued, "When I looked at the details later, I realized that the child that Lord Kid saved looked very familiar, and that's when I had a bad feeling."
"Upon closer inspection, I realized it was Guangyou and the little girl who often played around him."
"At the time, I didn't believe it; I thought I must have seen wrong."
"But after watching it several times, I still think so."
"Later, I asked Officer Takagi and confirmed that the child that Lord Kid saved was Kousuke."
"And the girl that Guangyou saved was the one who was very close to him."
"So that's how it is."
Xiao Lan smiled slightly and comforted him, "He's fine, he just needs to rest for a while."
I know he's alright.
Sonoko naturally understood this.
If something happens, Xiaolan won't come to school, and I'll have the time to comfort her.
Ran smiled and said, "Sonoko, I didn't expect you to care so much about Mitsuyu."
"No matter what, he's my savior, and he's always been good to me, so I definitely have to care about him!"
Hearing Sonoko's words, Ran was taken aback and asked, "Your savior?"
"Yes, I don't know if you remember the first time we met A-Zhen."
Sonoko continued, "On that one occasion, I was almost killed, but thankfully Mitsuyu protected me."
She still remembered the last time Guangyou stood in front of her to protect her.
At that moment, under the bright moonlight, that small figure gave her a great sense of security.
Since that incident, Sonoko's affection for Kousuke has skyrocketed.
Of course, this isn't the kind of relationship between a man and a woman.
To be precise, it's more like the relationship between an older sister and a younger brother.
Sonoko has already come to regard Mitsuyu as half a younger brother.
However, Guangyou never thought that way, after all, the soul of an adult was hidden inside his body.
If he knew that Sonoko treated him like a younger brother, he'd probably be all smiles on the outside but cursing under his breath.
"If Kwang-woo knew how important he was to you, he would probably be very happy."
After Sonoko mentioned it, Ran remembered it too.
However, what she remembers most vividly is the prisoner who stood in front of the police and kept shouting "Awesome!"
There was also his first encounter with Makoto Kyogoku.
"By the way, Ran, I'll go to the office with you after school today. I want to visit Kyou."
Sonoko's request was reasonable, and Ran agreed without much thought.
"Perfect, I can give him a surprise... Haha~"
During the conversation, Sonoko suddenly yawned, and a tear squeezed out of the corner of her eye.
"Sonoko, haven't you been sleeping well these past two days?"
Ran noticed the unusual weariness on Sonoko's face and couldn't help but feel puzzled.
"It's not that I didn't sleep well, it's that I barely slept at all."
After yawning, Sonoko slumped onto the table and said, "I've been busy with something these past two days and haven't slept much."
"What's wrong?"
Xiaolan was very curious about what Sonoko was so busy with that she didn't even have time to sleep.
"It's a secret, this is a surprise for Guangyou."
Yuanzi yawned again, keeping everyone in suspense.
Xiaolan shook her head helplessly: "I really can't do anything with you."
