"If you're not calling me now because of something important, you're dead!" Guangyou threatened into the phone.
"This is Conan. I need your help with something very important!" Conan's urgent voice came through the phone.
"What is it?"
"There are five bombs planted on the loop line. The mysterious person only gave one clue, saying that the bombs were planted at XX of XX on the East Capital Loop Line, and that they would explode if the train was traveling at less than 60 km/h, and that they would explode when the sun went down! I'm a bit clueless now, and I haven't found any suspicious items on the train."
Guangyou pondered for a moment: "Are you stupid? There's nothing on the loop line except for trains? Have you forgotten about railway tracks?"
Hearing this, Conan was a little confused: "What about when the speed is less than 60 and the sun sets and it explodes?"
Kōyū curled his lip in disdain: "High school detective, huh? The sun goes down, meaning there's no sunlight. A bomb won't explode without sunlight. A speed below 60 km/h is considered reaching that speed, meaning the bomb will be exposed to sunlight within a certain timeframe. If sunlight is required, then the bomb should be planted..."
"Between the railway tracks."
"Between the railway tracks!"
Conan and Mitsuyu said this almost at the same time.
Having fully understood, Conan quickly said, "Thank you, Mitsuyu. I'll go tell Inspector Megure and the others!"
After saying that, Conan hung up the phone. Listening to the busy tone on the other end, Kouyu muttered, "That wretched kid, he just loves bothering me."
Ai cut off a small piece of steak and put it in her mouth: "Is the matter resolved?"
Guangyou nodded: "It's resolved. How was it? Are you full?"
Ai wiped her mouth: "It's alright, but not as good as what I make at home."
Hearing this, Guangyou felt a little excited, but he couldn't show it: "Okay, I'm almost done too, shall we go for a walk?"
After paying the bill, the two left the store.
The train conductor on the other side received the order, his face covered in cold sweat, and cooperated with his superior's command to slowly reduce the speed.
"Start reducing speed now!"
"68 kilometers!"
"67 kilometers!"
...
"61 kilometers!"
"60 kilometers!"
As the number of cases was about to drop below 60, the worry on everyone's faces in the command room was palpable. Inspector Megure even closed his eyes, fearing that his guess might be wrong, and that mistake could result in nearly a hundred names being wrong.
The train conductor's excited voice came through: "58 kilometers! No abnormalities!"
As the train slowly came to a stop, the faces of everyone in the control room were filled with joy.
1 column...
5 columns...
10 columns...
20 columns...
The trains on the loop line all came to a slow stop in the same way. The tense faces of everyone in the control room relaxed, and they wept with joy, embracing each other to celebrate surviving this ordeal.
Inspector Megure then gathered officers and police dogs, and successfully defused the five bombs that had been planted between the railway tracks.
Although all five bombs were defused this time, Inspector Megure's face was still serious: "We can't relax yet. Judging from the amount of explosives stolen a few days ago, we have only recovered a quarter of the total amount stolen so far."
At this moment, Officer Shiratori returned with the investigation results, successfully clearing the mayor's son of suspicion.
Uncle Mori stroked his chin: "The prisoner's home is definitely not in one of the five places where the bombs were planted along the loop line. After all, the bombs would affect a certain area, and I believe he wouldn't want his own home to be affected."
"etc!"
At this point, Uncle Mori paused slightly: "I understand! He must have paused the pet basket's timer today for this reason! The prisoner might be living in that apartment building!"
Inspector Megure thought about it and agreed. He sent people to search the area, but they found no clues.
Conan asked about the exact location of the bomb. Hearing the name of the bridge, he felt it sounded familiar, but he didn't remember it. However, the bridge happened to be shown on TV.
Conan thought to himself: Isn't this the bridge that Professor Moriya hangs on the wall in his house?
Thinking of this, Conan asked, "Was this bridge designed by Professor Moriya?"
Uncle Mori and his two companions weren't knowledgeable about architecture and couldn't offer an answer, but Officer Shiratori nodded and said, "This was indeed designed by Teiji Moriya..."
Inspector Shiratori gave a brief introduction to the bridge. After hearing this, Conan had some guesses in his mind and then said, "By the way, Uncle, who designed the house in the arson case? Should we investigate it?"
After careful investigation, everyone was surprised to discover that these houses were all designed by Teiji Moriya!
Any normal person would know that these are not coincidences; the culprit must have some connection with Teiji Moriya!
Everyone hurriedly left the hospital and headed to the Moriya Teiji residence.
It was 9 o'clock, and couples strolled by, laughing and joking, on the bustling street.
The two children who attracted the most attention were, of course, Mitsuyu and Ai.
After finishing their meal, they strolled around the streets for a while, ate some snacks, and eventually arrived at Mihua Cinema.
Looking at the giant poster for "The Legend of the Red Thread," Kōyū was somewhat tempted. Just as he was about to speak, Ài pointed to another poster next to it and said, "I want to watch a movie, I'll watch that one."
Following Ai's gaze, Kōyū saw a poster several times smaller than the one in the Legend of the Red Thread, with the words "Einstein's Glorious and Troublesome Days" written on it.
