Chapter 583 Returning the Umbrella

The next morning

With the permission of both Ran and Ai, Kousuke was finally able to leave that small room and stroll around the streets today.

"Finally I can go out... It's delicious."

Guangyou finished the sandwich Xiaolan made in a few bites, then drank the warm milk in his cup, rubbed his stomach contentedly, and let out a very unrefined burp.

During this period, Guangyou spent most of his time in bed. Bed was comfortable, but lying in bed for too long made him feel like his body was getting rusty. He was also quite worried that eating without exercising during this time would cause him to lose his figure.

Fortunately, Guangyou weighed himself these past few days and his weight hadn't changed much. However, he still decided to increase his training intensity to avoid a significant drop in his strength.

At that moment, Ran, wearing the classic Teitan High School uniform, pushed open the door of her room and greeted the two sitting there, "Kouyu, Conan, you two pack your bags, it's time to go out."

The two replied in unison, "Okay, right away."

Yes, today is a school day. Kōyū had planned to take Ai out for a trip today, but he never expected that his first day of being allowed to go out would be a workday.

Actually, it wasn't just this that was going wrong. Yesterday, he was hoping that today he could finally embrace the sunshine and enjoy the feeling of being bathed in its warmth.

"Tomorrow in Tokyo, the weather will be sunny and the temperature pleasant, perfect for a family outing, picnic, or camping trip..."

This was the weather forecast yesterday evening, but now...

Guangyou turned to look out the window. Large raindrops were hitting the windowpane with a "pitter-patter" sound. Then he said to himself, as if to comfort himself, "There are always mistakes. We can't be too strict. Just consider it bad luck."

It's raining outside right now, not heavily, but it doesn't look like it's going to stop anytime soon.

"Conan, Mitsuyu, it'll be too late if we don't leave now," Ran's urging voice rang out once again.

"They're here, they're here."

With his backpack on and a folding umbrella in his hand, Kōyū quickly walked to the door to meet up with Ran and Conan.

As soon as he stepped outside, Kōyū noticed a figure standing on the stairs on the first floor of the agency. He recognized the figure immediately, so he quickly ran downstairs, walked over to the figure, and asked, "Ai, what brings you here?"

"What? Can't you come?"

Ai turned her head to look at Kousuke, shook the wet umbrella in her hand, and explained, "I haven't returned the umbrella from last time. I was worried that you would get wet and cold if you didn't have an umbrella, so I came to wait for you."

Upon hearing this, Guangyou subtly tucked the folding umbrella in his hand into the water bottle compartment on the side of his backpack, then took the umbrella from her hand and said, "Let's go then, class is about to start."

Ai simply smiled slightly and gave a soft "hmm".

Ran, who was behind him, naturally saw Kōyū's little actions. She smiled and her slightly narrowed eyes flashed with tenderness, but she didn't say anything. She just led Conan behind and made some space for the two in front.

The two shared an umbrella and walked side by side on the sidewalk.

The area under the umbrella seemed to be its own world. The conversations of pedestrians and the sounds of car engines rose and fell around them, but the two of them were not affected in any way.

During their conversation, the two unknowingly arrived at the entrance of Teitan Elementary School.

After shaking the rainwater off their umbrellas at the entrance of the building, the two walked into the gate of Teitan Elementary School.

Once they entered the school, Mitsuyoshi and Ai naturally separated a bit, but they were still close enough.

However, if these elementary school students had accidentally seen the two holding hands, it would have caused some bad consequences, which would have been troublesome.

Kōyū didn't care, but he was worried about Ai. It wouldn't be good if word got out.

Kids these days are so clever! Ayumi isn't even in second grade yet, and she's already chasing after guys. You can imagine how much more clever the older kids are.

Before he was injured, Guangyou saw an older boy confessing his love to someone with a flower.

Finally, the school called the child's parents in, and it's rumored that the child has transferred schools.

She's practically a child who hasn't even grown up yet and is already trying to start dating.

Although strictly speaking, he doesn't have it now, his situation is special and cannot be compared with others.

The classroom of Class 1B was still as lively as ever.

The students gathered in small groups to discuss topics that Guangyou had absolutely no interest in.

"Kuyou, Ai, good morning!"

Upon hearing that energetic voice, Kōyū knew it was Ayumi, so he smiled, nodded, and replied, "Ayumi, good morning to you too."

Ai also said to her, "Good morning."

After the two of them sat back down, Conan slowly entered the classroom.

Upon seeing Conan, Ayumi immediately perked up and greeted him with an even more energetic voice than before: "Good morning, Conan!"

"Good morning, Ayumi."

Conan replied with a smile, but the smile vanished from his face the next second.

Even though it was just a very ordinary greeting, Ayumi seemed a little happier.

"Sigh, Ayumi will have to face reality sooner or later."

Guangyou shook his head helplessly. The more he liked it now, the more painful it would be when he found out the truth.

The emotions we feel in our early, innocent years are the most profound and have the greatest impact on us.

He felt he needed to have Ai talk to him to help him out, to avoid any major problems later.

Ai seemed to have guessed what Kōyū was thinking and said, "I'll talk to her about it later. This child is quite innocent."

"Ring ring~"

The school bell rang, and Kobayashi Sumiko walked into the classroom with a book in her arms. As she walked toward the podium, she called out, "Quiet down, get ready for class."
