Chapter 591 The Law of "It's Really Good"

"Ring ring~"

The bell that students had been waiting for rang, and soon many elementary school students left the school building in groups, some walking and some running towards the gate.

The scene was like a zombie apocalypse.

In the hallway, Kōyū approached Ai and said with a smile, "Ai, let's go back together?"

"You go ahead, I have something to do later." Ai's response was indifferent, and it was impossible to guess what she was thinking just by listening to her talk, but Kōyū knew a little about it.

"Still throwing a tantrum? It was my fault this time, I apologize. I shouldn't have taken advantage of you when you weren't looking..."

Halfway through her sentence, Ai turned her head immediately, a flash of shame and indignation in her icy blue eyes, and glared fiercely at Kyou.

"I didn't say anything, and you didn't hear anything." Guangyou coughed lightly, swallowing back the words he was about to say.

Seeing Kōyū's reaction, Ai smiled and turned her head slightly, saying, "I'm not angry, it's just that you acted like that in front of so many people, what if someone saw you..."

"No one will see it. Even if someone does, I'll just say you're my sister." Guangyou sighed inwardly. He used to dislike people calling them siblings, but now he was saying it himself.

He eventually became the very thing he hated most.

"Who's your sister? If you say we're siblings, then I'm the brother." Ai smiled and looked ahead, speaking softly.

Upon hearing this, Kwang-yu froze for a moment, then slowly uttered, "Your sister..."

But that didn't matter. After seeing the smile return to her face, it didn't matter who was her brother or sister anymore. The fact that she could smile made Guangyou very happy.

"Ai, Mitsuyu, do you want to come along?"

Suddenly, a clear and melodious voice rang out, causing both of them to turn around at the same time. Kōyū asked in confusion, "Ayumi, where are we going?"

"It's just going to Kuroki-kun's house to play together." Ayumi ran up to the two of them, pointed to Kuroki Tetsuya following behind, and said, "Our Junior Detective League is only missing the two of you."

"Conan went too?" Kōyū was clearly taken aback. Based on his understanding of Conan, he should have disdained participating in such activities, so why did he suddenly agree?

Curious, he turned his head and looked back, then nodded in sudden realization: "So that's how it is."

Not far away, Conan walked beside Genta with dead fish eyes, looking so weak that Kouyu immediately understood what had just happened.

"It's pathetic that a high school detective has fallen to such a state." Thinking of this, Kōyū couldn't help but chuckle twice.

Not getting a reply, Ayumi continued, "Kuyou, Ai, are you two going?"

"I think I'll pass. I've only been healed for a few days, and I need to get back soon." Guangyou silently gave himself a mental thumbs up. Look at that excuse! Ayumi and the others would never let this "injured" guy go out and run around.

He wasn't close to Tetsuya Kuroki, and he didn't have much in common with the kids. After all, he couldn't possibly shout out some melodramatic lines like "Kamen Rider, attack!" into the TV like those kids.

He'd be better off spending that time in the office reading the "Edogawa Ranpo Collection," which he hasn't finished yet.

"Okay, then we'll be going now." After hearing this reason, Ayumi brought up the matter of going to the Kuroki family's house again, and even added with concern, "Kuyou, take care and get some rest. I wish you a speedy recovery."

After saying that, Ayumi returned to the crowd, preparing to go to Tetsuya Kuroki's house with Conan and the others.

As for Ai, Ayumi didn't ask her, because in her opinion, if Mitsuyu didn't go, then Ai probably wouldn't go either, as had happened many times before.

But this time is an exception...

"Wait a minute, Ayumi, I'm going too."

Ai glanced at Kousuke, then jogged to catch up with Ayumi and said, "Someone told me to participate in more group activities, and I think that makes a lot of sense."

"It's a pity that Kousuke didn't come, otherwise it would have been even more lively." Ai's participation surprised Ayumi, but Kousuke didn't think so.

Watching Ai's retreating figure, Kōyū froze on the spot, speechless for a long time.

Perhaps wanting to see a fascinating expression on his face, Ai took a few steps forward, then turned back to look at him and smiled.

Embarrassing, extremely embarrassing.

However, he still didn't want to go; it was just too boring there.

"Yeah, it's still boring, I don't want to go," Guangyou thought to himself.

...

After leaving the school, the group headed in the opposite direction from their usual home. Kuroki Tetsuya led the way, while the rest followed behind him, chatting.

"Ai... um? Kouyu?" Ayumi, who was about to strike up a conversation with Ai, suddenly noticed a familiar figure next to her and asked in confusion, "Are you coming along?"

Conan glanced at Kouyu in the crowd, then gave him a gloating look, feeling much relieved.

Ai, walking beside Ayumi, turned her head to look at Kousuke and smiled, "What? Didn't you say you weren't going?"

"I think that person is right, we should definitely participate in more group activities." Guangyou had a sudden inspiration and made up a reason on the spot.

"Aren't you going home to rest? Or how about we go out and play together once you've recovered?"

Hearing this, Ai forced down her laughter and chimed in, "Yes, the injured should go back and rest properly. They can play whenever they want, but if they get sick, then it will be a big problem."
