Just as Ai was lost in thought, Kōyū's voice rang out: "What are you thinking about, you little devil? Something feels off."
"It's nothing," Ai said, shaking her head. "I just feel a little hungry."
"Hungry?" Guangyou didn't suspect anything and said, "Then I'll take you to have dinner, but unfortunately there aren't many restaurants around here."
He still remembered the fried pork chop rice he had that afternoon; it was cheap, but not particularly delicious.
At the time, it was because the show was about to start, so I just randomly picked a place to eat. Choosing that restaurant was purely by luck; I just picked it by a simple method.
Now that he has the time and the money, of course he'll choose a restaurant with better food.
"No need for that." Ai looked around and pointed to a small shop across the street. "That one will do."
Following Ai's gaze, Kōyū saw a ramen shop and asked, "Ramen?"
"Hmm, I suddenly have a craving for ramen," Ai said, turning around. "What about you?"
Looking at the ramen shop across the street, Guangyou didn't hesitate much and nodded: "Ramen it is, whatever makes you happy."
He originally wanted to take Ai to a high-end restaurant for a meal. Although those places are more expensive, the food is indeed quite good. It's not that it's extremely delicious, but it's definitely above average.
More importantly, the atmosphere there is nice.
However, since Ai wants to eat ramen now, let's change our plans and go eat ramen.
He had no objection; it didn't matter where they ate.
As long as Ai is willing, Kōyū wouldn't mind squatting on the curb with her to eat, as he's been to even more difficult places before.
Hmm, that's a bit of an exaggeration.
"Let's go." Kōyū smiled at Ai, "I'll take you to eat ramen."
Looking at the smiling face in front of her, Ai smiled faintly and nodded, "Mm."
...
This ramen restaurant is only of medium size, with a total of about twenty tables.
There were plenty of green plants inside the store, and no obvious trash on the ground; the environment looked quite nice.
Perhaps because it was located near a movie theater, there was a lot of foot traffic, so when Guangyou and Xiaoai arrived at the restaurant, there were only two empty tables left.
After ordering, Kōyū led Ai through the two empty...
No need to choose anymore. The other table was taken when we were ordering, so there's only one table left. We don't have any choice at all.
Sitting in the last empty seat, Kwang-yu looked around with some anticipation.
So far, Guangyou doesn't know how the ramen tastes, since he hasn't tried it before, but there's one thing he's already quite intuitively felt.
That's the price.
A bowl of ramen costs 460 yen, which is cheaper than the pork cutlet rice I had for lunch.
No matter how it tastes, as long as it's not too awful, Guangyou can accept it completely.
The two ordered the same flavor, classic pork bone ramen, and also added three servings of char siu, two for Kōyū and one for Ai, for a total of less than 1,500 yen.
Compared to Kōyū's original budget of tens of thousands of yen, the actual cost of this dinner was zero less.
Money isn't the point; the point is how good the ramen tastes.
If the taste is good, I can come to this restaurant again to have a bowl of ramen when I bring Ai to play here in the future.
"Kids, take your time eating your ramen."
Soon, an old woman brought the ramen to the two of them and said with a smile, "If you don't have enough, just ask me, and I'll add more for you."
"Thank you, Grandma." Guangyou nodded with a smile.
The old woman smiled and said, "You're welcome."
After saying that, she turned and left.
He was probably in his sixties, with a kind and gentle face and a very robust physique. He walked briskly, leaving behind a breeze carrying the scent of scallions.
The old lady left a good first impression on Guangyou, but the most important thing about a ramen shop is still the ramen.
The business here is so good, and those people over there are eating so enthusiastically, the food must taste pretty good too, right?
Coming to his senses, Kwangyu looked at the ramen in front of him and nodded in satisfaction.
Food is all about color, aroma, and taste. Guangyou doesn't know how it tastes yet, but the presentation is quite good.
The noodles are submerged in the milky white soup, with three large pieces of char siu neatly arranged on top. Scallions rise and fall with the soup, and there is half a soft-boiled egg on the side.
The ramen was topped with a mixed topping, mainly corn and supplemented with green beans, and a few pieces of seaweed were stuck in the rim of the bowl.
Seeing this, Guangyou nodded secretly. At this moment, he felt at ease, knowing that the ramen would definitely not be bad.
This dinner was the couple's last date before going home, and Kōyū hoped that the ramen would give their date a perfect ending.
It seems like this trip is going to be a sure thing.
After taking a bite of noodles and a sip of soup, Guangyou mentally evaluated the ramen: the noodles were a bit soft, the soup was quite light, and it had a pleasant fragrance when you drank it. Not bad.
Guangyou quickly finished his noodles. The portion of ramen wasn't particularly large; it was just enough to make an average adult feel about 70% full, which was just right.
Overall, it wasn't exceptionally delicious, but it was definitely not bad either; it was above average. The best part was the char siu, which was perfectly seasoned, a definite plus.
And this bowl of ramen only costs a little over 400 yen, what more could you ask for?
When Kōyū finished eating, Ai had only eaten half of her meal. So Kōyū, with a perfectly justifiable and open attitude, propped his chin up with his hand and turned to look at Ai.
