Seeing this, Guangyou nodded in satisfaction; things had indeed gone as he had expected.
With things temporarily calmed down, Guangyou prepared to leave this troublesome place, just like a small group of onlookers who had finished watching the drama unfold. He planned to buy some raw materials and then hurry home.
As we passed the group of people, a familiar male voice rang out: "Please make way, everyone. This is a police investigation, and we appreciate your cooperation."
"Isn't that Takagi?" Kouyu paused slightly as he saw Takagi emerge from the crowd, then quickened his pace to leave. "I can't let this guy see me. I have to go back."
It's true what they say, what you least want to happen is what happens. Just as Kōyū was about to walk out of the crowd, Takagi called out to him, "Isn't this Kōyū? What are you doing here? Did you come with Mr. Mōri?"
As he spoke, he looked around, but did not see Kogoro Mouri.
"I came to buy some things by myself." Guangyou reluctantly turned around, gestured to the gift bag in his hand, and said with a smile, "I've finished buying my things and am about to go home."
“Okay.” Takagi nodded and said to Mitsuyu, “Then be careful on your journey.”
"Okay, goodbye, Officer Takagi."
When he turned around, Guangyou breathed a sigh of relief and then quickly walked towards 109 Department Store.
"Where is the person who called the police? Never mind, let's make a call. Maybe they left after reporting it."
After saying goodbye to Kōyū, Takagi returned to the crowd and directed a small group of police officers to maintain order while the rest went to investigate the surrounding area. Then he took out his phone to call the person who reported the incident and find out what had happened.
When Takagi saw the caller's phone number, he felt inexplicably familiar with it, as if it belonged to someone he knew.
"It might just be my imagination." Takagi shook his head, opened the dial pad, entered the phone number, and waited for the call to connect.
