"Pour it into the mold and shake it twice."
"good."
After doing all this, Guangyou put the two of their semi-finished chocolates into the refrigerator to wait for them to solidify.
"Handmade chocolates can't be kept in the refrigerator or freezer for too long, otherwise oil spots will appear on the surface," Kouyu instructed Conan. "So we have to come and check every day for the next few days. If this happens, we'll have to redo it."
Conan nodded, thought for a moment, and then asked Mitsuyu a question: "Is there any way to prevent this from happening?"
"Yes, but it's too much trouble." Guangyou rummaged through the refrigerator to see if there was anything to eat. "I remember that operation is called temperature control. It's not that difficult, but it's not that simple either. You just need to get the temperature right, otherwise you'll have to start all over again."
"Okay." Conan understood Kousuke's unspoken message, "I'm afraid of trouble, so I didn't do it," so he didn't want to dwell on the matter any longer. Watching Kousuke rummaging through the refrigerator, he asked, "What are you looking for? Aren't we going back for dinner now?"
"I thought it would be late after I finished making the chocolate, so I told Ran this morning that we would have dinner at Professor Agasa's house tonight." Kouyu continued rummaging around. "I wanted to see if you had anything to eat. If you did, we could just grab a bite. If not, I'll treat you to something to eat out."
"Oh, so generous?" Conan realized something was off as soon as he said it. "You knew this morning I'd stay and make chocolates?"
"I thought of that when I saw your text message yesterday." Guangyou sighed and took out two boxes of frozen spaghetti from the refrigerator. "Not bad, you guys actually have some food left over."
"That's from a long time ago, it must be expired, right?" Conan was a little worried. Even if it was expired, it was still edible, but there was always some risk involved. "How about we eat out?"
"It's not expired, but it's almost there, only... five more days." After confirming that it wasn't expired, Guangyou walked towards the microwave to heat it up. "Let's try it first, don't waste food."
Conan looked at Kōyū speechlessly and retorted, "I think you're just lazy."
Guangyou didn't even try to argue, and said calmly, "You're absolutely right."
Conan remained silent.
What else could he say after everyone else had already said that?
The pasta was heated up quickly.
The two sat in chairs with steaming frozen spaghetti in front of them.
Conan sniffed the smell in the air; it smelled a bit strange. He hesitated for a moment, then asked, "Do we really want to eat it?"
"We're lucky to have anything to eat at all." Guangyou sniffed the air, frowning slightly. The smell was indeed a bit strange, but he still said, "Maybe this is how it's supposed to taste?"
"I hope so." Conan picked up his fork, took a deep breath, but ultimately didn't eat it. He looked up at Kōyū and said, "You try it first."
"I'll give it a try." Guangyou took a small bite, his expression changed slightly, and he decisively stood up from his chair with the bowl in his hand, saying, "Let me treat you to something else. I can't handle this."
“Me too.” Conan stood up, holding his bowl, and nodded in agreement. “How about we go eat ramen?”
"A good suggestion."
The two used the disposable shopping bags they had received when they bought the ingredients to process the dough.
Although the noodles haven't expired yet, they've already started to taste a bit sour.
After leaving the Kudo residence, the two went to a nearby ramen shop to have dinner.
It wasn't particularly delicious, but it was still better than that frozen pasta.
After dinner, the two prepared to return to the office, and to avoid passing by Professor Agasa's house, they deliberately took a detour.
When the two returned to the office, Uncle Mori had just seen off a customer.
This is truly rare. Recently, the firm has received only a handful of clients. I never expected to have one today. But isn't it a bit too late?
Could it be that they've entrusted you with something shady?
"Hey, uncle, someone's coming this late?" Guangyou glanced at the man's departing figure, somewhat puzzled. "A request or something?"
"He came over to invite me to an event." Uncle Mori casually replied before changing the subject, "You two little devils should hurry upstairs to take a bath and go to bed. If you behave well, I might consider taking you along."
"Then I'll go up first."
Although he wasn't really interested in participating in the event, Kōyū still made an appearance, responded, and went straight up to the third floor. He wanted to take a shower and then lie in bed to text Ai for a while.
As soon as they pushed open the door to the third floor, Kouyu and Conan saw Ran tidying up the table.
"Kuangyou, are you really not going to watch that wrestling match?"
Upon seeing Kōyū and Conan enter, Ran took two wrestling match tickets out of her pocket and handed them to Kōyū, saying, "Since we have nothing to do on the weekend, it's good to go out and see something."
After taking the ticket, Guangyou glanced at the time on it. The match was at 7:00 AM on Saturday. After thinking for a moment, he nodded and said, "Then I'll go take a look too."
Actually, when he saw the date, Kōyū wanted to refuse because the original plan for that day was to give the gift to Ai, and the match was a bit early.
If you want to watch this match, you have to get up around 6 a.m. and rush to the Dongdu National Sports Hall. Although it's not very far, wouldn't it be better to use that time to sleep?
Just as he was about to refuse, an idea popped into Guangyou's head—about how to give a gift.
After careful consideration, Guangyou decided to agree.
