Chapter 69 Ran VS Makoto Kyogoku

The next day, the matter was resolved, and everyone breathed a sigh of relief. There was only one day left in the three days and two nights.

Kōyū felt he should do something and discussed it with Conan.

"I'd like to try and bring Makoto Kyogoku and Sonoko together."

Seeing Kōyū's serious expression, Conan asked in confusion, "Why? What does their business have to do with you?"

These words left Kōyū momentarily speechless. Could it be that the later plot told him that Kyogoku Makoto and Sonoko were an official couple?

Suddenly, Kōyū thought of a reason: "Look at you and Ran! You're always showing off your love. You showed off your love on your birthday last time, and you show off your love on the phone all the time. How can you let Sonoko eat your dog food in the side!"

"No, explain yourself clearly, what did Ran and I do?" Conan asked, somewhat embarrassed.

Guangyou waved his hand: "Who cares what he looks like? Just tell me if you'll help or not!"

Conan, his face covered in cold sweat, exclaimed, "Help! How could I not help! We're like brothers!"

The real reason Conan agreed was that Kousuke was holding a packet of powder.

Conan recognized the powder; it was the same powder he had given to Masahiko Michiwaki last night.

Recalling last night, the seductive moans of Michiwaki Masahiko still echoed in Conan's mind.

Thinking of this, Conan shuddered.

Hearing Conan's answer, Kōyū nodded in satisfaction: "That's more like it!"

In fact, what Kousuke asked Conan to do was very simple: to arrange a fight between Ran and Makoto Kyogoku.

This is also one of Ran's little wishes. After Michiwaki Masahiko was taken away by the police yesterday, Kyogoku Makoto doubted his own abilities because of Michiwaki Masahiko's reaction and went straight to training.

Ran originally wanted to have a fight with Makoto Kyogoku to see where the difference between them really lay.

Although Xiaolan knew she definitely couldn't win, martial arts practitioners make friends through martial arts, so how could she not fight just because she couldn't win?

No, since the two sides have no enmity or grudge, nothing will happen.

Xiaolan had been grumbling about it for a long time yesterday, so I naturally went along with it.

Conan turned around and went to make arrangements, while Mitsuyu naturally had his own tasks to complete.

Not long after Conan left, Kōyū also left the room, muttering, "It's more reliable to buy seafood here..."

"What did you say? You want to fight me?"

Makoto Kyogoku was somewhat surprised to hear this.

Normally, people only spar with him during matches; otherwise, they just train with him.

However, each training session falls short of the required level; very few people in the dojo can withstand two-thirds of the force.

Therefore, he usually trains on his own.

Kyogoku Makoto hadn't heard a request to fight him in a very long time, and he was pleasantly surprised. However, glancing at Ran in front of him, he said, "Miss, isn't that a bit inappropriate? I'm afraid I might hurt you..."

Although he didn't finish speaking, Ran knew what Kyogoku Makoto wanted to say. Ran adopted the respectful etiquette between karate practitioners: "Stop it! Please! Let me know how much I'm inferior to the famous kicking prince!"

Kyogoku Makoto hesitated for a moment, then nodded: "Alright! That's enough!"

Kyogoku Makoto originally wanted to say he would go all out, but he was afraid of hurting Ran if he did, and saying he would hold back would be disrespectful, so he could only say that he would stop short of it.

Afterwards, Makoto Kyogoku, Ran, and Conan, who was just watching the show, got up and went to an open space to prepare for a "fierce" showdown.

Upon reaching an open area, both sides first exchanged greetings, then assumed their positions in preparation for an attack.

The two gradually approached each other, but neither made any move, afraid of giving their opponent an opportunity.

Makoto Kyogoku had also heard of Ran Mouri's name. He had also seen Ran's match when he first met Sonoko, and he was quite surprised at how strong a girl's fighting ability was.

Ran was also very nervous, after all, Makoto Kyogoku was a formidable player who had won hundreds of consecutive matches!

Moreover, the two sides are not even in the same league!

In terms of physical strength, women have fewer advantages; whether it's strength or endurance, they are relatively inferior to men.

This isn't about discrimination or anything; there are women who are stronger than men, but such women are extremely rare.

Every woman like this possesses extraordinary abilities, provided certain conditions are equal. After all, comparing a weightlifting champion with a sedentary man who doesn't exercise is meaningless.

Kyogoku Makoto's face showed only solemnity and respect, while Ran was different. Although Ran did not appear nervous, she still had some cold sweat on her face. Kyogoku Makoto's aura was still somewhat strong for Ran.

Whether it's karate or anything else, stance is one of the most important elements!

The power of a strong person can make the weaker person retreat or even defeat the opponent simply by virtue of their power. This is truly a victory without fighting!

Xiaolan realized she couldn't continue like this. Gritting her teeth, she moved—a lightning-fast whip kick.

Kyogoku Makoto dodged the attack with a quick retreat, and Ran naturally understood that it wouldn't be so easy to fight back. Following the direction of the whip kick, Ran turned around and delivered another whip kick.

This roundhouse kick was much more powerful than the previous one, but Makoto Kyogoku was no pushover either, and he delivered the same roundhouse kick, causing their legs to collide.

A tremendous force came from Kyogoku Makoto's leg, and Ran couldn't help but take a few steps back.

The slight pain in her leg surprised Xiaolan: "So you really held back after all."

Conan, who was standing to the side, felt a pang of anxiety when he saw Ran at a disadvantage for the first time.
