After playing with the cat for a while, Guangyou held the cat in his hands, preparing to put it back into the cardboard box.
I've been playing with the cat long enough; it's time to stop petting it and go to the supermarket with Ai.
As soon as Guangyou put the orange cat back in the cardboard box, he saw the cat put its front paws on the edge of the box, as if it was about to jump out of the box.
However, it didn't. It just lay by the cardboard box, looking at Kōyū with its pretty cat eyes, and occasionally turned its head to look at Ai standing next to it.
"This cat seems pretty smart." Ai's lips curled into a smile, which then slowly disappeared.
Guangyou had previously mentioned adoption, but she refused.
The reason is precisely that: things haven't truly calmed down yet.
Suppressing her own thoughts, Ai said calmly, "Let's go."
"It is indeed quite smart, and quite clingy." Guangyou smiled as he recalled the orange cat's eyes earlier.
I must have misread it, or it was just my imagination.
“We can go now.” Guangyou suddenly remembered his business and said, “But I need to make a phone call before I leave.”
"Hmm." After hearing this, Ai squatted down and gently tapped the orange cat's head with her finger.
The orange cat turned to look at Ai, its little head bobbing up and down as it was being ignited.
It stretched out its front paws, trying to hit Ai's outstretched fingers.
Seeing this, Ai's smile returned once again.
Withdrawing his gaze from Ai's face, Kōyū smiled slightly.
This further solidified his determination to open a cat cafe.
If she really opened a cat cafe, then Nizi could pet cats without any psychological burden.
"Ai, I'm going to make a phone call over there. I'll be right back." Kōyū said to Ai as he took out his phone.
"Mmm." Ai responded softly while playing with the orange cat.
After walking to the side, Kōyū glanced at Ai and then dialed Narumi's number.
The call connected quickly.
"Kuangyou, what do you want?"
As soon as the call connected, Chengshi's voice came from the other end of the line.
"Cough cough..."
Guangyou was slightly embarrassed when he was exposed on the spot.
Clearing his throat, Kwangyu decided to bring up another matter first: "Sungmi unnie, I just wanted to ask you, do you... want to get a cat?"
"Raise a cat?"
Narumi expressed some surprise at what Kōsuke said, "I actually quite like cute little pets like cats, but why are you suddenly asking me this question?"
“I met a stray cat on the street. It’s quite cute. But I have special circumstances here and can’t keep it, so I came to ask you, Sister Chengshi, if you would like to keep it.”
Glancing at the orange cat playing with Ai on the cardboard box, Kōyū added, "It's quite lively and friendly."
"..."
The silence on the other end of the phone was exactly what Guangyou had expected.
Getting a pet definitely requires careful consideration.
He did not break the silence, patiently waiting for Chengshi's reply.
A moment later, Narumi's voice came: "Are you bringing it over, or..."
Upon hearing this, Kwangyu knew that Narumi had agreed.
But now it was his turn to fall silent.
How to get the cat into Chengshi is indeed a problem.
However, this is not a particularly troublesome matter.
If he didn't have to go to the supermarket now, and he didn't expect to leave early, he could have just taken the cat to Narumi's place.
Looking around, Guangyou's gaze settled on the convenience store a few dozen meters away.
She then made up her mind and said, "Hmm... how about I trouble you, Chengshi-neechan, to come over? I'll leave the cat at a convenience store, and then you can come and pick it up."
“Sure, I’m bored at home anyway.” Cheng Shi quickly agreed, saying, “I can go out for a walk and catch a movie. I remember there’s a new movie that’s been released recently, something like ‘Before Sunrise,’ I heard it’s pretty good.”
The familiar movie title prompted Guangyou to subconsciously agree, saying, "It's really quite good. Although there aren't many conflicts in the plot, it's very enjoyable to watch."
"That's good. I was worried it would be a bad movie."
As soon as she finished speaking, Chengshi realized something and suddenly laughed and teased, "I didn't expect Guangyou to go see that movie too. I bet you went with your girlfriend, right?"
Before Kōyū could speak, Narumi seemed to have thought of something and said, "That cat was probably something you and your girlfriend encountered near the movie theater after watching the movie, right?"
“…” Guangyou remained silent.
How did she know?
Intuition?
"Of course, these are all just my guesses." Chengshi's laughter came from the other end of the phone. "It's just my intuition, it's not accurate."
“…” Guangyou fell silent again.
A woman's intuition is truly terrifying.
"Kuangyou? Why are you suddenly not talking?" Chengshi asked quickly when she heard that there was no sound from the other end of the phone for a long time.
"I was thinking about something just now," Guangyou changed the subject. "Then it's settled. I'll send you the address via text message later."
"Okay, I'll go get it in a bit." Cheng Shi readily agreed.
"Oh, right, Narumi-neechan, I'll call you again tonight." Before hanging up, Kwang-woo said to Narumi, "I have something very important to tell you."
"Can't we say now?" Chengshi asked, puzzled.
“Now…” Kōyū glanced at Ai, then at the time, and said, “Time is a bit tight. Let’s talk about this tonight. Even if we talk about it now, it won’t be resolved in the short term.”
