Holding an empty bowl, Guangyou walked into the kitchen.
After putting the bowl in the sink, he didn't start washing it right away, but instead grabbed a lollipop.
Tear open the candy wrapper and stuff it into his mouth. Kwang-woo habitually twisted the candy stick around, savoring the sweetness spreading in his mouth, and nodded in satisfaction.
"So sweet!"
After taking another slurp, Guangyou rolled up his sleeves and prepared to wash the empty bowls.
"Eat less sugar." Ai walked to his side, took part of the bowl, put it in the sink in front of her, and reminded him while helping Kōyō wash the dishes.
"Okay~ This is the last one." Guangyou felt a warm current flow through his heart, and nodded in response while washing the dishes.
The two washed the dishes in silence.
A few minutes later, Guangyou wiped the bowl with a towel and said softly, "I'll be going back in a bit."
"Okay." Ai paused for a second, then continued, her tone unchanged. "Remember to send me a text message when you get back."
"Don't worry, I won't forget." Guangyou nodded and put the cleaned bowl aside.
Looking at the empty sink and then at the time, Guangyou let out a breath and said softly, "Although there weren't many bowls, I still had a hard time. Hmm... I'll go rest on the sofa for a while."
These words sound like they were spoken to himself, yet they also seem somewhat unlike that.
After saying that, Guangyou picked up the washed bowl next to him, put it back in its original place, and then left the kitchen and walked to the sofa.
Upon hearing this, Ai didn't respond, but simply quickened her pace.
Leaning back on the sofa, Guangyou closed his eyes, savoring the sweetness of the lollipop.
A short while later, he felt that there was another person on the sofa.
Opening his eyes, Kōyū turned to look at Ai sitting next to him and asked knowingly, "Are you done washing?"
"Yes, I'm all washed." Ai nodded, her tone flat. "I'm going to rest for a bit."
As soon as she finished speaking, Ai felt her hand being pulled by Kousuke. She didn't try to pull away, but simply asked softly, "What's wrong?"
"Nothing much..." Guangyou swallowed back the words he was about to say and changed his words, "I just wanted to hold onto you and not let you leave me."
"I won't leave," Ai replied softly. "So...can you let go now?"
She said that, but she showed no intention of breaking free.
But Guangyou let go.
Before she could react, Kōyū quickly moved closer, put his arm around Ai, and said gently with a smile on his lips, "Then... as you wish."
Leaning slightly to rest her head on Kouyu's shoulder, Ai closed her eyes and a smile appeared on her lips.
In his presence, I can completely shed the pretense I put on in front of others.
He had gotten used to the occasional extra weight on his shoulders, and turned to look out the window with a smile.
The sky, which had been dyed golden, had begun to darken, and the fading light indicated that it was getting late.
This also means that I don't have much time left here.
At that moment, Guangyou suddenly felt his phone start vibrating in his pocket.
Judging from the duration of the vibration, it was probably a text message.
He slowed down, took his phone out of his pocket, and sure enough, it was a text message.
It was issued by Cheng Shi.
"I've already watched that movie, and I must say, it was really good. By the way, does the cat have a name? If not, I'll name it one for it. [Image.jpg]"
The text message also included a picture of that orange cat.
In the picture, the orange cat is lying in the cardboard box with its eyes closed, as if it's sleeping.
After glancing at the text message and the picture, Guangyou quickly edited the message and sent it: "I haven't named it yet, Chengshi unnie, you can name it if you want."
Asking him to name a child is a joke.
He hasn't even named himself, how could he possibly name a cat?
The names that kept swirling in my head were all overused and common, like Angela and Rebecca.
“Okay, I’ll go think of a name first,” Chengshi replied quickly.
"Okay." Guangyou replied and then put away his phone.
After glancing at the girl leaning on his shoulder, Guangyou turned back and slowly closed his eyes.
Recalling the events of the past two days, a faint smile involuntarily appeared on his lips.
Then, he thought about the cat cafe again.
I've organized my thoughts so I can discuss them with Narumi later.
After calming down, Guangyou thought about many more questions.
For example, the issue of domesticating stray cats.
Most of the stray cats he has seen so far are quite lively, and most of them are quite friendly to people, which may be because many people feed them.
He discovered that this seemed to vary by area; for example, some stray cats in parks were quite friendly to people because there were many people in the park, so those cats saw many people as well.
So far, everyone he's met in the park has been quite friendly.
This seems to fit the saying that "personality is shaped by the environment".
Of course, there are always exceptions. There are also aloof cats, and he has seen such cats before.
And that's exactly what's troubling him.
For cat cafes, being friendly to people is ideal, but if the cats are aloof or even afraid of strangers, then it can be a bit of a problem.
Because the cats in a cat cafe will definitely have to interact with people.
Being aloof is fine, as long as you're not afraid of people, or even get angry when people get close, because there will always be some people who like this aloof style.
As for that personality trait of being afraid of people...
