After a pause of one second, Kwangyu continued, "Well, there's another secret, which is..."
"Sneak attack successful, hehe..."
After saying that, Kousuke didn't wait for Ai to react before turning around and running away.
He waved to her with his back turned and said goodbye, "I'm leaving now. I'll definitely remember to message you when I get back. Don't stay up too late tonight, you have school tomorrow."
Watching Kōyū's departing figure, Ai came back to her senses, reached out and touched the "mark," then smiled wryly and muttered to herself, "A sneak attack, huh..."
Standing there, Ai Haibara maintained that pose with a smile on her lips until Kousuke's figure disappeared around the street corner before turning and leaving.
...
After finishing what he needed to do, Guangyou quickened his pace.
He deliberately "forgot" the chocolate, walked slowly on purpose, and acted that way in preparation for what was to come.
Most of it is fake, but the words spoken are true.
Humming a tune, Kwangyu quickly returned to the agency.
"I'm back."
As soon as he opened the door, Kōyū saw Uncle Mori sitting in the living room watching TV, shouting, "Go for it! Overtake the ones in front!"
The TV was very loud, drowning out the sound of the door opening, but it didn't drown out Guangyou's words.
Hearing the sound, Uncle Mori glanced in Kouyu's direction, then turned back, as if afraid of missing any exciting moment, and said symbolically, "Hmm... Good luck! Overtake it!"
"I'm going back to my room now."
After spending some time with him, Kōyū had already gotten used to Uncle Mori's way of speaking.
Not surprisingly, I simply greeted them, then pushed open the door and went inside.
At this moment, Conan is sitting at his desk reading a book.
"How is it?" Kōyū put the gift box on the table, plopped down on the bed, looked at Conan, and asked.
"What do you mean, how?" Conan continued flipping through the book, so engrossed in his reading that he didn't even notice Kōyū's question.
"It's the chocolate project, didn't you deliver it?" Guangyou asked as he took out his phone and sent Ai a text message saying "I'm home."
Putting down his phone, Kōyū looked up and stared at Conan with a scrutinizing gaze.
Given Conan's personality, this isn't impossible.
"You mean that one?" Conan said, looking a little awkward. "Of course I gave it to him."
"And then?" Guangyou raised an eyebrow, asking gossipily, "Was Xiaolan particularly touched, and then you two..."
"How could that be!" Conan's tone rose, but realizing this, he calmed himself down and said, "That's not true at all. I just gave the chocolate away."
"oh."
Upon hearing this, Kōyū put away his gossipy expression and said with a hint of exasperation, "Tell me, if you had called Ran in Shinichi's voice when you delivered the chocolates, wouldn't that have been so interesting... no, I mean, how great would that have been?"
In that situation, wouldn't a simple phone call to ask how I was doing be enough?
Conan missed such a great opportunity!
Is your emotional intelligence, which is usually online, just not online today?
"You know what happened back then," Conan instinctively defended himself.
"I really didn't know what was going on back then." Kōyū rolled his eyes at Conan, picked up his phone when he felt it vibrate, and glanced at the text message.
It was posted by Ai:
"Okay, get some rest early tonight, don't stay up too late, or you'll come to school with panda eyes tomorrow."
After quickly composing the message, Guangyou pressed the send button:
"Don't just talk about me, you should too. Get some rest early tonight."
A few seconds later, Ai's reply came through, and it was very simple: "Okay, goodnight."
After replying with "Goodnight," Kōyū put away his phone and looked up to continue watching Conan.
"Sigh... Look at you, you missed such a good opportunity." Kōyū knew that he wouldn't do such a thing, but that didn't stop him from teasing Conan.
Anyway, Conan can't refute it.
And that was indeed the case. Conan couldn't refute it at all, and could only mutter, "I don't have that kind of experience, and I was a little nervous at the time. How could I have thought of so much? I'm not you."
"It's like I was born knowing all this." Guangyou's forehead was covered in black lines after hearing this.
"Who knows?" Conan, no longer interested in reading, closed the book, put it aside, shrugged, and said.
"Look at what you're saying..." Guangyou was speechless.
"Let's not talk about these things anymore. Anyway, it's all in the past. Besides, we can't go back in time and do it all again." Conan was optimistic, thinking that there was still a long time ahead, and he could make up for these things later.
“Yes.” Guangyou agreed wholeheartedly. “After all, this is your plan, and it’s your choice how you decide. Anyway, I’m quite satisfied.”
Recalling what happened in the past two days, Guangyou couldn't help but smile.
While he was reminiscing, Conan was also reminiscing.
Recalling the scene of giving him the chocolate, Conan smiled, saying with a hint of arrogance, "It's just a chocolate, why are you so happy..."
Even though he knew what Conan meant, Mitsuyu couldn't help but say, "Actually, I used to be immersed in my own world too, but when I care, I make changes."
When he heard Kousuke start talking, Conan stopped reminiscing and looked at Kousuke.
“I used to think that gifts were just things that were optional…” Many images and figures flashed through Kōyū’s mind, finally settling on Ai’s face.
