Chapter 730 Stubborn Conan

Ten minutes later, Guangyou had almost finished tidying up.

Before leaving the kitchen, Guangyou said goodbye to Xiaolan: "Sister Xiaolan, I'm almost done cleaning up, so I'll go back to my room to rest for a while."

"Yes, thank you for your help, Guangyou." Xiaolan smiled.

Since Guangyou joined the family, she feels that the burden on her shoulders has become much lighter.

She does most of the cooking at home, but Guangyou will occasionally help cook a meal or two when she is busy or feels a little tired.

If he gets up early in the morning, he often prepares breakfast for them.

After meals, Guangyou would help her clean up, and he would also help with some housework.

In her opinion, Guangyou is a pretty good kid.

"You're welcome," Guangyou replied with a smile, seemingly unconcerned. "I've already called you 'sister,' so why thank me? Alright, Sister Xiaolan, I'm going back to my room to rest now."

After saying that, Guangyou dried his hands with a towel and turned to leave the kitchen.

Watching Guangyou's retreating figure, Xiaolan suddenly chuckled softly: "Sister? She's quite nice."

At this moment, Guangyou had already left the kitchen and come to the living room, so he naturally didn't hear Xiaolan's voice.

In the living room, Uncle Mori was sitting cross-legged in front of the television, intently watching Yoko Okino's variety show.

He had already put the newspaper away and placed it aside.

His gaze swept across the newspaper, but Guangyou didn't go forward. He just glanced at it and then walked straight into the room.

He had little interest in those arson incidents.

Pushing open the door, Kōyū saw Conan sitting at the table, looking thoughtful.

"Are you thinking about those arson incidents?" Kōyū asked, sitting on the bed and looking at Conan.

"Yeah, I'm bored anyway." Conan nodded and said seriously.

Upon hearing this answer, Guangyou was somewhat speechless.

There's definitely not enough homework.

"Then keep thinking about it, I won't bother you anymore." Guangyou lay down on the bed, intending to laze around for a while, and then go take a shower.

“I feel like this case is familiar, but I can’t quite place it right now.”

At first glance, it didn't seem like much, but now that I've calmed down and thought about it carefully, Conan feels like he's encountered similar cases before.

“You’re just imagining things,” Kōyū replied casually. “Sometimes I also have that feeling that ‘this has happened before,’ but just ignore it.”

"No, I think I really have encountered it before," Conan denied.

“Then keep thinking…” Guangyou said helplessly, “This matter is best left to the police, it has nothing to do with you.”

"That's true, but I'm so bored right now and can't sleep, so I'm just killing time with this." Conan sighed. "Unfortunately, there aren't any leads right now."

He really wanted to go to the crime scene to see if he could find any crucial clues that would help him catch the arsonist.

But this idea is not very realistic.

Unless he becomes an eyewitness or goes with Uncle Mori to handle the case, given his current situation, there is absolutely no way he could get involved.

However, if these are the only two methods, Conan thinks it's best not to get involved.

He was over there thinking about the case, while at that moment, Kōyū was lying in bed texting with Ai.

Indeed, he wasn't interested in those arson incidents, but it did serve as a reminder.

There's a dangerous individual in Tokyo who loves playing with fire.

I should remind Ai.

"Ai, there's an arsonist in Tokyo who hasn't been caught yet. If you spot anyone suspicious nearby, be sure to let me know."

After composing the message, Guangyou pressed the send button.

Shortly after, Ai replied, "Is it those recent arson incidents? I know about them. I'll be careful, don't worry."

"Yes, I remember. If you spot any suspicious individuals, please notify me immediately," Guangyou instructed again.

A few seconds later, Ai replied:

"Okay, I'll tell you. I have to go now, I need to do my research. You should get some sleep."

"Okay, I understand." Guangyou smiled slightly, edited the text message, and sent it.

"good evening."

"good evening."

Putting away his phone, Kōyū sat up abruptly on the bed, glanced at Conan who was still pondering the case, and couldn't help but remark, "To think for so long without any clues, typical Conan..."

Without disturbing Conan, who was engrossed in thinking about the case, Kōyū took his pajamas, left the room, and headed for the bathroom.

...

The feeling of being immersed in hot water made Guangyou let out a comfortable sigh.

"Cool..."

As time goes by, the fatigue accumulated over the years slowly disappears.

With his muscles relaxing and a wave of drowsiness washing over him, Guangyou couldn't help but yawn, a single tear welling up in the corner of his eye.

The glistening drop slid down her cheek and eventually gathered in the bathtub water.

After feeling that he had soaked for about the right amount of time, Guangyou got up, stepped out of the bathtub, dried himself with a towel, changed into his pajamas, opened the door, and left the bathroom.

Back in his room, Conan was still thinking about the case.

Seeing this scene, Guangyou was speechless.

I haven't been to the crime scene, and I don't have any useful clues.

Why is Conan able to think for so long?

This is so boring.

"Are you still thinking about those arson incidents?" Guangyou said, sitting cross-legged on the bed. "No matter how much you think about it, it's useless. There are no useful clues."

“No.” Conan shook his head and explained, “I was just wondering if the arsonist really just wanted to provoke the police, or if he had some other purpose.”
