Chapter 783: Aren't you going to read a novel?

Rizen-cho is not far from the office, but it is about a half-hour drive away.

On the bus, Kazuha and Ran hadn't slept all night, so after they got on, they sat in the back and fell asleep leaning against their seats.

Heiji Hattori sat in the passenger seat, while Conan was held in his arms.

Conan originally wanted to object, but what was going on with being held in a boy's arms?

But seeing that the back row was already full, and remembering that Xiaolan hadn't slept all night, he held back.

On the one hand, I wanted Xiaolan to get some rest.

On the other hand, I don't want to eat in the car.

Behind him, Mitsuyu whispered to Ai, "Rest for a while, you didn't sleep much last night."

As he spoke, he patted his left shoulder with his right hand.

"Take a nap."

"And what about you?" Ai glanced at Kousuke, the gentle sunlight shining through the car window onto his face, allowing her to see his concerned expression.

"You weren't asleep either, were you?"

She managed to get some sleep last night, so she's not particularly tired now, but Guangyou hasn't slept a wink.

"I'm fine. Do I look sleepy?"

To match his words, Kōyū smiled at Ai.

"You rest for a while. As for me, I'll go back and eat something before I go to sleep."

That wasn't a lie; he really wasn't very sleepy. Rather than sleeping, he wanted to go back and eat something.

"I'm not sleepy either." Seeing that Kousuke was so insistent, Ai didn't continue, but that didn't mean she had given up on the idea.

She decided to try a different approach to get Guangyou to go to sleep for a while.

Let's chat for a while.

"Sweetie, you should rest for a while." Kōyū gently squeezed Ai's hand, leaned close to her ear, and whispered these words.

"Don't you want to talk to me anymore?" Ai's voice was cold and unchanged, but her expression looked somewhat disappointed.

"How could that be?" Kōyū vaguely guessed Ai's purpose, and after thinking for a moment, he felt that it wouldn't hurt to take a nap.

A warm feeling welled up from his heart, and a smile unconsciously appeared on his face as he softly spoke to Ai.

"How could I possibly not want to talk to you?"

"But I suddenly felt a little sleepy and wanted to take a nap."

As he spoke, Guangyou yawned.

After staring at Kōyū for a while, Ai nodded, as if she believed what Kōyū said.

"Then you should go to sleep."

"Um."

After responding, Kōyū withdrew his gaze from Ai's face and closed his eyes.

I leaned back in my seat, ready to take a short nap.

Seeing that Kousuke had closed his eyes, Ai whispered something, seemingly to herself and also to Kousuke sitting next to her.

"Well... I'll take a nap too."

Before she could finish speaking, Ai leaned slightly forward, resting her head on Kyou's left shoulder.

She slightly raised her head and glanced out the car window.

It was almost dawn, and the sun's rays had painted the entire sky a gentle golden hue.

She only glanced at him once before quickly shifting her gaze from the car window to Kōyū's face, who was sitting next to her.

He had his eyes closed, as if he were asleep.

Sunlight streamed through the car window, falling on his upper body and face, which seemed to soften Guangyou's expression.

Ai closed her eyes after her gaze lingered on Kousuke's smile for a moment.

But after only a few seconds, Ai suddenly opened her eyes again, looked at Kousuke's smile for a few more seconds, and then closed her eyes again.

She then shifted slightly, finding a more comfortable position in Guangyou's arms, before finally calming down.

As time passed, Ai, who seemed to be asleep, slowly raised the corners of her lips into a gentle smile as warm as the morning sun.

...

Soon, the car stopped downstairs at the firm.

"Ai, we're here." Kōyū woke up on the way back and whispered to Ai after the car came to a stop.

"Um..."

After a barely audible murmur, Ai opened her eyes, revealing eyes as beautiful as top-grade sapphires.

The moment Ai opened her eyes, she saw Kouyu smiling.

Although she slept for a short time, Ai slept quite soundly because she didn't get enough rest last night, which made her a little groggy when she first woke up.

She rubbed her still sleepy eyes, covered her mouth and yawned, then greeted Guangyou.

His cool voice carried an undeniable hint of languor.

"Good morning.."

"Good morning."

After responding with a smile, Guangyou reached out and wiped away the tears from the corner of her eyes, then said, "Let's go, let's go upstairs first."

"Um."

After the two got out of the car, Kōyū greeted Uncle Mori and then took Ai upstairs.

"What do you want to eat?" Kōyū pushed open the door to the third floor and turned his head to look at Ai, who had been smiling the whole time.

At the same time, I was thinking about what else was in the refrigerator and whether I needed to go out and buy some.

"It will be all right."

Hearing Ai's words, Kōyū felt both happy and conflicted, as it was a difficult choice for him.

However, thinking about it now is useless.

We also need to check what's left in the refrigerator.

"Ai, go wash up first, I'll go prepare breakfast."

"Um."

Without much formality, Ai turned and walked towards the bathroom after watching Kōyū go into the kitchen.
