Chapter 790 I really want you to stay here forever

As night falls, the stars twinkle, and the lights of countless homes, along with the neon lights of the bustling city, illuminate a small patch of the night sky.

In the living room on the third floor of the firm, a group of people were having dinner around the dining table.

"I remember you guys are going out to play tomorrow, right?" Uncle Mori said to the group after opening a can of beer and taking a sip.

"I also need to return the car to the rental company tomorrow, so I can take you there."

"Thank you, Uncle!" Kazuha quickly thanked him.

"It's nothing." Uncle Mori took a bite of his food and said nonchalantly, "Anyway, I don't have any requests these past two days, so taking you there is a good way to make the most of the rented car."

"Hey, Heiji, Conan, why aren't you two eating?" When Kazuha turned around, she saw that Hattori Heiji and Conan were holding bowls, but they weren't touching their chopsticks.

The rice in the bowl was still there, not a drop less.

"We want to eat slowly," Conan replied, then shoveled a small mouthful of rice into his mouth.

“Yes, yes!” Hattori Heiji agreed, and also took a small bite.

"Oh." Kazuha didn't press the matter. Seeing the two eating, she smiled and said to them, "You two should eat more tonight, especially Heiji. I made something you like especially."

"Mmm-hmm." Conan nodded to Heiji Hattori, while putting another mouthful of rice into his mouth.

"Don't just eat rice, eat some vegetables too," Xiaolan said to the two of them when she saw that they were only eating rice and not vegetables.

"I've eaten, I've eaten." Conan nodded to Heiji Hattori again and took a bite of food.

"Why do I feel like you two don't really want to eat?" Kazuha noticed that something was off with the two of them, as if they didn't want to eat.

Could it be that there's something wrong with the food?

Thinking of this, He Ye frowned and took a bite of food.

The taste is fine, right?

After confirming that it wasn't a problem with the food, Kazuha looked up at Heiji Hattori and Conan, a hint of suspicion in her eyes.

"You didn't eat something before you came back, did you?"

This sentence made Heiji Hattori pause for a second while he was eating with Conan. Heiji Hattori swallowed the food in his mouth, smiled and waved his hand.

"No, Conan and I definitely didn't eat any octopus this afternoon..."

Before he could finish speaking, Hattori Heiji felt a pain coming from his leg.

It was because of this pain that Heiji Hattori realized what he had just said and quickly corrected himself, "Conan and I definitely didn't eat anything this afternoon."

After staring at Hattori Heiji suspiciously for a while, Kazuha gave up asking questions. "If you don't have an appetite, just eat a little."

"Mm." Heiji Hattori and Conan nodded with smiles, each putting a mouthful of rice into their mouths, but they both felt a little awkward.

Neither of them had even thought about it.

If I had remembered, I wouldn't have eaten so much in the afternoon.

...

They ate dinner for more than half an hour. After finishing, Hattori Heiji and Conan slumped on the ground, rubbing their slightly full stomachs.

After glancing at the two of them, Kōyū turned his attention back to the television program. "Ai, what do you think of this program?"

The show airing now is an entertainment program that basically involves using various gadgets to prank celebrities and then filming the moment they are pranked.

"It's pretty boring." Ai handed a glass of warm water to Kousuke and then sat down next to him.

"There's nothing good on TV these days." Kōyū took a sip of warm water, then suddenly remembered something and turned to look at Conan on the other side.

He needs to tell Conan about the camping trip.

He just received a reply from Professor Agasa, which basically asked him to ask Conan if he wanted to go.

"Camping?" Conan twitched his lips and scoffed, "The professor and those kids really love camping."

"They said the hiking trip was canceled, so Professor Agasa wanted to take them out for some fun, which would also be a good opportunity for them to relax," Kouyu explained.

"Alright." Conan thought for a moment and nodded, saying, "If I'm free that day, I'll go too."

"Hmm." Kōyū responded, then put the water in his hand aside, took out his phone, and sent a text message to Professor Agasa.

He also gave a word of advice.

"Doctor, you'd better start preparing your camping gear now, so you don't end up like you did at the castle last time, bringing all sorts of things but forgetting your tent."

Soon after, Professor Agasa's reply arrived.

"Don't worry, that was an accident. This time, nothing will leak!"

After replying with "That's good," Guangyou put away his phone, held the cup in his hands, and watched TV.

...

“It’s just that this place isn’t big enough.” Kōyū took out Ai’s personal bedding from the past few days and said to Ai, “Otherwise, I really would like you to stay here forever.”

"Dream on." Ai rolled her eyes at Kouyu. "There's no research equipment or lab here. Do you expect me to go all the way to the basement to do my research?"

"I was just saying." Kōyū and Ai were carrying bedding and walking towards Ran's room when they heard Ai's words and chuckled twice.

"Besides, do you think I don't know what you're thinking?" Ai recalled the ambush that afternoon and deliberately gave Kyou a disdainful look.

At the same time, he reached out and helped Guangyou open the door.

"I just want to see you the moment I open my eyes," Kōyū said as he entered the room. "That's all, nothing more."

He didn't have any of those miscellaneous thoughts at all.

"Really?" Ai looked at Kousuke with a skeptical gaze.

“Really!” Kwang-yu nodded affirmatively.

"That won't work either." Ai bent down to help Kousuke spread out the bedding and said to him, "Don't you have my picture? You can just stick one on the ceiling."

"How can that be the same?" Guangyou chuckled.

"How is it different?" Ai asked without stopping what she was doing.

"Okay." Guangyou didn't dwell on the issue too much; he was just joking. "We'll talk about this later."

"Hmm." Ai suddenly stopped what she was doing, her eyes half-lowered, as if she was thinking about something.

However, this only lasted for a moment. Soon, Ai came to her senses and continued to make the bed.

"Your rest has been irregular these past few days." After making the bed, Ai told Kōyū, "Don't stay up late tonight, and if you can't sleep, stay in bed."

“Okay.” Guangyou knew what she meant, and just as she said, after sleeping for so long in the afternoon, he was not sleepy at all now.

If he waits until he feels a little sleepy before going to bed, Guangyou estimates he won't go to sleep until four or five o'clock tomorrow.

That would not only affect tomorrow's plans, but it wouldn't be good for your health either.

"Don't worry." Kōyū smiled and ruffled Ai's hair. "You too, if you can't sleep, just lie in bed and don't stay up late."

"Okay." Ai nodded and followed Kousuke out of Ran's room.
