Unlike bustling downtown areas like Shinjuku and Shibuya, the area where the office is located becomes relatively quiet at night.
Actually, it's not very noisy during the day.
This is also something that Kwang-yu likes.
Quiet.
Inside a room on the third floor of the office, Kōyū sat next to Ai, completely absorbed in the painting, using colored pencils to add color.
Beside him, Ai leaned against the headboard, carefully reading a novel.
She would occasionally turn her head, her gaze lingering for a moment on Guangyou's face as he was coloring her makeup.
Seeing the serious expression on Guangyou's face, a smile would always flash across her own.
Only then did Ai shift her gaze from Kouyu's face to the notebook.
As Kōyū gradually filled the painting with color, Ai seemed to be moved by the painting and suddenly remembered the scene of the chorus.
...
"Don't worry, that won't happen..."
"It will absolutely not happen."
...
"It was agreed back then that you would be my research subject for life."
Don't worry.
...
"I still want to eat your sandwiches, and the pork rib soup you made last time was pretty good too..."
"Why is all you can think about is food?"
"Because in my eyes, you are like candy."
...
"What's the meaning?"
"Because I like sweets."
...
After being jolted awake from her memories, Ai's eyes softened involuntarily.
After watching Kōyū diligently coloring for a while, Ai finally looked away and continued reading her novel.
...
A dozen minutes later.
"Phew...almost done." Guangyou shook his hand, looked at the painting that was half finished, and nodded in satisfaction.
At this point, most of the painting had already been colored.
In the painting, the setting sun shines into the room through the window, and the two people in front of the window are bathed in the afterglow.
The boy holding a guitar seemed to be singing, while the girl with brown hair sitting next to him leaned on his shoulder.
At the same time, both of them were eyeing each other.
Actually, the painting is almost finished. Right now, Guangyou is looking at the painting to see if there are any details that need to be added.
Fortunately, the scene was simple, and the only thing that needed to be drawn was the window and the sunset view outside the window.
He didn't draw anything particularly good, but he did his best.
"Ai, how are you feeling?" Kōyū handed the notebook to Ai, a hint of satisfaction in his voice. "I feel alright."
"This painting is quite beautiful." Ai smiled and nodded after glancing at the painting.
Hearing a response that was completely different from before, Kōyū knew that the painting was still a success.
"Take this drawing back with you later." Kōyū handed the notebook to Ai, then got up and put away the colored pencils.
"Aren't you going to keep it?" Ai put the novel aside, picked up the notebook instead, looked at the painting, and had a smile in her eyes that she couldn't hide.
However, her expression was relatively calm, with only a slight upturn at the corners of her lips, suggesting she was in a good mood.
"You keep it, it doesn't matter whether either of us keeps it or not."
After putting away his colored pencils, Kōyū sat back down next to Ai. He was about to reach out and ruffle Ai's hair when he suddenly remembered that he had been coloring a drawing.
There are still traces of colored pencil on my hands; they look a bit dirty.
Realizing this, Kwangyu withdrew his hand.
"Take this painting back with you later," Kōyū said to Ai, getting up again. "Put it on your desk then."
"Okay." Ai didn't refuse anymore and nodded in agreement.
She really likes the painting, and it would be nice to take it back with her.
"I'll go out and wash my hands first."
"good."
After saying hello to Ai, Kōyū opened the door and left the room.
...
Inside the living room, Heiji Hattori and Conan were playing video games in front of the television.
"Conan, you lost again!" Heiji Hattori glanced at Conan sitting next to him with a smug grin.
He has played against Conan many times, and Conan has basically never won.
The few times he won, it was because he deliberately threw the game.
"Don't get cocky, let's play again." Conan, unaffected by Heiji Hattori, pressed the start button with a serious expression.
"Conan playing video games..." Kōyū stood there watching Conan fall behind, and also saw Hattori Heiji teasing Conan with a grin.
"I'm going to win again, Conan."
"Can you stop nagging and just focus on the game?"
Looking away, Guangyou couldn't help but mutter, "He's bad at the game but has a huge addiction."
After venting his frustrations, Guangyou went to the kitchen to wash his hands.
When he came out, Heiji Hattori and Conan had just finished a game.
Hearing the noise behind them, the two turned around and looked back.
Upon seeing that it was Kōyū behind him, Conan quickly called out to him, "Kōyū, come and play a game with Hattori, I'm a little tired."
"I think you've probably lost your mind." Kōyū couldn't help but chuckle as he saw Conan stand up and make room for him.
"Nonsense, I'm just a little tired from playing."
Conan said this with a calm expression.
It was as if he wasn't the one who had been frantically pressing the controller buttons because he was being abused.
"Tsk..." Kōyū didn't expose Conan.
In fact, it doesn't matter whether they expose him or not, because both he and Hattori Heiji can see that Conan is just being stubborn.
"Alright, then I'll play a game with Hattori." Kōyū deliberately turned up his voice, then walked to the TV, sat cross-legged on the floor, and picked up the controller.
