Chapter 829 Another Hypocritical Person

Ignoring Hattori Heiji, who often used police cars as taxis, Kōyū glanced at him and then pulled Ai upstairs.

Using a police car as a taxi—the only person Kōyū has ever seen who does this is Hattori Heiji.

Pushing open the door to the third floor, Kōyū immediately saw Uncle Mori sitting in the living room, reading a newspaper.

He looked up at Guangyou and the other person who walked in, then Uncle Mori looked down and flipped through a few more pages of the newspaper.

It seems there's nothing interesting left in the newspapers.

After flipping through a few pages, Uncle Mori slammed the newspaper on the table, pouted in disappointment, and muttered a complaint under his breath.

"I thought there would be a report about Ms. Yoko, what a disappointment."

After saying that, Uncle Mori looked up at Kousuke and the other two.

Seeing Uncle Mori put down his newspaper, Kōyū greeted him, "Uncle, we're back... Ran and the others are still behind us."

"Hmm." Uncle Mori didn't ask anything like "Did you have fun today?" He just nodded to Mitsuyu.

After standing up, he said to Guangyou, "Don't stay out too late, or it will disturb my sleep."

"No, Uncle." As Kou watched Uncle Mori walk into the room, the smile on his face suddenly turned into a helpless one.

He didn't think Uncle Mori was sitting in the living room late at night flipping through the newspaper just to read about Miss Yoko.

What Uncle Mori just said can be interpreted as: "Don't stay up too late."

As for the second half of the sentence, it doesn't really mean much.

If Uncle Mori could just express his true feelings directly, Eri Kisaki would probably have made up with him long ago.

"She's a hypocrite too," Ai sighed softly, knowing this herself.

"Ai, why did you say 'also'?" Kōyū grasped the key point in Ai's words and guessed something, but he still asked.

His tone was somewhat playful.

"I just wanted to say it." Ai didn't confess that the other person she had just thought of who was saying one thing but meaning another was herself, but she wouldn't say it.

Judging from the tone of Kousuke's voice, Ai knew that he had probably already guessed it.

Since she already guessed it, she decided not to say anything.

Anyway, Guangyou won't ask any further questions.

"Alright." As expected, Kōyū didn't press the matter. He gave Ai a meaningful look and smiled.

Behind her, Ran and Kazuha walked into the room.

"Uncle seems to be asleep already." Kazuha noticed that the surroundings were quiet and Uncle Mori's door was closed, so she quietly reminded everyone.

"Keep it down, don't disturb your uncle's sleep."

"I guess Uncle just went to sleep not long ago." Conan wrinkled his nose. There was a strong smell of beer in the air, as if it had just been left.

In the office, Uncle Mori is the only one who drinks.

It's obvious that Uncle Mori has only recently returned to his room.

The most likely explanation is that Uncle Mori has been waiting for them to return.

When he saw that Guangyou had returned, he went back to sleep.

"Yes, Conan is right." Heiji Hattori also smelled the beer in the air, and his deduction was similar to Conan's.

"No matter what, it's always better to keep our voices down." Kazuha didn't care about that; she was just worried about disturbing Uncle Mori's sleep.

I've already troubled others enough by staying here these past few days, and I feel bad if I disturb Uncle Mori's sleep any further.

"That's true." Conan put away his reasoning.

"Sister Ran, Ai and I are going to wash up first." Seeing that it was getting late, Kōyū wanted Ai to go and rest early.

"Mm." Xiaolan nodded.

"Go wash up first, I'll help you make the bed." After greeting Ran, Kōyū turned to Ai and whispered.

Without any formalities, Ai nodded and replied, "Okay."

As Ai walked towards the bathroom, Kōyū carried the bag back to his room, put the bag away, and then took the bedding into Ran's room.

After helping Ai make the bed, Kōyū left the room and smelled a fragrance.

He glanced over and saw that Conan and the others were eating instant noodles.

"Guangyou, are you hungry?" Xiaolan put down her bowl, looked up at Guangyou, and wanted to get up to make him a bowl as well.

"I'm not hungry," Guangyou waved his hand.

"There are a few buckets of instant noodles left in the kitchen. You can eat them if you're hungry." Xiaolan nodded and sat down again.

"Okay," Guangyou replied and sat down next to them.

"Xiao Lan, I'm going back tomorrow." Kazuha suddenly felt a little reluctant to part.

"I'll take you there tomorrow." Xiaolan was also a little reluctant, but after thinking about it, she figured it was easy to get from Tokyo to Osaka anyway.

If you want to play together, just go find the other person.

Since Kazuha came to see her this time, she can make time to visit Kazuha next time.

It only takes about two hours to get there, so even if you go on a weekend, there's enough time.

"Mm." Kazuha nodded in response.

"Before returning to Osaka, I'd like to visit Mr. Kusunoki at the hospital," Hattori Heiji said, swallowing the noodles in his mouth and looking up at the group.

"Go and see how Mr. Nanchuan is recovering, so you can give me an explanation when you get back."

"That's settled then." Kazuha nodded. She didn't have any plans for tomorrow anyway, and she had already accomplished her purpose in coming to Tokyo.

She came to Tokyo with Hattori Heiji for two main purposes:

One reason is that I want to go to a theme park.

Secondly, I wanted to go shopping with Xiaolan and buy some things.

She was eating noodles when she was thinking about what to do tomorrow, and Hattori Heiji's suggestion solved the problem.
