That feeling told him that this girl had something on her mind.
“Intuition is unreliable in many situations,” Ai replied, continuing to flip through the book.
Instead of discussing matters of intuition with Ai, Kōyū went straight to the point and asked her directly.
"Alright, Ai, just tell me, what made you throw a tantrum at me today?"
"I wasn't throwing a tantrum at you." Ai's tone was calm, but her words revealed a hint of arrogance.
"Do you think I don't know what you're thinking?" Guangyou said subconsciously. "Just tell me, what's the matter?"
"Since you already know what I'm thinking, there's no need for me to say anything." Ai flipped through the book, still not giving a direct answer.
"..." Kōyū was silent for a moment. He wanted to continue asking questions, but when he thought of Ai's behavior just now, he seemed to realize something.
He recalled every action he took and every word he uttered before and after hearing Ai's "humming" sound that afternoon.
After thinking for a few seconds, Guangyou felt that the possibility was still very high.
So he tentatively asked, "Ai, is it because of what I said earlier about 'being unreasonable'?"
"Looks like I don't need to answer anymore." After hearing Kouyu explain the reason, Ai closed the book, put it aside, and looked up at Kouyu.
"Did I often act 'unreasonably' towards you before?"
"No." Kōyū shook his head.
"Good to know." Ai didn't finish her sentence, giving Kousuke some time to think.
“That’s true…” Kōyū also felt that describing this behavior as “unreasonable” was somewhat inappropriate, especially for Ai.
If she had used a spoiled attitude or a little tantrum instead, it could probably have been avoided.
This was his mistake.
"Judging from your expression, you should have figured it out by now," Ai said, arms crossed.
"Hmm...but do you know why I said that?" Kōyū intended to just give a nod and be done with it, but then he suddenly had another idea.
"Why?" Ai asked, playing along with Kousuke.
"Because often, when girls act 'unreasonably,' they just want guys to coax them," Guangyou paused and explained, "and I like that feeling when I coax you."
"So, I quite like it when you're being 'unreasonable' to me."
"If I really act 'unreasonably' towards you in the future, how will you coax me?" Ai's calm expression wavered for a moment when she heard those words.
"I will coax you with my actions."
As he spoke, Kōyū reached out and pulled Ai into his arms, leaning close to her ear and whispering, "Just like this."
