(PS: For the early chapters, please don't take it too seriously...
If classified purely by type, they are generally divided into: murders due to conflict, murders for revenge, murders without purpose, and murders of passion.
The motive for entanglement-related murders is emotional entanglement, including but not limited to crimes of passion.
Revenge killing, as the name suggests, is an act of striking back at someone for something that happened in the past, ultimately resulting in the death of the other party.
Purposeless killings are often driven by emotional venting. Since the target can be generalized, there are single-target and group killings.
Crimes of passion are acts resulting from emotional breakdown caused by stressful environmental changes.
In fact, there are many more subcategories, and there may be omissions, but these categories generally cover most of the motives for murder.
If Fukuura Reiji is indeed the murderer, then he must meet one or more of the criteria.
A crime of passion?
Judging from the current situation, Fukuura Reiji and Tendo Haruka are quite close and are probably a couple. Their relationship seems to be quite good.
While watching the fireworks from the mountaintop, Reiji Fukuura put his arm around Haruka Tendo's shoulder.
Haruka Tendo also apologized to him on behalf of Reiji Fukuura.
Throughout the entire day, Guangyou didn't see the two of them argue at all; things remained harmonious.
The relationship doesn't seem extremely close, but it's not bad either.
Reiji Fukuura and Yasumi Shirafuji are just friends. They joke around like friends, but there is no indication that there is any romantic relationship between them.
Moreover, in terms of both looks and interpersonal skills, Shirafuji Yasumi is inferior to Tendo Haruka.
The latter isn't exceptionally beautiful, but with the help of makeup, she's quite pretty.
If she were in a school, she would be considered a class beauty, and she would definitely have no shortage of suitors.
As for Shirafuji Yasumi...
She has an average appearance; even with makeup, her looks aren't improved much.
Most importantly, the two have significant differences in their interpersonal skills and conduct.
Previously, Shirafuji Yasumi always talked about money, and Tendo Haruka even came over to apologize to him.
The difference in quality is immediately apparent!
Perhaps Kōyū's understanding of them is not comprehensive, but based on their interactions throughout the day, Tōten Haruka is the clear winner in both looks and personality.
This is not a multiple-choice question; it's a vision test.
In that case, we can rule out a crime of passion for now.
Revenge can also be ruled out, since there's no indication that the two have any deep-seated hatred for each other on this particular day.
It's even more impossible that he had no ulterior motive. Fukuura Reiji just has a bad temper and isn't very good at talking; he doesn't seem like a serial killer.
It's not impossible for someone to lose control of their emotions, but the prerequisite for losing control of emotions is that Reiji Fukuura herself has a condition similar to manic-depressive disorder.
This caused him to be mentally sensitive, irritable, and extremely aggressive.
Or it could be due to a heated argument leading to an emotional breakdown.
If he had a similar illness, then Fukuura Reiji should have shown it when asked for his alibi earlier.
Since he doesn't have it, and neither have Iihe Takuto and the others mentioned that he has a similar disease, then the first possibility can be ruled out.
As for the heated argument...
During the afternoon activities, everyone stayed near the campsite and didn't go far. Unless the two deliberately avoided each other, they would likely have been seen by others.
Furthermore, according to the method of the crime deduced by Conan, Fukuura Reiji would have to move the body to the roof of the campervan.
If they deliberately avoid it, and then Fukuura Reiji kills Shirafuji Yasumi during an argument, moving the body to the roof of the car would be a significant problem.
It's easy to get caught if you're not careful.
Moreover, moving the body onto the roof of the vehicle wouldn't be quick either.
Regardless of the motive, Fukuura Reiji doesn't quite fit the bill.
However, all the clues discovered so far point to him.
This is something that deserves serious consideration.
Perhaps, Fukuura Reiji was actually a scapegoat pushed out by the criminals.
The clues they have found so far were all deliberately left behind by the perpetrator in order to mislead them into thinking that Fukuura Reiji was the murderer.
Gazing at the night view of the town in the distance, Guangyou frowned slightly, thinking to himself:
"If that's the case, then it's double insurance."
"First, stage an accident scene. If you can successfully get the police to close the case as an accident, that would be ideal."
"But if the police find out that it was not an accident, but a carefully planned murder, then Fukuura Reiji, the scapegoat, can be put to use."
Thinking of this, Guangyou couldn't help but sigh, "What a cunning scheme."
If the police were to investigate, they might actually be fooled by the murderer.
"It's right here!" Ayumi's voice pulled Kōyū's thoughts, which had drifted into the night sky, back to reality.
"This is the place where you can see fireworks from the car!" Ayumi looked at the night view in front of her and a smile appeared on her face.
"It's so beautiful!"
"Hmm." Ai glanced at Kousuke beside her, then smiled slightly.
Kōyū didn't see her smile; he was preoccupied with what Ayumi had just said.
"This is where we just opened the skylight..."
Just as Guangyou was thinking, a gust of evening wind lifted the hem of his clothes.
As if a switch had been flipped by chance, a possibility immediately surfaced in Guangyou's mind.
After mentally simulating the situation for a moment, Kōyū's furrowed brows relaxed as he pondered, and a smile appeared on his lips.
"If this can be found, then it can be proven."
His idea has not yet been proven, but barring any unforeseen circumstances, it will be proven soon.
"Ai, I'm going to look for something nearby," Kōyū said to Ai, snapping out of his reverie.
