Chapter 950 Impatient Conan

Seeing Conan staring at the spot where Kousuke had just been sitting, Ran explained on Kousuke's behalf, "Those two went out for some fresh air. Conan, is there something you need?"

"This guy..." Conan mentally complained about Kouyu abandoning his teammates and running away, but outwardly he pointed to the living room door.

He had just finished coughing, so he naturally knew to avoid talking to prevent himself from coughing again.

Then Xiaolan would tell him to rest well and not to run around.

He won't be able to go to the crime scene then.

"You mean you also want to go out for some fresh air?" Ran looked in the direction Conan was pointing and asked uncertainly.

"Hmm." Conan nodded and responded with a nasal tone.

"Alright then." Ran thought for a moment and figured that Conan had nothing to do here, and the case was definitely not related to him, so she nodded in agreement.

Just like when Guangyou and the other said they were going to get some fresh air, Xiaolan said with concern, "Then don't go too far, it's already so late."

However, his concern for Conan is somewhat different from his concern for Mitsuyu and the other two.

For example, because of Conan's throat problem, Ran said after saying the previous sentence:

"Conan, your throat hurts, so try to talk less for a while, okay?"

"Hmm." Conan nodded.

He knew this, and he would try his best to speak less or not at all during this time.

Then, Xiaolan recalled something that had happened when she encountered cases before, and added:

"Conan, you can go out for some fresh air, but please don't disturb the police investigation, and don't go upstairs, understand?"

"Okay, I understand!" Conan nodded readily, basically agreeing just seconds after Ran finished speaking.

But his rejection was just as decisive in his heart.

It's impossible for him not to go to the scene; there's no way he wouldn't go.

He didn't want to go out for some fresh air; he simply wanted to solve this murder case disguised as a suicide and catch the killer.

Only in this way can he be completely at ease, and the truth be revealed to the deceased Akashi Tsuyoshi.

Other things are easy to talk about, but this kind of thing...

I can only apologize.

He couldn't resist that temptation.

The truth seemed to be beckoning to him from the crime scene, calling out, "Come find me!"

He's getting a little anxious now:

He was eager to go to the crime scene to confirm his theory;

Eager to uncover the inside story hidden behind this case;

They were eager to catch the murderer.

They were eager to reveal the truth about the deceased Akashi Hisao...

...

"Then go ahead," Ran said, seeing that Conan had agreed. "Remember not to go too far, to talk as little as possible, and not to go to the scene."

"Hmm." Conan responded with a nasal sound, then quickly turned and jogged away from the living room, heading straight for the second floor.

...

Second floor, the crime scene.

There were also two police officers at the scene of the crime.

Upon seeing that it was Kōyū and his companion who entered, instead of Yamamura Misao who had gone down to ask questions, one of the younger officers asked, "What's wrong?"

"It's nothing." Guangyou smiled at the two officers and said, "Officer Yamamura asked us to check the situation."

He had already thought of his reasons when he came up.

Barring any unforeseen circumstances, they should be able to successfully observe the deceased's oral cavity.

"What situation do you want to confirm?" The two officers were somewhat confused about what Guangyou meant by that.

"I don't know either." Guangyou shook his head and shrugged, looking innocent, and said, "Officer Yamamura asked us to come and take a look at the place where that person's mouth is bleeding."

"That person" of course refers to the deceased Akashi Takeo.

"All right."

Although the police officer who asked the question was puzzled as to why his superior had asked Guangyou and the other person to come over and confirm the situation, he did as he was told.

"Perhaps Officer Yamamura is unavailable for the time being?"

That's what he thinks.

Clearly, the other officer had the same idea.

After exchanging a glance, the older officer said to Guangyou, "Alright then, but you two can't touch it. Just tell us where you want to go."

"Okay, thank you both, uncles." Guangyou nodded and thanked them.

He just wanted to take a look and confirm his suspicions; whether he touched it or not didn't really matter.

At this point, Kousuke's task was perfectly completed, and it was Ai's turn to appear.

However, Mitsuyu still accompanied Ai to the body and squatted down, saying on her behalf, "We want to see what's inside this person's mouth."

The officer nodded, put his gloved hand into Akashi Yano's slightly open mouth, and opened his mouth a little more.

The room light shone into Akashi Yano's mouth.

Since the extracted molar was the front one, it was easy to see clearly even without a flashlight or similar equipment, thanks to the light.

Ai drew a conclusion after just one glance at that spot, and then gently squeezed Kyou's hand.

Upon receiving the signal, Guangyou said, "We've checked it out. Thank you, uncles. I'll tell Officer Yamamura."

"It's nothing." The older officer smiled. "We should thank you both for helping us solve the case."

He was thinking that Officer Yamamura was busy downstairs and couldn't leave for the time being, so Officer Yamamura asked these two to come up and help.

Although the officer's thinking contained many errors, the final result was almost the same.

Solving this case would indeed help Yamamura Misao, but Yamamura Misao didn't ask Mitsuyu and the other person to come up and help.
