"Let's go back to the living room first." After saying that, Guangyou took Xiaoai's hand and went downstairs to the living room.
Everything on the second floor has been taken care of. Now, the task at hand is to let everyone know the truth behind this case.
Following the usual pattern, Conan will likely find a secluded corner where no one can see him, put Uncle Mori to sleep, and then put on a "deduction show."
Conan has lost his voice for a short time and cannot use the voice changer.
The plan ended before it even began.
There are solutions, and more than one.
The first method is the one Conan came up with: expressing the information they know through gestures and body language.
Let Uncle Mori and the others interpret it themselves, and then deduce the truth step by step.
This method has drawbacks; if it is misunderstood, it will deviate significantly from the truth.
A more reliable method is the second one: Kōyū replaces Conan, anesthetizes Uncle Mori, and then uses the voice changer to deduce the truth.
The method is indeed good and reliable, and there is virtually no chance of errors.
The problem is that Kwang-yu doesn't want to play the role of "behind-the-scenes detective".
Therefore, only the first method remains.
But it's alright, Guangyou can remind him from the side.
As long as he sees that everyone's interpretation has deviated from the truth, he can come out and talk about his "conjecture" to bring the reasoning back on track.
"A detective I can trust..." Conan watched as Kousuke pushed open the living room door and glanced around the room.
The unreliable Uncle Mori, Ran and Sonoko (both non-professionals), and the "rookie police officer" Misao Yamamura.
"..." Conan suddenly felt a bit pressured, thinking, "Can these people really read my hand gestures?"
Conan twitched his lips as he recalled Kōyū's deliberate misinterpretation earlier.
"We're back." Kōyū walked into the living room, greeted everyone, and pulled Ai to sit in his previous seat.
After pouring himself and Ai a cup of tea and taking a small sip, Kousuke said to Ran, "Ran-neechan, Conan can't speak right now."
"Hmm?" Ran glanced at Kousuke after hearing this, then turned her gaze to Conan.
Feeling Ran's gaze, Conan gave an awkward smile, as if he could get away with it that way.
"Really!" Xiaolan frowned slightly, her beautiful eyebrows furrowing as she said with displeasure, "Didn't I tell you that you shouldn't talk if you have a sore throat?"
"He's so disobedient." Guangyou, always eager for drama, nodded in agreement and said, "He definitely needs to be taught a lesson."
As he spoke, Guangyou raised his hand and made a clapping motion.
The lesson learned is self-evident.
"..." Conan looked at Kouyu's expectant face and was speechless.
"In short, this case seems quite simple," Uncle Mori said, looking at Yamamura Misao who kept asking questions.
"Mr. Akashi Takeo, who was in his bedroom on the second floor, died around 7:30 p.m.
"Everyone else was in the living room at the time, except for me who went to take a bath, so I have a complete alibi..."
“We did not know Mr. Akashi Takao before, let alone have any conflict with him, so we had no motive to kill him.”
"There was no way to prepare a rope for Mr. Yan Fu to hang himself."
“That’s right, that’s correct.” Yamamura Misao glanced down at the notebook containing case information and nodded in agreement.
"Furthermore, the lights in the room were on an hour and a half before the body was discovered, but were turned off when it was found."
"Based on the information we have so far, they are all suicides."
"So I think you should either look for any more clues, or just consider it suicide."
"That's true." Yamamura Misao put away his notebook, turned around, and prepared to leave the living room to continue searching for clues.
Seeing this, Akashi Hiroto's face remained expressionless, but a hint of joy flashed in his eyes, and his body seemed to relax a little.
"No, it's not suicide!" Conan was getting anxious. If Yamamura Misao didn't find any clues and treated the case as a suicide, it would be too late.
This gives the murderer ample time to deal with the traces left at the scene.
As for the body, if an autopsy is performed, some traces should be found.
However, this was based on Akashi Hiroto's consent to the dissection.
The truth is that Hiroto Akashi could never agree to an autopsy, and his reasons were nothing more than "I want my father to rest in peace as soon as possible."
If the police classify the case as a suicide, the evidence is cleaned up, and the body is cremated.
The truth hidden behind this case is like a coin sunk into the Mariana Trench; it's virtually impossible to find.
He wouldn't just stand by and watch that happen.
"But I can't speak right now, do I really have to use gestures to remind me?"
Thinking of this, Conan glanced at Kouyu and saw Kouyu shake his head at him.
"Alright then, now that things have come to this, there's nothing we can do but trouble ourselves." Seeing that Kouyu wasn't going to help him deduce, Conan had no choice but to step in himself.
Although explaining things clearly with gestures is troublesome and could be misinterpreted, it's currently the only method available.
"The 'Sleeping Kogoro' mystery show is over," said Kōyū, picking up his teacup, blowing on it, and taking a sip.
"However, we can see Conan's hand gesture deductions, which should be very exciting. It's a pity there's no popcorn here..."
Expressing meaning through gestures depends not only on the person making the gestures, but also on the person understanding them.
