Chapter 96 The Egg of Memories

Shiro Suzuki's private office was very luxuriously decorated, and the police also sent two officers to guard the office door for security.

Upon entering, you'll see strong Egyptian-style decorations on both sides. In the center of the room is a sofa, behind which is a huge floor-to-ceiling window with a very nice view.

When Suzuki Shiro, who was sitting on the sofa, noticed the group of people entering, his face was full of smiles: "Mr. Mori! Thank you for coming all this way."

"Not at all," Uncle Mori replied with a genuine smile.

Every time the Suzuki family asks Uncle Mori for help, they give him a large sum of money. Even if they don't give him money, Uncle Mori will still come to help. It's good to be familiar with him so that things will go smoothly. Besides, Ran and Sonoko are childhood friends.

"Ran, Kouyu and Conan are here too?" Suzuki Shiro said with a smile. He remembered that Sonoko had been talking about them to him a lot lately.

When Suzuki Shiro saw Ai, Hattori, and Kazuha, he asked Sonoko, "Sonoko, who are these two and this little girl?"

“These are Heiji Hattori and Kazuha Toyama, and this little girl is Mitsuyu’s good friend.” Sonoko introduced the three of them. “This Heiji Hattori is a high school detective who can be compared to Shinichi Kudo.”

Upon hearing Sonoko's mention, Suzuki Shiro also remembered the famous high school detective in Kansai, and his face lit up with a smile: "That's great, thank you all for your help this time."

Hattori didn't treat Suzuki Shiro as a rich man, but simply as an ordinary old man, and said with a smile, "Leave it to me, old man."

Japanese titles are very strict. When Uncle Mori reprimanded Hattori for calling Suzuki Shiro "old man," he said, "Kid, how dare you call Chairman Suzuki 'old man'!"

Shiro Suzuki was very easygoing, and his smile remained unchanged as he waved his hand, saying, "It's alright, Mr. Mori. It's been a long time since a stranger called me 'old man,' and I've been missing it a bit!"

After Mori finished his introduction, Suzuki Shiro, as the host, introduced the other people sitting on the sofa.

"This is Sirruov Chinnikov, First Secretary of the Russian Embassy."

A burly man who was introduced stood up and greeted everyone. This Sireuf's Japanese was quite good.

"This is the art dealer I found, Mr. Gan Jiangyi."

Gan Jiangyi also stood up and gestured to the crowd, but did not speak.

"I thought it was Pu Siqinglan, a researcher of the Romanov dynasty."

Pu Siqinglan stood up and greeted everyone. Surprisingly, this beautiful woman spoke Chinese.

Guangyou shook his head and did not speak.

"What's wrong?" Ai asked, puzzled when she saw Kousuke shaking his head. She couldn't see anything amiss.

Guangyou said in a voice that could only be heard by the two of them, "This person is not from China, his Chinese is terrible."

"They might be of Chinese descent?" This is not an uncommon situation.

Guangyou shook his head again: "There is no compound surname called Pusi in China."

Ai trusted Kousuke a lot, so since he said it wasn't true, then it wasn't: "Then should we tell Conan?"

Ran was standing nearby, and Ai noticed that she usually called Kudo "Kudo".

Guangyou sighed: "I won't tell him. Let him handle it himself. He'll have to face it sooner or later. Let's just treat this as a trip."

"Mr. Hanchuan Long, a freelance film writer."

Hanchuan Long picked up the camera, greeted the crew, and began filming Uncle Mori.

Uncle Mori asked, "How much do they charge for their appraisals?"

The desire in the eyes of the art dealer was self-evident: "Eight hundred million yuan."

"What? Eight hundred million?" Uncle Mori's eyes widened in astonishment at the treasure's value of eight hundred million.

Art dealer Gan Jiangyi continued, "If you're willing to sell, I can raise the price a bit more."

For an ordinary person, 800 million is already a very high price, and most people would definitely sell this treasure without hesitation.

Eight hundred million yuan—as long as you don't do anything reckless, the money will only keep growing.

There's a saying in the business world: getting your first million is hard, but getting your second million is much easier.

Unfortunately, Suzuki Shiro is not an ordinary person. Eight hundred million yen is enough for an ordinary person to live a good life, but for Suzuki Shiro, eight hundred million yen is nothing. He wouldn't even frown if something of that price broke.

Sireuf, standing to the side, looked somewhat agitated: "President! This item is from Russia. If we're going to sell it to this kind of short-sighted black market, we might as well send it to our Russian Art Museum for safekeeping."

Upon hearing this, Sireuf and Ganjiang were about to start arguing.

Han Chuanlong didn't mind at all, and chuckled: "Taking pictures of people is more fun than taking pictures of eggs."

He put down the camera, stood up, and said to Pu Siqinglan beside him, "What do you mean by standing there looking completely uninterested? As a researcher of the Romanov dynasty, shouldn't you be the most interested?"

Pu Siqing frowned slightly and turned her head to the side: "That's right, but I don't have 800 million yuan on me."

“That’s true.” Han Chuanlong rubbed his forehead. “Even I can only scrape together two hundred million.”

This statement is full of arrogance. It shows that Hanchuan Long is out of his mind to speak to Suzuki Shiro in this tone. It's only because Suzuki Shiro has a good temper that Hanchuan Long would be saying goodbye. If it were Kousuke, Hanchuan Long would probably be gone.

The atmosphere in the four-person room was tense, and Conan was also a little curious about what kind of treasure could make these people so eager.

Shiro Suzuki stepped in to smooth things over: "Let's talk about the egg another day."
