Chapter 98 Elegance and Method

As the sun set, Uncle Mori and Shiro Suzuki chatted happily in the art museum. Shiro Suzuki suggested going to a restaurant for a meal, because according to Uncle Mori's deduction, Kid wouldn't arrive until 3 a.m. the next morning.

There's still a long time until 3 o'clock, so we can't just wait around. Wouldn't it be great to grab a bite to eat and chat some more?

Uncle Mori readily agreed, and the two would inevitably have some drinks during their meal, which was exactly what Uncle Mori wanted.

At that moment, Nakamori Ginzo and his two subordinates walked in: "Chairman, it's almost done."

Shiro Suzuki nodded and thanked Ginzo Nakamori for his help.

Nakamori Ginzo stepped forward and picked up the box containing the Egg of Memories.

Uncle Mori asked, "What's wrong? Should we move it to the showroom?"

"It's fake."

Nakamori Ginzo's answer left Uncle Mori somewhat puzzled.

Nakamori Ginzo explained, "In the past, we were always honest and stupid, placing our prey in places he knew about. That's why Kidd succeeded."

"But this time, we plan to confuse the issue and make it impossible for Kidd to find us."

Uncle Mori tapped his palm: "I see. So, where should we put it?"

“I absolutely cannot tell you,” Nakamori Ginzo said sternly. “This secret is known only to me and my two subordinates.”

“Of course it’s those two.” Nakamori Ginzo said, walking up to his two subordinates and forcefully pulling at their faces to make sure they weren’t in disguise. “Those two could absolutely not be Kid in disguise!”

Uncle Mori stood up and pinched Nakamori Ginzo's face hard, his reason perfectly valid: "Because you could also be Kid in disguise!"

The two subordinates behind Nakamori Ginzo suppressed their laughter, looking up as if they hadn't seen anything.

A little sore from being pinched, Nakamori Ginzo also had a bit of a temper and pinched Mori's face back: "Then, you might also be Kid in disguise!"

And so, the two men, soon to be middle-aged, engaged in a fierce face-pinching battle in Shiro Suzuki's office.

Sitting on the sofa, Shiro Suzuki was somewhat taken aback by the childishness of the two men.

However, they were unaware that a snow-white pigeon was watching from outside one of the office windows. Upon closer inspection, it appeared that the pigeon had a sound-receiving device on its leg.

The stars twinkled in the night sky. Conan and Hattori returned to the art museum. They weren't interested in shopping, but Kousuke said he wanted to wander around outside for a while longer.

At the entrance of the art museum, a brown-haired woman said to Masato Nishino, "Hello, my name is Natsumi Kosaka, and this is Mr. Sawabe, the butler."

After introducing the two, Natsumi Kosaka took out something that looked like a brochure and said, "Regarding the Emperor's Easter Egg mentioned in the introduction, we have some things we'd like to explain to the president."

Suzuki Shiro had already gone to the restaurant with Uncle Mori. Nishino Masato said apologetically, "Unfortunately, the chairman is out. If you don't mind, you can talk to me."

Natsumi Kosaka's matter seemed very urgent and important. She insisted on speaking to Shiro Suzuki in person and asked Masato Nishino if he could get through to Shiro Suzuki by phone.

Aside from Conan glancing at her, Hattori didn't pay any attention to Natsumi Kosaka.

He subconsciously raised his hand to look at his watch, and said with some surprise, "This is interesting. If 3 a.m. is L, then it looks a bit like 'he' now. It's 7:13 now, and it will look even more like 'he' at 7:20."

Hattori found it somewhat interesting, but Conan had been thinking about the announcement letter the whole way, and the image in his mind was very clear. Suddenly, an idea struck him, and he quickly called out to Hattori, "Hattori, Kid's announcement time isn't 3 a.m., but 7:20 p.m.!"

After saying that, he dropped his bag, picked up his skateboard, and prepared to go to Osaka Castle. Conan instructed Hattori to protect the egg.

At that moment, a drop of water hit Hattori's face, and his mind seemed to click instantly. He caught up with Conan and exclaimed, "The Sky Pavilion isn't the Sky Tower! It's the Tsutenkaku Tower!"

"Tsutenkaku?" Conan quickly slammed on the brakes and turned around to hear Hattori's explanation.

Hattori said confidently, "The top of Tsutenkaku is used to predict the weather!"

...

Meanwhile, at the top of Tongtian Pavilion

A pigeon flapped its wings and flew to a person, landing gently on the person's fingertip. The person wore a white hat, a monocle, a white coat, and white gloves. This person was none other than Phantom Thief Kid.

Kidd untied the microphone from the pigeon's leg, grinned, and then stood atop the Babel Tower and called out, "Ladies and gentlemen!"

He was in a very high place, and the people below only vaguely heard the sound, so they didn't pay attention.

He murmured, "The show is about to begin."

"You're really quite the show-off."

The sudden question surprised Kaito Kid. He turned around and looked at him, then breathed a sigh of relief: "Why are you here too?"

A person wearing a red robe and a mask appeared beside him at some point.

"By the way, Kousuke, how did you know I was here?" Kid felt that his plan shouldn't have been discovered so easily, otherwise Conan would have arrived long ago.

Guangyou laughed and said, "Your code was too obvious. How could I not know it?"

"You're not going to stop me, are you?" Kidd was a little scared of Kyou, fearing that he might suddenly decide to stop him.

Guangyou didn't really have that idea. After all, Kidd wasn't committing murder or arson, and he wasn't just bored. He was just there to watch the show.

"That's good." Kidd breathed a sigh of relief knowing that Kyou wouldn't cause trouble.
