The Meaning of Chapter 700

After washing the dishes, Ai returned to the basement.

As soon as Ai returned to the basement, she saw Kōyū sitting in a chair, holding a piece of paper covered with pictures.

It looks like a painting.

"Are you drawing?" Ai sat down in the chair and looked at the paper with some curiosity.

“Yes.” Kōyū didn’t care that Ai saw the painting, so he handed it to her so she could see it clearly.

Taking the drawing paper and looking at the drawing, Ai paused for a moment, then turned to look at the teddy bear on her bedside table.

This seems to be the scene from when he gave her the bear.

The moment Ai saw the painting, she remembered that day.

The anticipation before opening a gift, the joy of opening it...

A myriad of emotions welled up from the depths of my heart.

"Why did you suddenly want to draw this?" Ai turned to look at Kousuke and asked.

"While you were washing the dishes, I wanted to draw something meaningful to pass the time," Guangyou said frankly, without hiding anything.

"So you drew that bear?" Ai asked, looking down at the drawing.

“No, I painted the scene of giving the bear away. You should be able to tell.” Kwang-yu glanced at the bear on the bedside table, then looked back at the painting and said with a smile.

"So, this scene is meaningful..." Ai said softly, but did not deliberately avoid Kousuke.

He naturally heard those words.

“The bear itself has no inherent meaning; it is we who imbue it with meaning.” Guangyou’s voice was gentle. “It is precisely because I gave it to you that it has its own meaning. Compared to the bear itself, the act of giving it away is of course more meaningful.”

"Hmm." Ai nodded, her gaze softening as she looked at the painting.

“Actually, there are many more meaningful scenes,” Mitsuyu sighed regretfully, “but I can’t draw them.”

"Why?" Ai asked instinctively.

"Because I feel that every minute and every second I spend with you is meaningful." Guangyou spread his hands and said with a little helplessness, "I can't possibly draw every single minute and every second I spend with you, can I? I could never finish drawing them even if I worked myself to death."

"I think it's a good idea." Ai looked up at Kousuke, hesitated for a moment, and said softly, "This way, you won't go out and mess around."

Hearing this, Guangyou perked up and teased, "Hmm? Are you worried that I'll go out and find other girls?"

"No..." Ai replied hesitantly.

Actually, she was just worried that Guangyou would come back with a lot of injuries after he went out. After all, such things had happened before, so it was normal for her to be worried.

But after Guangyou teased her like that, she felt that she was indeed a little worried that Guangyou would be misled by outsiders and leave her.

Seeing Ai's hesitation, Kōyū moved his chair closer to her, placed his hand on her shoulder, and said softly, "Don't worry, my heart is small, and it can only hold you in this lifetime."

Life is long, but talking about a lifetime is too far-fetched and too abstract.

But most girls just like these kinds of vague statements.

If you asked an honest person the same question, they would probably say, "Don't worry, it won't happen. Don't overthink it. Right now, you're the only one in my heart."

in this case...

No, in any situation, after hearing this, those girls would say, "Oh? You only have me in your heart now, but maybe there will be a second or a third in the future?"

The situation deteriorated instantly.

As for straight men...

They probably wouldn't notice the girl's emotional changes.

Getting back to the main point, in Guangyou's view, Ai's past experiences made her feel very insecure.

Saying some vague words in an appropriate situation can give her this sense of security.

Such words should be spoken sparingly, or even avoided altogether.

In fact, Kōyū's words had a pretty good effect, and Ai felt much more at ease after hearing them.

She decided to believe what Guangyou said.

"Don't overthink it," Guangyou said, ruffling her hair.

"Mmm," Ai replied, her tone returning to normal.

Upon realizing this, a smile appeared on Guangyou's face.

After the two finished talking about this topic, Guangyou suddenly thought of something, took a piece of white paper from the side, and started drawing on it.

"What are you drawing again?" Ai leaned closer and glanced at the paper, but couldn't make out what he was drawing.

"You'll find out soon enough," Guangyou said, keeping everyone in suspense.

This time the drawing wasn't too complicated, and I quickly produced a rough draft.

It was in front of a claw machine. A boy leaned his head close to the girl next to him, looked at her, and smiled.

Seeing these reminded Ai of the day she tried to win a claw machine at the amusement park.

"Hehe, it's a holiday today." Guangyou said, looking down as he continued drawing, as if giving a hint.

"Yeah, so I gave you chocolate," Ai replied, pretending not to understand.

Seeing that Kōyū still wanted to say something, Ai quickly found an excuse to leave: "I saw you put the chocolate up there, so I went to get it for you."

"Bang!"

Hearing the door close, Kwang-woo smiled helplessly.

Keep drawing.

Not long after, Ai returned to the basement with the gift box containing the chocolates.

At this point, Guangyou had already completed the draft and was preparing to trace the outline.

"Your chocolate." Ai placed the chocolate aside, sat down in a chair, and prepared to continue her research. "I'm starting my research now."
