In this prime of youth, Qian Xi does not regret meeting Chen Wenzhi at all.
The heartless top student x the dedicated, shy little sweetheart.
In the past, it seemed he never cared about...
In the days that followed, Gu Xinan benefited greatly from being Chen Wenzhi's former classmate. Although Ying Qian would occasionally make things difficult for him, he would always jokingly say, "You poisonous woman! How dare you plot against me!"
Ying Qian simply laughed it off.
There are still physical education classes in the second year of high school.
Aside from the homeroom teacher, the oldest teacher in Class 1 of the humanities stream is just approaching thirty. They are relatively open-minded and each one is more eager than the last to take up a class.
Life went on uneventfully, and before we knew it, it was the end of November, on an incredibly peaceful Thursday morning.
What drew everyone's attention was a scream from the student by the window: "It's snowing!"
Upon hearing this, everyone turned to look outside.
The first snow in S City really did fall on the campus, just as Chen Wenzhi had said.
The math teacher, who was teaching a class, asked everyone, "Shall we go downstairs and join the fun?"
At No. 3 Middle School, when it snows lightly, students on the first floor will definitely go out for a run. This depends on the students' wishes; those who want to go out will run around, while those who don't want to stay in the classroom to read.
Most people witnessed this scene in their first year of high school, rushing out of the classroom in a swarm after obtaining permission from their math teacher.
The usually lifeless senior high school building was now filled with laughter and endless exclamations.
They said, "This isn't snow, this isn't winter, this is our spring!"
Ying Qian was at a loss.
Everyone in the class ran away.
Gu Xinan didn't run away, and Ying Qian asked in confusion, "Why didn't you go with them?"
"It's boring." He pursed his lips and said, "I went to No. 3 Middle School. Every year when it first snowed, I would run outside. It's so boring."
"Then move aside, I want to see the snow. When I was little, we moved to another city, and it rarely snows there." She nudged Gu Xinan.
Hearing her say that, he seemed to pause for a few seconds, then changed his mind: "Then let's go together!"
Seeing Ying Qian's strange look, he scratched the back of his head. "If I don't go, I'll seem so out of place! And it would be so awkward if I were the only one left in the class."
Even when most people had left, there were still quite a few people blocking the stairwell.
Finally, after some pushing and shoving, they all went down.
There are still two classes on the first floor, really... tsk tsk tsk.
Gu Xinan crossed her arms and, like a gossipy old woman, whispered in Ying Qian's ear, "This is all an act! Oh my, with so many people shouting in front of the teaching building, it's no wonder these two classes can't even have a proper lesson!"
Ying Qian chuckled, "If they want to go to class, they can go. Whether they can get in or not is their business."
"I think it's just about pushing for monthly sales targets at the end of the month," he said, waving his hand.
The snow fell heavier and heavier, landing on the dark heads, turning their black hair white.
Ying Qian reached out and touched the snowflakes. The snowflakes melted on her fingertips, and her eyes shone brightly.
Seeing her naive and unsophisticated appearance, Gu Xinan stood aside and laughed heartily.
This scene was witnessed by someone with ulterior motives, who then harbored hostility.
Shen Yun had just calmed down when he jogged over to find Ying Qian: "Sister Ying Qian!"
"Heartbroken!"
They held hands and chatted for a while.
Although they lived on the same floor, they rarely saw each other due to their intense study and living conditions.
Ying Qian wasn't a class monitor, and she wouldn't be running to the office every few days, so there was no chance to meet her.
She was inexplicably pushed by the crowd to the door of Class 1. Gu Xinan was gone, and Shen Yun was nowhere to be seen either. She curiously glanced inside Class 1 and saw what was happening there.
Several students were engrossed in writing their questions.
All she knew was that Chen Wenzhi must have come out.
She stood in the aisle in front of the classroom, timidly catching snowflakes with her hands.
It's very noisy around here.
He heard a very cold voice: "Are you happy?"
Before Ying Qian could react, a scarf was wrapped around her exposed, fair, and slender neck, keeping her warm. She gave a sweet smile.
"Prince, attacking from behind is still a very rudimentary tactic."
Chen Wenzhi stared at her face, which was red from the cold, and then his gaze shifted to her earlobes. He reminded her helplessly, "You need to keep warm. I think your ears are going to get frostbite sooner or later."
"Don't curse me, Chen Wenzhi!" She shrank her neck and stood obediently next to him. "I heard that frostbite is really uncomfortable, and it happens every year."
"Yes, that's true." Chen Wenzhi responded softly.
With him around, I feel much safer.
However, she still didn't want to squeeze into the crowd and cheer with them for the arrival of the first snow. She simply stood beside the person she liked and quietly admired the snow scene.
"You gave me the scarf, what are you going to do now?" she asked, tilting her head.
He shook his head. "I don't need it." He then tugged at Ying Qian's coat, which, though beautiful, wasn't very warm, and frowned. "You should take care of yourself. Dressing up is useless; staying warm is the most important thing."
Her little scheme was exposed.
Ying Qian laughed and shamelessly retorted, "That's so you can keep things fresh with me every day~"
Chen Wenzhi tilted his head. "So you learned sweet talk from Gu Xinan?"
"Then I've truly learned from Gu Xinan!" She pointed to her face. "My skin is now thicker than a city wall! And my tongue has become much sweeter too!"
Upon hearing her say that he had a sweet tongue, Chen Wenzhi's first reaction was to want to try it. Realizing that his idea was wrong, he quickly stopped himself and said with feigned modesty, "That's good."
"You haven't improved much lately!" Ying Qian poked his chest restlessly. "You speak so rudely. Didn't you make one of the girls in our class cry the other day?"
