I'm Numb! Stop Spoiling the Slow-Burning Top Student!

In this prime of youth, Qian Xi does not regret meeting Chen Wenzhi at all.

The heartless top student x the dedicated, shy little sweetheart.

In the past, it seemed he never cared about...

Chapter Forty-Nine: Sweat

Although it was a sports meet, everyone's life was as usual. The marching team skipped the morning reading session, while the rest of the students were reciting their lessons in class.

No one in Class 3 complained; they were just hoping for more time to memorize their lessons.

Ying Qian was lazy and unreliable, and she was absent-minded when reciting her lessons.

Chen Wenzhi and Ren Yi were not there, and even Shen Yun had left.

She was so lonely! She could only listen to the birds chirping outside the window, from morning till night, but she never knew what kind of birds they were.

Chen Wenzhi often said he would introduce her to someone.

She covered her ears and said, "Annoying, I don't want to hear it."

Now I'd like to hear his introduction.

*

It's absolutely true that Chen Wenzhi has many female fans.

The leader of the class's formation was Chen Wenzhi, and the entire second-year high school students were thrilled when he appeared.

"Wow! As expected of Chen Wenzhi! He looks incredibly handsome even in a school uniform!"

"Brother, kill me!"

"That's so cool! I'm rooting for Chen Wenzhi!"

Screams like these echoed through the sky. Of course, this only belonged to the second-year high school students. The third year was very uneventful, with only a few people occasionally looking up and sighing at the pure-looking Chen Wenzhi.

Several teachers gathered together, their expressions showing considerable appreciation.

"Xiao Wang, is this the top student in your class?" The math group leader patted Wang Mengyao on the shoulder.

Wang Mengyao was busy taking photos, so she gave a perfunctory smile and nodded.

The group leader, not getting the enthusiastic chat he expected, tactfully left and talked to other teachers about the child.

"Could he participate in math competitions?"

“I think it’s a good idea. I heard the principal was quite fond of this child a couple of days ago.”

Ying Qian, who was sitting in front of Class 3 writing a news report, heard everything clearly. While writing eloquently, she sincerely hoped that Chen Wenzhi could really be recommended for admission!

The excitement among the senior students began with Chen Chang's appearance, but he wasn't just holding up a class banner; he was a senior student representative who took an oath on the podium with a microphone.

His voice was always gentle, and he was a refined and elegant gentleman.

Many people approached Shen Yun in order to obtain her contact information or to become her sister-in-law.

"Classmates, give a thumbs up!" Wang Mengyao suddenly turned around.

The students in Class 3 all cooperated by making a peace sign. Ying Qian didn't make an exception; she forced a smile and made a peace sign as well.

This photo was Ying Qian's first group photo after arriving at Class 3. Her only regret was that a few people were missing from the photo, including those she cared about.

As the students in the marching formation finished their oath, they exited the field in an orderly fashion. The boy, bathed in the morning light, walked towards her.

"I want some water." Chen Wenzhi sat down on the empty stool next to Ying Qian.

Ying Qian took a bottle of water out of her bag and gave it to him. He was covered in sweat, and she asked disdainfully, "Is it that hot?"

“The school uniform is too thick,” he replied.

She looked at him like he was dazed. "Then why are you still keeping your zipper zipped up?"

Whether intentionally or unintentionally, Chen Wenzhi suddenly moved closer, and the scent of laundry detergent wafted over him once again.

The two were less than a foot apart. Ying Qian could even see the creases of Chen Wenzhi's reddened eyes and the faint mole at the corner of his eye. A drop of sweat fell onto the back of her hand as she moved closer.

That drop of sweat was cold.

An ambiguous atmosphere spread with that drop of sweat, turning into a sticky residue in the air, clinging to the two of them.

No one spoke, and they slowly savored the strange atmosphere.

She swallowed hard, her eyelashes fluttering a few times. Her gaze lingered on the boy's bobbing Adam's apple, then slowly moved upwards to his delicate jawline, high nose bridge, and the red mark left by his glasses on his fair skin.

A murky, filthy desire welled up in Ying Qian's eyes.

She wanted to close her eyes, her heart pounding like a deer's as she was stimulated by Chen Wenzhi's presence.

He was completely unaware of all this. His narrow phoenix eyes curved slightly, but not by much. Then he reached out and unzipped his school uniform, revealing a black T-shirt underneath. He said to Ying Qian, "Everyone else wears white underneath, but I wear black."

There was no response to this statement.

Ying Qian stared intently at the single, glistening drop of sweat on the back of her hand.

She thought: No, I can't look at Chen Wenzhi! He's too handsome. How can someone be so good-looking?

Chen Wenzhi paused for a moment, realizing that she might be disgusted, and then took the initiative to wipe it away with his sleeve.

She snapped out of her daze, giggled, and patted his strong shoulder with her slender hand. "Take it off now, it's awfully hot."

Chen Wenzhi took off his clothes, but sweat still poured down his face.

He was dressed in all black, standing out from his surroundings.

Everything around was white and blue, even the sky was white and blue.

"Chen Wenzhi, hurry up! Put on your school uniform! If the principal sees it, he'll say our class is getting special treatment and we'll be fined!" Wang Mengyao urged anxiously, looking left and right.

The opening ceremony performances were mostly dances, with a group of beautiful girls dancing to girl group songs, wearing crop tops. I was lucky enough to be close to the stage in my second year of high school, and the girls were practically right in front of me.

She stopped writing when she ran out of paper and watched the performance with little interest.

Chen Wenzhi wasn't interested in the performances and instead focused on studying the questions.

There are academic tasks in the second year of high school, and three test papers must be completed during the sports meet.

At first I complained, but later I chose to accept my fate.

Because of the huge playground, every grade carries a schoolbag and homework. Only the family area is a little more relaxed, where people play on their phones or work.

Wang Mengyao got tired of taking photos and wanted to sit down, but when she turned around, she found that Chen Wenzhi was sitting firmly in his spot, not even lifting his head.

A classmate patted Chen Wenzhi on the shoulder and said, "Hey, you're sitting in the teacher's seat."

"Huh?" Chen Wenzhi didn't hear clearly and turned around in confusion.
